Ransolites.
They were discovered over a decade ago, inside a cave eating crystals. With the minimal research taken, scientists concluded these beings lived away from humans. Though fleeing into caves when in danger or afraid, they frequently left to explore and eat. They're omnivorous, eating meat, plants, magic crystals and even minerals which include stones, gemstones, and rarely dirt and sand (In all honesty they can eat anything if they want). Their size varies (it's up to you!) and come in a variation of colors. With their folded ears and flat pawpads, they didn't have much variation besides their colors and patterns. But when the trees started to fall, things went downhill. The air got more unhealthy, garbage and litter increased, temperatures raised. Pollution and deforestation began ripping apart their home and species. Causing a massive decline in population. To save their kind, they ate more than the usual amount of glowing crystals. Even if they knew it was risky, they hoped that maybe, it might give some magic abilities to survive the danger. While they did get magic, it also changed their appearance. Giving more traits. Wings, horns, increased intelligence and more. At first it seemed okay, but with the new traits, eggs became more vulnerable to diseases and more demanding in care. Eggs would frequently die before anything could hatch. While a Ransolite is usually fine and healthy once into the world, they struggled to care for the eggs and would frequently abandon them when they believed it wasn't going to make it. Starvela was smart enough to understand and care for the eggs, but knew she couldn't raise them all on their own or trust they can live safely in the wild. In order to save their kind, she knew they had to get Ransolites and humans to merge together, as one, by allowing humans and even other species to care for a Ransolite of their own.
These creatures by default are roughly big cat sized, but can be smaller or much larger regardless of rarity. They are completely made of crystal and very hard to break. These creatures lack a lot of things, they have no organs, their skin, scales or fur are simply a thin layer over the crystal. There is no digestion, anything ate whenever food or dirt, dissolves completely inside of them. They do not need to eat, but can feel hunger if sudden regular eating stops. Their friends and other magic traits can vanish temporarily to not clutter the Ran, but they can still have magic abilities not normal to Ransolites and completely outside traits as a whole. Ransolites do not age after reaching maturity, but if one were to want to pass, they can go into a state of hibernation where given time, their body stiffens and morphs into rock and crystal, no longer a living creature.
Language is unknown and up to the beholder.
What can you do now that you own a Ransolite?
For starters, anything you can see in the links in the original post! There's gathering, potion stuff, and even Dancing! Which TL:DR its the Ran version of reproduction! But what about other things? Well here is where you get that info!
Personality and gender can be changed anytime even without any alterations to the original Ransolite image.
Personal backstories are allowed, whenever wholesome, edgy, or normal, just don't break the rules! The lore you see above is not mandatory! If you want your ran to be flesh and blood, to age, or even be made out of straight normal rocks, go ahead! As long as you aren't directly changing the traits and passing them off as official its fine!
Adding clothing and scars is allowed! I consider broken horns a scar and not a trait. Some traits look like scars but as long as you don't pass your own scars as traits/try and replicate the trait as a whole, its okay! If you do add clothing/scars please keep the original image on hand and use that whenever asking for dances!
You're allowed to make families/friendships/relationships with other Rans as long as you own it or the owner allows it! Heck even put them with non Rans and its fine!
Trading/Gifting is allowed but PLEASE see this on how to trade them properly
If I am online and haven't sent you your baby/adult despite it being hours since it should've, don't be afraid to poke, I can forget!
Want to make a Ransolite Roleplay? Want a "Steal a Ransolite from the user above you?" form? Want a form for simply showing off your Rans/talking about their lore/plans? Go ahead! I wouldn't mind having a heads up so I can maybe join in, but there is little chance I will make them myself and honestly don't mind if someone else wanted to do it.
I am honestly opposed to public Discord servers, but if you desperately want to make one please come to me first! I'd like to be able to know what's going on/at least have some level of power to keep ran owners from going at each other's throats/breaking rules!

Frost Ransolites/Frosties
A perfect TL:DR is PPS pets but Ransolites
During growth, sometimes a Ransolite stays small. For some it's a blessing, for others a curse. This is the Frost Trait, a trait that is not usually genetic and can happen randomly, affecting the ran as a whole. The Rans affected are typically smaller but their traits can be that much more unique, perhaps one of a kind! Unfortunately, these Rans are physically a child, while mentally they can grow up, physically they cannot. Due to this they are unable to create eggs of their own, but can still go on adventures. All frosts are considered a rare Ransolite, but can hatch from any egg, whenever common or rare. All frosts have a Snowflake WATERMARK that could be altered, but is not necessarily part of the design!
Geode Ransolites
Deep underground, some Ransolites form- differently. It is unclear how it happens or why, some state they are Rans who wanted to pass but decided just in time not to, others say they simply didn't hatch fast enough and their environment consumed them, or they slept too long. Regardless, these Rans need your help. Sometimes on any adventure, your ran may rarely find an "egg", the egg in question being a rare Geode egg. A large rock that after about 12-24 hours, hatches into typically an adult ran oddly enough. From there, nothing will happen without action. They look like a statue, stiff with nothing flashy, no set traits, dull colors. It is what's inside that counts, the geode. By training and sending your Geode ran out on adventures, you loosen the rock around them and with each level more of said rock crumbles away. Once reaching level five, their shell with break and revel a stunning gemstone whenever real or fake. Their traits are typically more unique with newer lineart, but due to this large difference, they are unable to create eggs of their own, not even with each other. Their rarity is simply, geode and as of right now the only way to obtain one is from adventures or someone forfeiting their ownership of their own.
Unique Traits
While Frosties and Geodes have unique linearts for them alone, sometimes a grown one can have them as well! Unique traits are traits that are altered in some way that make them different and stand out, but also not restricted!
Unique traits all have rarities but typically match that of the trait it is altered from (Ex Unique Whole tree will still be R)
To avoid gatekeeping unique traits to increase value/force dances, I can at anytime reuse a unique trait on my or rans I plan on selling Special case Unique traits will never be reused, these can be traits based on OCs, a pet, or not my work/idea. Though ideas can be replicated/altered to be new and original.
If you do not wish the trait to be reused please let me know beforehand and I will see about it. Despite this, you still need permission to copy someone else's unique trait if it is not in the Archive.
Unique Traits owned by inactive users will be put on the Unique Trait Archive unless it's a special case.
Unique Traits not made by me or a helper who's given me permission will never be remade onto a new Ransolite. Though general themes can be replicated into new original ideas.
During the main holiday events (Xmas Pine tree, Valentines Love birds, Easter Bunny and Halloween Old tree) there are "Exclusive Unique Traits" which are simply unique traits that return every year and can be on ransolites sold during that time.
