oh shoot mustve missed it. I do really love ur idea about staff taking reign of the instagram and the reels will be very helpful to get the site seen and get more players joining in. including with what u said "how staff get ready to CS" within no face reveal, itll be cool to see some of the back end work going on!

Speaking of the mysterious back-end, it might be fun to get a little 'sneak peek' at upcoming litters/items. Not a whole design or anything, but really zoomed in or ridiculously blurred with little to no context given to help build up some excitement for future releases. Or, potentially, a timelapse of one of the designs at the end of the month or seeing designs that didn't quite make the cut.

Both are still very true. I was asked to remove an "i hate chickensmoothie" gif from my profile. If it had said literally ANY other game side from CS it would've been fine.
So in that case, how can both be true at once?

An 'I hate genshin impact' stamp wouldn't be allowed any more than 'I hate flight rising' or 'I hate chicken smoothie'. Per the following site rule;

“Anti-” statements in user profiles or as a thread topic. Statements may break this rule even if they do not include the prefix “anti-” if they are intended to be negative. Please express your interests in a positive manner.

But if we aren't ranting than what's the harm is saying you hate something?
I had "I have brussel sprouts" in my sig for like 2 weeks and no one batted an eye.

where is the line drawn? Me hating a vegetable or a game doesn't harm anyone
if they don't like that I dislike someone these people are by ALL means welcome to block me. It's just an opinion about a food/game anyway.

i also don’t really get why u would want to put “i hate cs” in ur sig?? there are other ways to express wanting/needing change to the site, and if you really do actually hate it, then…don’t play it?? lol

I said the same when I woke up! I was worried the thread would be locked or deleted. The reason this thread is so popular in my opinion is because from what I've seen and also heard other threads sharing unhappiness were locked and a lot of people are voicing their opinions so well and politely. I also think at this point the thread is wayyy too big and important to close so that's also really nice. I'm glad everyone is giving suggestions and that things are still lively c:

I don't really get this take though (and please feel free to correct me if I'm missing something here). You're saying we don't allow people to express unhappiness but this thread is still up/active and we are engaging with you guys on it so how can both be true at once?

The TRT had to be removed because it became a major source of straight up bullying. We of course allow negativity, just not at the expense of other users.

honestly i feel like its less of a choice whether or not to leave this thread up .. like yeah you guys can lock it but also that’ll just upset more people and it’ll turn into ‘were being silenced’ or something like that
we dont have any other threads to show unhappiness on, which is why all of this is comin out at once …

I love a feel good site, it makes me happy and is a break from real life stress. But desensitizing it so much it feels its criminal to be negative or against things or complain in a healthy, controlled way, just doesn't feel very good. These topics always blow up for that reason because its one of the only places we can express concerns without getting in trouble for criticizing the site, though most here do want to help it grow!

Sometimes saying what the site can do better or what its not good at now will lead it to being a better more welcoming place for everyone! ^-^

it’s an eye catcher for one but also some people are too far in the site/too committed to stop playing, while for others it’s sentimental or nostalgia still. i would’ve stopped playing long ago if this site didn’t have meaning for me, but it’s something i can bond over with my friends and it’s the place i met my bf so i cant just drop it and leave..

Im going to try to word this as best as possible, pardon if anything sounds rude, I have autism so if it sounds rude its not my intention.

The reason why this is both true at once right now, in theory, would be BECAUSE of the mass flock of users to this thread. If staff were to nip it in the bud right now, it would probably just enrage the userbase and overall not be good for the site. Correct me if you'd like but it just feels like if a similar thread would start but not catch eyes as much as this one did because of the word QUITTING (props to the thread maker, that is textbook business psychology of advertisement lol) , then it would probably already be deleted by now.

Of course there's also the fact that this particular thread has remained civil for the most part. If TRT would lead to bullying, then why not just keep a close eye on moderating it and editing users posts, like it's being done here in this thread? Users need a conduct to voice their opinions that isn't off site either, so that it can remain civil and available for all. I understand if TRT was too intense, but a different, better regulated thread could take it's place. I'm a big user of neopets too and while I don't use their forums much, I know that people are allowed to rant there about their feelings with the sites organisation.

There is a Trades That Are Good/Bad in Hindsight thread that lets users bemoan trades they regret without being rude to their trading partner. I think that's the closest we'll get to TRT and I think that's for the best

I feel that why should we be unhappy and not allowed to express it on discord or a private chat lol if CS rules are harsh on the threads to keep things positive I don't really have issues with the mods sometimes I feel dismissed sometimes but one of my friends a Global mod and they are pretty chill as long as we follow the rules which constantly update so sometimes these threads get locked down for multiple reasons.

Also bullying is number one reason or if somebody disagrees with someone highly or fights these types of threads get locked.

That is all I have to say on the matter XD please don't hurt me.

i think it’s because one is created by people while the other is a food? saying you hate spaghetti isn’t going to hurt any one’s feelings, but saying you hate phasmophobia could hurt the community/dev’s feelings. not that they USE chicken smoothie, but you know. a line has to be drawn somewhere to prevent it from getting worse and hating things that could cause issues.
