Clearly it's not the same and shouldn't be treated the same. It seems like a way to just moderate less?a line has to be drawn somewhere to prevent it from getting worse and hating things that could cause issues.
A line can still be drawn that is reasonable. I should be able to say I hate something [truthfully or not] without having someone breathe down my back for it.
Especially if I'm not ranting. Ranting is an issue, yes. But why can't be people be allowed to hate something and just express it?
Would I be able to say "I hate traffic"?
What about "I hate lace"?
Or is that hate speech according to CS?
Because CS apparently groups ALL hate statements together.
It's poorly defined in the rules. Not only that but why limit people's freedom of expression?
I hate the area where I live. It's too hot.
Is that a hate statement? I genuinely don't know according to CS rules, because it's so vague.

Pokefarm has the ability to make your own theme by selecting colors on a wheel for each section, and it shows you a preview of what you'd end up with. I wonder if something similar could be implemented here? (So for an example, pokefarm doesn't have a blue theme but I've made mine to appear different shades of blue so it's more pleasant/not as harsh to my eyes)

yk how in some relationships ppl r like "i love u so much that i hate u"? i think it's a similar sentiment hejfhjhKDJFJ not just outright disdain just like ... i love you but i am extremely disappointed in ur actions therefore i "hate" you (strong word)
it's also pretty common for people to say they hate something when they really deeply care about it. you can't hate something without a strong feeling attached ? that's literally just my take on it and i totally understand why u find it odd tho

Actually, i think these questions were answered when they changed the signature rules in 2015, you can see here...
So saying stuff like you hate traffic is totally fine (in your signature or not) as far as I know. There was an issue with people saying hateful stuff in their sigs, like anti-lgtb/religion, stuff like that... so that's why saying you hate more specific, targeted things isn't allowed. I think the rule is fine since it prevents stuff like this. I hope that makes sense .~.

i would probably be more prone to quitting if the layout was significantly changed, there are bigger issues than the site layout being "outdated" or whatever. i personally love the somewhat outdated look of the site, however there are certainly improvements that could be made to some parts of it, but i would hate for the entire site to be modernized.i think what might be better than changing the layout completely would be more board preferences!! i love the space one but i’d personally love a pink/valentines themed one!!
omg agree I'd go crazyyyyyyyy for a pink board theme, valentines or not... I've always wished for more board themes and we did get one with the new dark theme, but still...
