| Red Moon | Beta | W/ Liberty | On The Fence |
Nova’s ears perked to the sky as she heard the healer tell her that he’d be there. From what she’d heard from his howl, it did not sound like he was treating it as urgent care. Nova knew that Eros wasn't dying , but did not expect for a subordinate to tell her to wait. Inside, it made Nova want to bristle up and go tell Maison about his duties to this pack. No one should tell a higher rank that they were taking their sweet time when called. She was sure that she'd tell Liberty of his subordinate's disobedience to her. Being rude or not to someone he was with was not her problem. It has always been to listen to the higher ranked as they controlled the life of the pack. Of course, as she thought about it her tail had begun to flare at the tip. The Beta hoped for Maison’s sake that Liberty had not heard the howl of ‘patience’ from him. If Liberty did hear it , that meant that when Liberty found out about Eros being injured that he’d make sure that Maison regretted telling Nova that he’d be there versus showing up with urgency.
She howled back towards Maison, simply telling him not to come. He wasn’t there anyways and they had another healer in the pack who needed to prove themselves to Liberty and Nova anyways. Shortly afterwards had called for Alex to tend to the healer’s den immediately. Deep down she hoped that she would not get the same response as she did from Maison. Nova turned on her paw pads before trotting back to camp, just in time to see Gauge placing the pup in the healer’s den. ‘At least some wolf listened to me today.’ she sighed to herself as her eyes searched for the Alpha.
Briefly, the idea of their conversation from earlier had come to mind, she pondered the thought of his calmness between then and now. It was only a matter of time before she found out her answer. Nova set aside her miniscule fear of the unsettling conversation before. She huffed quietly figuring that she wouldn’t get far if she feared speaking with him. Especially if she planned on taking his place one day. She had to show the pack that they were a team and that she has enough will to handle herself.
“Liberty!” she barked loudly ,certain that he'd hear her the first time. She continued walking through the pack until she walked back over to the hulk of food that the hunters had gathered for them not long ago. As she approached the remaining carcass , her mouth nearly filled thinking about seizing a bone to chew on later in the evening. It was her favorite thing to do once everyone had eaten their share of the meal.
Finally, Liberty was spotted amongst the meal eating. She hated interrupting when others were eating, but knowing Liberty he may have been used to it. Nova slowed her walk for a moment and thought about lowering her body whilst approaching him. However, she knew that it would not help her in the long run. Like the Alpha , many wolves kept eyes on the higher ranked. She had not quite figured out why everyone always watched them like celebrities if they ever knew what that was. Her tail swooshed easily behind her as she approached Liberty with no fear. When he was in between bites of food , Nova dipped her head towards him. “Forgive me Liberty. Eros has been hurt during our race.” she spoke clearly - keeping eye contact and watching for his reaction.
“I had Gauge take him to the healer’s den. Alexandria or Maison should be there soon. I'd tend to it myself , but he's your son.” She explained the situation briefly to him as she remembered Gauge stating that he may have been watching them. She anticipated a little bit of backlash for not being careful enough, however they were wolves and he’s a pup. Eros is bound to get hurt one way or another and they were literally wolfing around. She lowered her hind quarters into a sitting position , allowing the silence to drag before she proceeded.
Now that the big bubble was out of the way , she decided now was the time to slip in the lack of respect received from a couple of pack members. "I wasn't aware that subordinates could tell the Beta to hold on. He was with someone , regardless his lack of respect has me tickled." She was displeased with Maison and hoped that Liberty would be there when she told Maison that his response to her was not okay. The Beta took a deep breath, her shoulders coming into a settle. She could not let the subordinate know that he'd gotten under her fur by putting her on hold. Maison and many others would soon know that Nova is not the wolf to play with .

| Red Moon | Fighter | W/ River & Akiro | Intrigued |
Orange tinged eyes looked over at River as she excitedly stated that she would go with him to the water. He tilted his head once more , intrigued by her semi nervous behavior that was quickly covered with a confident and excited tail wag. It was unclear if she was bothered by the idea of being around water or not , maybe one day he’d find out. Despite being new to the pack , Milo wanted anyone he came in contact with to know he wouldn’t make them face their fears. He wasn’t like most - not driven by power, status, or anger. Milo , typically, was calm unless provoked for extended periods of time.
River had shifted the conversation to discuss ShyFawn once more. It seemed to be a conflict of which pack he wanted to be in from the sounds of it. “It must be hard deciding on being here with us or staying there with them - if he continuously goes back and forth. Either way , I don’t agree that he should remain here with us.” Milo stated his opinion. He’d never , in his many moons, heard of a wolf going back and forth between two packs and creating ruckus beyond belief. If he were Shyfawn , he’d just go stay with his family. Even so - Milo would never understand as he doesn’t exactly have a family. Jet black fur , tipped with white here and there from the snow , blew back against his face as the wind kicked up again. The joys of living in Canada - lots of cold and wind all of the time.
His attention swiftly moved toward Akiro , after River and him confirmed that he got it right. With a light wag of his tail behind him he dipped his head to the other. “It’s a pleasure to officially meet you. River was just telling me all about you.” he nearly chirped with excitement. He fixed his vision on Akiro to take in all of the features on the wolf. Quietly inhaling his scent of course to be able to recognize him in the future. Milo took mental note of the brownish red fur and the mixture of hazel honey brown eyes to be topped with near dirt colored tipped ears and tail. He looked between the pair as Akiro apologized to River for startling her. Unsure of what exactly the brute was on about as River never seemed startled to him. Maybe he missed something while he was studying Akiro’s features.

