Rather than making special release pets an extremely low chance of getting (which makes most collections impossible to finish since they count towards the numbers) I think they should have a guaranteed adopt on the 18th separate from re release. However they're ONLY available on that specific day so if you don't log in you still miss out.

so everyone who adopts on that specific day would get one? that would make the rarity of the pet shoot way down? we'd have uncommon ur pets.

I do think there needs to be more communication from the admins if a change is implemented or if there is a serious problem. It seems like some problems try to get swept under the rug quickly and are not addressed as they should be. For example, the security issues. There isn’t a lot of communication on what is happening and how much of a problem it actually is,

i think that’s because flight rising has a LOT more to do than CS. cs is basically just.. collect pets. and that’s it LOL

One more note, when I’m talking about the “people don’t like rare outcomes thing” I’m talking about the experience of users not being able to use the event discussion threads to talk about the event because every other post is just complaints about not getting the rare thing yet. It is not hypothetical.

well this site already has a bunch of rules we can add one more me thinks /lh
perhaps even a separate event rant thread or a ‘stay on topic of the event’ reminders since i do not think ‘i didnt pull x’ is technically event related. aka ‘no complaining about your pulls, everyone had their chance’

One of the other things to consider are users who are trying to get a nearly full collection of pets. Having to obtain the rare monthly pets would be another hurdle because as Lacuna stated before LOTS of people would have to miss out in order to have a VR as a monthly. It's already hard to obtain older pets/trade up for older rares.

one thing i mentioned in my last post is i personally want this game to be hard. i want it to feel rewarding when i finish a collection. games aren’t supposed to be easy! they’re supposed to be hard, rewarding, and fun. and if we got more regular VRs, there would be a lot more chances for people to just randomly adopt a valuable pet in their monthlies - and if they don’t want it, the demand of it sure could help them trade up and obtain older pets to trade with!

That’s a good point, I think I overthought how trading would work with that in place.

And with the topics of games personally I think it could be fun to implement some sort of minigames that can reward items/pets or something along those lines. But with the challenge of getting a certain score/level.

But that just might be me not knowing too much about forum games since CS is mostly the only forum-based game I play.

theres already so many small rules like that (with reason though) so i really dont understand why a “dont complain/rant” rule couldnt be added

Though this may just be me misunderstanding the 'CS economy'

Maybe we could have mini-events? Or something along those lines? I have no clue - all I know is that newer rares typically are obtained from events. But I don't know if this'd be in the realm of possibility because staff/artists shouldn't be overworked

That gacha dog from 2021 is a really good example of this going bad because majority will never get that one pet because of the super high pricing people put on them. I saw people with multiple of that gacha they had gotten just to extort people for high prices.

This is the exact kinda thing I worry about- people hoarding in demand/valuable/rare pets just to extort people out of their stuff. Its not a good thing that happens and I don't know what can be done about it, you can't really make a rule of "No hoarding rare pets just to extort" because how can you tell the difference between someone who just wants to hoard to hoard and someone who is extorting? but i see it somewhat often and it sucks and it makes me very sad lol


i will say though, thanks to this event i have gotten more rares/somewhat valuable pets then i think i ever have, and as a somewhat-new player it feels nice. Due to increased activity i've also seen a lot more gift-giving going around too! which is even better.

What would be the reward for it?-- badges for collecting a certain amount of pets, or completing a month/year collection?
