maybe something akin to what actual eng companies do could be nice? like have some board (like a Trello board) of suggestions that were accepted / being worked on / completed. but that probably doesn't fix the main issues, just a small exterior one.

Am I the only person on this site that has had no problems or reasons to complain?
I think it's a great game...

I believe we do have something similar to this (the denied/ active suggestions list) but a thread more like the idea you stated could be beneficial

That’s awesome that you have had a good experience, this thread is for how to make the site better so less people will quit as not everyone has had an overall positive experience

I'd love something like this!

Like, help tickets but for suggestions.

All I'd like is just some sort of 'staff has seen this' or a response that tells me concretely 'I'm sorry but this isn't something we can/plan to implement' or 'This is good feedback/a good idea and we will take this into consideration!'

Just an acknowledgement that someone who can do something about an issue is aware of the issue, and I either know it's possible or it's not possible.

It'd be a MUCH better way to do site suggestions than the forum posts because uuuhhh in all my years of CS those forums haven't amounted to much of anything.

The mods have become pretty controlling and strict about what can be posted in the forums. Anything questioning or criticizing them, even if 100% respectful and following all rules, is taken down. They’re likely only leaving this thread up because if they deleted it they’d be proving people’s point. They’re so focused on “keeping the peace” and preventing any sort of conflict that they’ve just completely restricted anything that could even potentially lead to the tiniest disagreement. No one is allowed to fully express their feelings without fear of being banned. I wouldn’t be surprised if even this message gets me some kind of warning. It’s so frustrating

People are not complaining, they are giving advice and discussing how the site could be improved. No one said the game was bad.

yeah! i personally love CS so much, but there are things that could be done to improve it and make the site a more friendly and fun experience. i think its fun in its current state but more could be done.. :D

really the reason this thread was made in general was out of love for this game and peoples desire to see it thrive, yeah? :] id love to contribute more but unfortunately words fail me sometimes lol. point is that this thread is BECAUSE people love this site and want to see it improve and be fun for them the same way it was years ago!

I think part of the issue CS has, (I’m sure this has already been said but I am just jumping in now) is that the only interaction you have with the game is 1st and for most trading, 2. Adopting, 3. The 4 events. (Which personally I love the simplicity of it) but the thing the site relies most on is the trading between players. Except there is no real guide for how you should be trading. How many versions of the “former list” are there? Not to mention, demand vs quantity, vs rerelease, even C$. There is no real guideline of value at all. Everything has different values to everyone because everyone jumped into the game at different points of its life. This makes it really hard for new players to get the hang of it.

I do love the changing values of things like with events and tokens, however you need a more steady thing for the bigger value items like the list pets and store pets. I haven’t spent one dime on this game but I have so much C$. It’s like the game has inflation itself and isn’t doing anything to fix it.

Tbf this was probably a very easy coding fix

I guess my point was more 'isn't it equally easy to at least acknowledge to the user base that they are being heard'.

I'm not saying that anything needs to get fixed right away. Realistically, I know it won't be if it is at all. The point was that there's been radio silence on the end of the people who can make the changes many users want to see implemented and it doesn't feel like a big ask to me to have just some acknowledgement of the community being heard and understood, even if nothing gets changed right away.

I agree with you on that! Back when the trade reversals/hacking was at its peak I lost hundreds of pets including an OMGSR without knowing what was going on. We did eventually get a response and Nick implemented trade notifications and messages for reversed trades, but for awhile it was a slap in the face having pets taken without explanation or warning and radio silence from the team. But the fact that we did get improvements makes me hope for more :>
It's mainly disheartening seeing stuff in the site suggestions board that's 10 years old with hundreds of supports and no word on if anyone even saw them. Other pet sites have a way for staff to flag/star the suggestions to let us know they've seen it and are looking into it or rejecting it.

I've been too busy to weigh in with anything heavy, but I want to agree with all of this here and to reinforce that I support the suggestion, or for some, the PLEA, that staff consider doing something, ANYTHING, to improve conditions on the two main fronts players are getting hurt by:

1. the imbalance of older pet / "list" values vs. new pets and how only store pets every seem to be very rare any more, and only during events can regular players really hope to get even rares. As an older player, I think it's APPALLING how out of proportion everything's gotten, and meanwhile the price of store sets goes up and only the rich can get richer. Not fun.

2. Staff are uninvolved. Like... we DON'T want or need micro-managing and policing. But we DO need to know the owners of this site care about what players think, and it seems a lot of the time like that's just not... really... very true. As evidenced by HOW MANY SUGGESTIONS are in this forum section that have TONS of support and just complete silence on whether or not it's going to be looked into at all. Why is it so hard to just communicate? Staff have lives, mods have lives, we ALL have lives. And many many players are taking time from their busy lives to try to have a dialogue.
