On the topic of board preferences, a dark mode qould be amazing. My eyes are a little sensitive + i have bad vision and would like to not make it worse by using the bright colors on cs which is why i use CS space but... what i really need is dark mode and i... cant find it in board preferences? Just seems odd to me

There's a desktop version I believe it's called CS Dark, which is a dark mode from the last year's summer event. :) I love it

i would really like one that is the dark green general stuff the same with just the white sections flipped to black (like comments)

yeah, please do not change the site layout :')
i would probably be more prone to quitting if the layout was significantly changed, there are bigger issues than the site layout being "outdated" or whatever. i personally love the somewhat outdated look of the site, however there are certainly improvements that could be made to some parts of it, but i would hate for the entire site to be modernized.

i think what might be better than changing the layout completely would be more board preferences!! i love the space one but i’d personally love a pink/valentines themed one!!

THIS would be so pretty, and even if not valentines, a pink board style would be so pretty

I'd love a dark purple board style!

if you're on mobile, at the bottom of every page there is text that says "view full site". If you click that you can use the desktop layout on your phone, so you can use the dark mode there too

But if we aren't ranting than what's the harm is saying you hate something?
I had "I have brussel sprouts" in my sig for like 2 weeks and no one batted an eye.

where is the line drawn? Me hating a vegetable or a game doesn't harm anyone
if they don't like that I dislike someone these people are by ALL means welcome to block me. It's just an opinion about a food/game anyway.

i think it’s because one is created by people while the other is a food? saying you hate spaghetti isn’t going to hurt any one’s feelings, but saying you hate phasmophobia could hurt the community/dev’s feelings. not that they USE chicken smoothie, but you know. a line has to be drawn somewhere to prevent it from getting worse and hating things that could cause issues.

imo it's harmless, just because someone dislikes my favorite thing, doesn't mean I take it personally.
If you don't like that I don't like something, move on.
Plus, my issue is more so with categorizing these "i hate x game/food/etc" statements on the same level as "i hate x people/group/culture".

A line can still be drawn that is reasonable. I should be able to say I hate something [truthfully or not] without having someone breathe down my back for it.
Especially if I'm not ranting. Ranting is an issue, yes. But why can't be people be allowed to hate something and just express it?
Would I be able to say "I hate traffic"?
What about "I hate lace"?
Or is that hate speech according to CS?
Because CS apparently groups ALL hate statements together.
It's poorly defined in the rules. Not only that but why limit people's freedom of expression?
I hate the area where I live. It's too hot.
Is that a hate statement? I genuinely don't know according to CS rules, because it's so vague.

i love cs, at least most of it
if i hated it, i'd have more sense than to stick around in waste my time, i have other things I could be doing but I'm here because I love the friends I do have here. /gen
it's just clearly upsetting watching it in it's current state, but I stay because I want to make a positive change in the community!

My thing about doing the desktop mode is that it's even harder to use the layout on mobile. I wish there was a dark mode for the mobile layout

I still want a dark mode CS Mobile design, having to do the "desktop mode" does not do it for me and makes it even harder to navigate.

seconding this. i'm almost exclusively mobile and the bright green makes my eyes hurt. i'd love more/other CS Mobile designs, especially dark mode

not super sure why this is still being brought up, but saying you hate cs isn’t inherently a problematic thing. it’s just weird and petty and i don’t understand why someone would actively participate in something they claim to hate so much. nobody is saying you can’t hate cs, it’s just counterproductive and makes zero sense to start a hate campaign on the actual website. you don’t go to a restaurant continuously after making it clear you hate the food. i don’t see how this is any different.

i love c$ been here since 2013 and still enjoy it, its an old site so its not surprising that it hasnt been super active. it was much more popular years ago but im sure it has not been able to keep up with modern games like kids love roblox and stuff. im an adult and i still come back to collect monthly pets and i participate in events as much as i can as an adult with a job. maybe more advertising could help chickensmoothie but honestly community here isnt "bad"
