You hold your map tightly in your hands as you traverse through the caverns. With only the light of your own lantern and the occasional glittering gemstone, you feel as though one wrong turn could be a death sentence.

Eventually you come across a fork in the path. You halt, looking down at your map. If you’ve been following it correctly, the Hall of Enlightenment should be close by.

The fainted glow luminated the right path, where the map confirmed the Hall should be. You eagarly walk forward, coming into a larger cavern.

Made of marbled stone and crystal glass, there is a glittering structure built into the cavern itself. An elegant carved sign above the doorway reads, “The Hall of Enlightenment.”

The cavern is well lit by several large rusted lanterns, flickering with magical flame. There is a large stone shrine to the Gobbess in the center of the floor. Piles of gifts and offerings surround it, various treasures and gems that glitter in the lantern-light.

You step past the shrine and through the doorway of the structure, into the empty Hall. The crystal glass windows cast colorful shadows on the floor, and the building feels strangely massive in such a deep place under the Earth.

Suddenly, the Hall is no longer empty. A goobie appears as if out of thin air, wearing dark ceremonial robes. He smiles at you.





OZYMANDIAS: Welcome, traveller. It is rare to see a new face so far deep in these tunnels. Are you here simply to make an offering, or…Have you come seeking communion?



You nod. So far underground in the dark and cold, it is impossible to reach out to the Gobbess on your own. But here in the Hall, her power lingers in the atmosphere. You are so close to having your questions answered.





OZYMANDIAS:The Gobbess is with us, friend. If you seek her wisdom, you will find it.
It only takes a bit of magic.

ENLIGHTENMENT RITUAL

once a day, you randomly earn 1-3 gooinies.







OZYMANDIAS: If it’s Enlightenment you seek, I know just the place.



With a candle in hand, Ozymandias calmly leads you to the end of a dark hallway, where the manicured marble of the Hall gives way to rough cave walls. You pass through a stone archway cut into the cave wall, into a dark jagged tunnel carved into the earth long, long ago. ozymandias says nothing as he leads you deeper into the darkness, until suddenly the tunnel opens into a small room.

You’ve arrived in the Ritual Room. There are candles lining the stone walls, their eternal flames flickering wildly despite the lack of airflow so far deep within the earth. They seem to welcome you as you enter, casting dancing shadows on the ceiling in celebration.

At the center of the room stands a massive idol made of stone and jagged crystal. It glitters and shines in the dim light, creating a colorful display. The Gobbess’ power radiates off the massive statue in waves, welcoming you like a warm ray of sun.





OZYMANDIAS: Here. You will need go recite this incantation, to… attract her attention.



Ozymandias hands you a paper scroll of the summoning spell. He leaves you with a quiet nod, disappearing back into the darkness of the tunnel.

With a sigh, you sit down in the center of the room before the crystal idol. Taking a deep breath, you prepare to call out to the Gobbess. You unravel the scroll and recite the incantation, your words echoing off the walls of the small room.

You close your eyes, your mind reaching out to the Gobly energy surrounding you. You pray to the Gobbess for light, for warmth, for the glory of her return. Here in the deep darkness of the Earth, surrounded by candles and crystal glow, you feel closer to reaching her than ever before.

You wait in silent anticipation for her response…

DEAL WITH THE DEVIL

once a day, you may gamble a maximum of 5 gooinies for 50/50 chance at double profit or losing it all.

rolls 51-100 : success (double profit)



Stepping into the darker corners of the grand hall, you notice a figure watching you just in the corner of your eye. Spinning around, you’re met with the sight of a demonic looking goobie, grinning smugly at you from the shadows.





BAAL: Well hello, traveller. Don’t tell me you came all the way down here just to pray to a Gobbess that abandoned you. Won’t you at least humor me in a quick game?



You fix this suspicious stranger with a inquisitive stare. What exactly is this ‘game’?





BAAL: Just a simple gamble, friend. You bet some your gooinies, and we roll a dice.. you either win double your bet, or lose it all.



With a flourish of his hand, the diab generates a d100 dice out of thin air. He holds it out to you with a grin.





BAAL: What do you say.. Do we have a deal?
