🧶 Flurrets 🧶 Seasonal Fair

The moment the wind dies down, the Three Flurreteers spring into action and race alongside the river! Despite not quite knowing what the object is that they're trying to rescue, something is driving them to save it.

Or perhaps they want to collect it despite the danger because it's very pretty and shiny.

Before long the river comes to an end and the flurrets skid to a stop at the edge of Lake Steady, all except for Sally who hits her brakes a little too late and slides right into the water. Suki is quick to help the red flurret out of the lake while Lien looks onward towards the floating object, which continues to slowly move out further and further from shore.

Is this how their adventure ends? What can they do now?

The good news is the object is continuing its journey to the other side of the lake where it will once again meet land. The bad news, however, leaves all three flurrets with an uneasy feeling. Sally and Suki stand by Lien's side and they all watch as the shiny object floats towards the Misty Woods. With all three of them together, will the Three Flurreteers be brave enough to follow?

With brave little hearts and quick little feet, together the Three Flurreteers scamper around the lake and make it to the edge of the Misty Woods where the shiny object is waiting for them, though just out of arm's reach. Someone will have to make the plunge and push the object to shore themselves, but who? Surely not Sally who had already taken an unexpected swim earlier.

Before there can be any further questioning, a small flock of birds suddenly fly out from the woods and startle the flurrets! Suki, who is spooked the most, ends up jumping right into the water without another thought! Sally and Lien scoot closer to check on their friend, who thankfully is only embarrassed by the forest's scare.

Seeing as they're already in the water, Suki swims towards the object and moves around it, using their nose to nuzzle the prize closer to shore so that the other flurrets can help pull it out of the water. Finally the Three Flurreteers have their shiny object! Upon closer inspection, this large object is none other than an egg!

The Three Flurreteers can't believe their eyes; they've never seen an egg so big and beautiful before! Its shell is colored a baby blue like the sky, decorated with fluffy clouds, a stunning rainbow sheen, and a dark crack--

Crack?

Sally, Lien, and Suki move back as the egg begins to wiggle and hatch, and the moment it splits in half there's a bright light! The flurrets begin to see a silhouette as their eyes adjust, and floating before them with feathered wings is another flurret of ethereal beauty.



"Hello, my loves."

The sound of their voice is almost like an echo from within the three flurrets' hearts.

"My name was Cirrus.
We had been lost and and lonely for so long until you found us,
and with your bravery you saved us while we were most vulnerable.
Even though I am only a temporary moment in your lives,
thank you for showing me love before I move on.
Please show my siblings that same warmth."

As quick as Cirrus had appeared, they then disappeared as if they were never there to begin with, leaving only a broken egg and three balls of fluff inside. Sally, Lien, and Suki crawl closer to peek inside, and to get a first look at their new friends now bound to them for life.

Bandit confidently makes the trek up the mountain, only to trip on a dislodged rock, curl up into a fuzzy flurret ball and roll through the caves until regaining his footing. When he comes to his senses, a bunch of bats are staring at him from the cave's ceiling. He thinks it's best to quit for the day. (Fear roll: 1) (-3 xp)
