this host managed not only a nursery full of orphaned kits, but also nurtured a plant nursery of her own!
your job is to do one of two things:

1. come up with a plant that she has in her nursery. give it a name and a description.
(note: creativity is key! avoid existing plants from earth!)

2. with exposure to the homeworld simas, this sima discovered a myriad of new plant life
she's never heard of, many which could be added to her plant nursery! which plant(s) would she grow in her nursery? why?

name: Cressida (often shortened to Cress)
gender: female
personality: Cressida is not one to speak much, she mostly stays in the background tending to her plants. That isn't to say she's cold or aloof, she just prefers to speak in actions rather than words. She cares a lot about her plants and not a single one has ever died in her care. She has quite a green thumb for being a sima with origins in the abyssal plant-less void of outer space.

While she's not much of a talker, she isn't silent. She tends to be more talkative around simas that she knows well. She mostly talks about plants though (they are her special interest.) If you are close to her, you WILL be subjected to her infodumping about the star potato life cycle. You will listen. You will learn. You have no choice.
prompt 1:
A plant in Cress's nursery that she is particularly fond of is the blue bellflower. Not to be mistaken with the bellflowers of Earth, which are simply bell-shaped, the blue bellflower produces a soft chime when the petals are shaken or touched. It had to be put on a high shelf so the orphan kits wouldn't mess with it, since they loved to bat at it to make it chime.

It is rather small, only a few inches tall. Each plant branches off into several stems with have a bell-shaped cluster of petals at the end. Each flower also has a single bulbous stamen dangling from it, which really solidifies the bell appearance. While the blue bellflower is named for its usual brilliant blue color, it can also rarely come in variations of pink and white, and there are several cultivars in different colors. It is a pretty popular plant in the space flora trade.

Each blue bellflower has its own distinct-sounding chime, which is mainly determined by how often it was watered and the soil it grew in and the amount of sunlight it took in. Genetics play a part too though. There are many bellflower breeders who aim to produce flowers with specific and more appealing-sounding notes. It is very addictive to try to play music on these flowers, but if you do it too often, the petals will fall off and they won't make any sound anymore. Best to be careful!
