I think its less that and more people just want to be heard, is all. And this topic is great and all, but its downright worthless if the two folks who cAn make a change, don't even look at it.

No one here wants to bring them down, we all love the site. We just...want to be heard and see that our input as a community has worth.

I just feel like continously talking about how Tess/Nick won't do anything will get this thread locked, as it isn't really seen as "productive".

I love this thread and I'd love to hear more ideas and interact with the mod team more

The mod team can't keep this thread open if it devolves into jokey spam and references as it serves no purpose at that point, so please don't make posts like that. I've removed all of them in the last couple of pages.

I also just want to add that while I understand why this thread was made, it's not really a useful format for us to bump suggestions up, hence why the rest of this board is one suggestion per thread. If you had a suggestion over the course of this thread that you want taken seriously, the best way for us to do that is if it has its own thread in this board.

Please also make sure to check if it's been posted before and support the previous post if it has, as that helps us see which are more popular. And the directory at the top of the board, as that has a list of suggestions that have been definitely rejected.

I noticed the "About our team" hasn't been as up-to-date recently. I know it's because people are busy but it makes me sad that not everyone is represented. Do all staff members have the ability to edit that page?

Speaking of that area of the site, it would be cool for each role to have a description in addition to each person's interpretation of their role. With an actual role description, there would be less confusion (I know we kind already covered this but I don't think anyone mentioned the "about our team" page in particular).

When the coding messed up and there was that owl/squirrel you could adopt multiple of during the camping event? Nick got to that IMMEDIATELY. Like that was fixed and all the extras traded to the pound then deleted within like, minutes.

But the community coming together and airing their grievances with the site because they genuinely want to see CS thrive and not die out and want there to be actual change implemented over issues that users have had for a long time?

Complete silence.

Huh, I just realized that...

this is.. a very good point. how did no one else realize this earlier !?! unless they did.. not sure what to make of it. but it makes me sad.

Tbf this was probably a very easy coding fix

AGREED WOW! I saw that! This goes to show they only quickly resolve things they find important rather than seeing some community members voice their opinions so often and maybe making adjustments. It is a little disheartening to see. We just want to see CS improve and thrive.

I guess my point was more 'isn't it equally easy to at least acknowledge to the user base that they are being heard'.

I'm not saying that anything needs to get fixed right away. Realistically, I know it won't be if it is at all. The point was that there's been radio silence on the end of the people who can make the changes many users want to see implemented and it doesn't feel like a big ask to me to have just some acknowledgement of the community being heard and understood, even if nothing gets changed right away.

It is known that it's out of date as of the last staff change and getting it up to date is in the works to my knowledge.

Edit: It seems June Bug as an official artist and Ashki being back as a GH are both missing from that page however the other staff changes from the most recent staff update have already been added. I'm sure those two will come soon.

That's actually a really cool way to incorporate the explanations of the roles in a clear concise way as that page is already divided by role.

I agree with you on that! Back when the trade reversals/hacking was at its peak I lost hundreds of pets including an OMGSR without knowing what was going on. We did eventually get a response and Nick implemented trade notifications and messages for reversed trades, but for awhile it was a slap in the face having pets taken without explanation or warning and radio silence from the team. But the fact that we did get improvements makes me hope for more :>
It's mainly disheartening seeing stuff in the site suggestions board that's 10 years old with hundreds of supports and no word on if anyone even saw them. Other pet sites have a way for staff to flag/star the suggestions to let us know they've seen it and are looking into it or rejecting it.

I think this would be much more beneficial for you guys as well! Just so people are aware of your capabilities and limitations and have a full description of your role.
