WHY PEOPLE ARE QUITTING CS- A Discussion

okay really random idea time,,,

something to help fix (?) the cs economy a bit and boost new players

a little community contributed chest (??? not sure what it would called but,,) where players donate whatever amount of rare+ pets where some % could be donated to the pound and the rest % could be in the chest where at the end of every month (or 2 or 3 idk,,,,) players have the chance to adopt the pets

and to allow newer players a better chance of getting these, all donated pets get split 50/50 into 2 chests, 1 for regular players (donate a rare+, get a rare+) and one for players under 6 months or smth (no need to donate to get one)

that way people cant abuse it and it gives everyone a good chance of getting these pets, especially newbies (without getting trampled by older players lol)

that AND there would not be need for the staff to release new pets

if anyone sees flaws in this lmk HELP 😭😭

My only complaint with the site is the damage The List did to the pet economy. Some people just decided some pets were worth more for no real reason and even after discontinuing it, lots of people still follow it. The value gap between uncommon and rare is also way to high but these are economy things that I don't think have a good way for staff to fix them except by introducing very restrictive rules which I don't want.

I agree. It makes me so sad trying to trade my VR pets for someone else's VR pets from the same year but they tell me they still follow 'the list' and it's not fair. Some of the cats on my WL I have been trying to trade for for months, offering what i would consider overpay only to be knocked back everytime because of 'The list'. I've been here since 2014 and never really understood it.

yes. even with horror’s list, which simply helps to put a value on higher valued vr and up, it’s awful trying to trade. why did someone in 2012 decide that the tribals are hard to trade off and now they’re still hard to trade off? i just wish the rarity system was more defined or something. it makes trading pets so difficult. that in no way reflects on the staff, i think it reflects more on the community honestly. i just miss when cs felt like a community. now it just feels so greedy.

I agree. Memorizing the rarity of every single pet in order to be able to trade is beyond my mental capacity and is way too difficult

I've always found problems with the list and ended up getting massively scammed in my first year after adopting a minor list pet from the pound and trading it like any other very rare pet. I don't know how easy it will be, but I feel like instead of the common, uncommon, rare etc it should be a percentage instead of how many users on the site have it or something similar? I feel like that's much easier to do direct comparisons for how common something actually is and will make trades fairer.

The fact that Tess and Nick will probably never see this thread makes me kinda sad. There are so many good ideas and so much potential here, and the only people who could ever implement those ideas will never know about them.

Exactly! Like I love how lower staff is in support of these but...its becoming obvious they can't *do* anything about it.

It feels like we're just in an echo chamber and no one is listening. We have plans, ideas, we want to collaborate and try new things, but...who here who can actually implement changes is Actually Listening?

Until Tess/Nick comment on *any* of these numerous threads I've seen of similar topics...I have a sinking feeling its all pointless, and thAt is what kills my hope for this game more than anything.

aaaand there it is, my number one frustration with all of this hopeful chatter :( over 100 page of love, ideas, positivity, & frustration that comes from a place of affection... all for nothing at the end of the day

hard agree, we need more communication because of how many of these type of threads pop up and will probably continue to pop up
