Also here is a rainbow ultra rare since I saw some people talking about how adding more colours could mean that the blue and purple could be confusing.

IIRC the rainbow can't be used for rarities because custom pets already use it

I love this so much!!! Really good idea, btw out of the two I prefer the multiple question marks - because it's visually more like the rarities where the colour bar (or starts) is wider than the text

So I wanted to try making things a bit more organised but it might stray too far away from the system we have now so this isn’t a super serious suggestion just a little experiment.

I really like Pyromaniacal star idea seen here but I think having one of the rarities not have a colour is a bit lacking so if this half/full star rarity is to be implemented I think it should be capped at 10 rarities.

So I came up with this concept

I'm at work so I can't make my own mockup, but could you make one with the bar and the star at the end? Not all the extra stars, like the current rarities. Just a tiny bit less saturated for the colors too.
I personally like the bars because of how much cleaner they look. I feel all the stars are just a bit too much.

I think this is a very viable alternative for Unknown. I'm partial to the use of a single question mark. To me it's distinct and draws the eye. It's also less likely to be confused with any of the rarities - especially at a quick glance or to people who may have a degree of visual impairment.

I just want to add that I like the general idea of the various star bars others have created here. They look beautiful. I'm not sure which one is the best (they all have their strong points). But if such a design is chosen, I plan to wait until it is implemented to see what could be optimized/tweaked.

This probably isn't the place for it, but I have wished there was a better way to determine between the 'still growing' pets, and the ones that are full-grown but don't have a rarity yet. A slight color shift between blue and purple isn't enough for someone like me who often has trouble telling blues and purples apart. I can tell the difference, but it feels too insignificant or something like that. I would like it if the single-questionmark could be applied to growing pets, and the multiple-questionmark label could be put on fullgrown pets. The colors can be changed if we want to do that, but I would just like it to be more visually different.

Or still growing could be a 'Growing" question mark with the multiples? To show that it is still growing and then the single one for grown, just in case it is a PPS or one of the like to make it clearer?

I think the still growing pets can just not have a rarity bar. I remember a suggestion to create an unknown rarity bar for full grown pets to show the difference between them and still growing outcomes. The still growing ones would just not have one.
