wanted to try out dressing up a pet with this months items, and a background from another event

does anyone know how this attaches to the dog properly?? i've been wiggling it around and i can't seem to place it in a way that looks correct haha. it feels like a cape that attaches to the back, but it doesn't quite line up

I fiddled with it on the model on the store page, and I think this is how it's supposed to go? The curve on the bottom fits the curve of the dogs' backs.

It needs to go higher, above the shoulders. ^^ It is a cloak after all.

Went to try my hand with it and realized there were "cutouts" for the dog base's mouth and back fur on the cloak. I circled and placed the cloak on a black bg because it was hard to see against the green store bg;;;

Then I lined those up to the base and this is how it appears.

The first one could be the wild type
and todays one could be Axanthic (this gene removes the yellow and red tones)

I'd love to see a lavender, a coral snow or the super arctic morphs.
Maybe the first one split into a wild type and a conda?
(Though I only have three of that, so I somehow hope they don't split, but I heard of many getting lots of it - though wild type is the common look, so maybe it's just ending up as a very common?)

Calico's Thoughts on September 2023 Newborns

I'm super excited about this staff pets this year. The colour pallet on the pup reminds me of those Bermuda shorts most older lady golfers in my area use to wear whereas the blanket reminds me suns or childrens drawings. I hope we get a little bit of all these ideas rolled in one with all the different type of Staff Pets.


When I first adopted, the design on this kittens face reminded me of Rorschach inkblots, but since a couple have grown a little already, it does seem a little scaly, so these are probably snake related.


I'm not sure what to say about these Horses, but they are intriguing. The colours are interesting and I'm super curious to see what these grow into.


These Ponies remind me of fairy lights or fairy dust. They are cute. <3


These Butterwolves are interesting to say the least. I don't know what to make of them. They are white with a tinge of pink and the black looking ink. I do wish there was a EPPS, but since it doesnt look like it yet. I have high hopes for the wings for a nice outline design.


The Guinea Pigs kinda remind me of fuzz. The colour is very light and calming.


The Parrot Eggs are so tiny and so cute. I like the little yellow in them, but I don't really have much to comment yet.


These Deer remind me of ground. Like mud, roadways, gravel of sorts.


Horse 2nd Gens, how exciting and these two parents are a very interesting combination! One splat paint horse and a giraffe horse together could produce some really cool outcomes! I cant wait!!

Oohh! It was very hard for me to see the lineart of the apparel against the bgs, so I didn't even noticed that it wasn't there on the first image until you just mentioned it;;;

Hopefully my reply helped in someway in at least helping you notice the misplacement that happened

I was thinking the first one looked alot like a Granite morph (or something similar), the spots look too dark to be a normal wild-type. And I am super excited to see the Axanthic one grow up!! Although I would be totally fine with a PPS of the cutie

WAIT the ponies are based on underwater something!! I forgot if it's seagrass or kelp or coral or fish or what, but those colour schemes of the two growing ponies are DEFINITELY something like that. i am so mad I can't quite put a finger on it, but I am extremely sure they are based on specific things in the ocean.

Todays growth seems to be an albino. Thought we would get one xD (as it's a quite common morph)
But I'm pretty sure we have Hognoses ♥
EDIT: as it is quite a vibrant colour, it could be a Sunburst as well (Sunburst = a combination of albino and sable - sable being a more vibrant colour)

As for the staff pets:
I thought I could list my favorite growth per day so far xD
Day 1: (it was a close one between this and the goat looking one)
Day 2:
(it reminds me of something, but I can't put my finger on it... Something like a caterpillar, but this isn't it)
Day 3:
(it somehow gave me 90s vibes, maybe because the thing in it's mouth remind me of a Tamagochi xD
Day 4:
(it's so fluffy... somehow says border collie to me? Don't know why xD - one of my favorites all around so far)
Day 5:
(the swirls... I somehow really like them, though I can't say why xD - one of my favorites all around so far)

I had a feeling we would be getting them soon on the macaw lines!
