It was a brisk fall morning. The chill wind made the trees sway gently. Change was enjoying a warm cup of pumpkin spice coffee. The steam gently swirled up from the mug. Change took a sip of mostly foam and smiled. “Ah good, the perfect roast.” After many failed attempts Change had finally brewed a palatable cup of coffee! Success! He watched proudly as the leaves fell from various trees blowing away in the wind.

ft. Dante (NPC) and the little morphling above (I hope it's ok).

Dante was walking through the autumn-colored bushes, gaze alert to catch the slightest movement. He was really careful not to let the dry leaves crunch under his paws. Suddenly he stopped: some morphlings had escaped, and he was in charge of getting them home before they got hurt. Dante crouched down and waited. The movement he had seen could have been any number of things, but either way he wanted it to come out. A small brown paw emerged from the bush, followed by the others. Behind them, a little blue tail. Dante leapt out of the bush and grabbed the runaway morphling by the scruff of its neck. Heedless of the squeals, he made his way home. There were more to be found, but at least one had been recovered.

All year, this morphling has been patiently awaiting the arrival of cool, crisp air, the rustling symphony of autumn leaves, and an abundance of cozy blankets. With a warm cup of cider in hand, it eagerly settles into a vibrant leaf pile, the colors rivaling the brilliance of a coral reef.
The wait was well worth it 🍂