| Star Light | Pup | W/Kairo, Yomi , Kuroi | Present - Sad |
Whilst sitting at the edge of the den Kiyu attempted to peek at whatever it was that the adults were doing. She could see a number of wolves gathering , the air filled with somber sorrows as the final goodbyes were said. However, Kiyu was in a den with the other pups in an attempt to make friends with them. The group decided on practicing their stealth skills with one another. A child’s game where they tried to sneak towards the end goal without getting caught. At least that’s what it sounded like to her.
Kiyu’s focus remained outside the den for a bit of time , analyzing the views of their older pack members. Her ears pinned to her head as the brief thought of her mom’s final memory crossed her mind. The gaggle of wolves gathered too when it was her turn. Something that Kiyu had begun to bury into the back of her mind.
The thoughts of her memory quickly faded when Kairo called her back into the den so they could begin the game. She shook her head, rearing her focus back to the present. “Comin’” she quietly spoke as she moved away from the den’s opening and towards the other pups. Just in time to catch the ending of the explanation. Hoping that no one would question why she was fixated on the mourning party. Now a few paw steps to the left of Kairo , she sat with her tail pressed against her paws .
- not sure what to post for Kiyu - start the game and I'll update next post for her. -

Growing closer to the border, his ears swiveled to attention, eagerly listening for anyone who could be nearby. After the strife of the pups today - he would not put it past them to start patrolling , he was. The eerie sound of ghostly winds howling in the distance .He made note that with the wind blowing east , they would smell him before he could find them . Champagne opals glossed over the nearby area, searching for another who may have been near. Nonetheless , Louie would not hurt them as long as there weren’t any problems.
His tail waved back and forth , lowered behind him, as he wandered along the pathway that rode just beside the pack’s great split. He figured that he could wait here, while he waited for the call from one of the higher ranks. The howling from the wind was the only thing that he could hear - besides his paws crunching the snow below.
Louie finally found a good spot where he could watch a decent portion of the border for intruders or sneaky little pups. He posted himself next to a large bulge of snow , obviously sticking out like a sore thumb with his light gray and white freckle pelt. His golden honey brown eyes danced along the lines of the pack divide scouting the area once again. It wasn’t long before he noticed a she-wolf on the other side. Not necessarily posing a threat, but close enough to catch his eye. He huffed to himself , pinning the idea of keeping an eye on her. A fae never could strike fear into Louie, not the way his mother used to when he was a pup. Ava , his mother, was a mixture of all in one wolf. He remembers her licking the top of his head all the time to keep him clean . She used her stern voice to keep him and his siblings in line. Even using them as her mini armory of fighters. Each of them were divine in their skill sets.
The brief image of her white and brown coat , stirred in his memory. A slender wolf , with her nose pointed to the blue bowl above to howl . He missed the sounds of her howling , something he found in Mira when they mated. She used to howl for fun and to let him know she was alive when she’d go out on hunting trips. “Oh Mira.” he whispered in somber. He started to feel an overwhelming sadness from the loss of his mother and mate. His mom perished when he was only three years old and lost his mate roughly two years later. A few months after the birth of his first set of pups - she was gone. A soft and low whimper came from the brute , but his body language never changed.
He shook his head to bring his focus back to the reality of things. They were both gone and there is nothing in this world that would help bring them back to him. Not Ava , Mira , or the other pups. He had to be strong , especially with the fact that he’d soon bury Kikui in a hole somewhere. Maybe he could get that done whilst he waited , but they would need to wrap up the ceremony and soon. He knew that with the rate of the snow fall - the hole could fill back up with snow instead of dirt. Louie looked up again to see where Freya was , wondering if she was going to test the limits of the borderline.

Star Light | Hunter | W/Open | Calm |
Athena gave the healer her space in order to take care of Cypher. Even though she was confident in their healer, the lack of empathy from Scythe was astonishingly disappointing to Athena. She thought that someone in medicine would not be so harsh with words when dealing with their patients. Assumingly, she figured that Cypher would be in shock and panic at the idea of being alright after an injury. The healer’s words felt quick with no empathy. Her focus shifted back on Cypher as the pair went back and forth in a brief conversation.
The healer had practically shoved Athena out of the den and told her to take something to the elder’s den since she could not do two things at once. “I’m not helping someone with an attitude like that.” she retorted , her voice now serious with a full punch of bluntness. The hunter’s tail flickered with irritation as she rose from the ground beneath them. None the less - Cypher would be fine once he healed properly. At least if he gives himself the chance to. Athena turned away from the duo and proceeded to pad away from the healer’s den. Instead, she decided to wait until the commotion was over from Kikui’s vigil.
Of course the pack was going to hold a vigil for the elder wolf, who she knew so little about. In her time here, she had only encountered the elder a pawful of times. He would tell stories to the pups to keep them motivated for their future to come. Nothing too striking there as that was something most elders did in their free time. She took a glance over to where Kikui’s final resting place was, seeing the abundance of wolves saying their goodbyes to him as they went along. Athena lowered her ears , while she and Kikui weren’t close , it was unfortunate that they’d lost a pack member.
Without haste, the wolf walked back to her own private den. It was placed just behind a tree that led to a pathway to the woods. A jet black figure made its way through the den area, thinking to herself about the recent events. Maybe that’s what set her off about Scythe - there was a sudden avalanche of issues arriving in the pack. She gave it a very brief thought before chalking it up to the fact that there is a lot going on at the moment. Between the elder’s death, Cypher’s injury , her missing majority of the hunt, the border issue from earlier. Athena could only imagine what was going through Destiny’s mind while all of this was happening.
