I just started my very first hoard today! I love cryptids and I was hoping this event would include my favorite wandering jammies ...

I've managed to collect 40 today and I'll keep hanging around the event swap thread to look for more! It seems a lot of people are looking for the other outcomes from that litter, it feels good to be able to help them out with some swaps. I knew I saved up all those tokens for a reason, hehe.

started a hoard for the mountain lions, as they're one of my favourite cats!! i saw some at a zoo once when i was a kid, and i just fell in love with them (: i have a stash of bracelets hidden away and i don't know if i should throw most of them into getting more mountain lions or wait for a bit longer...


also accidentally gathered a group of "friends" snakes by swapping all but one of the "best" snakes i managed to pull. dunno what im gonna do with them because im not a huge fan of snakes... might keep them though because i think these ones are neat!!

It sucks when someone has something I’ve been looking for forever sends me a message saying “ Sorry, but I don’t trade people who hoard. “ because it’s happened once and I was pretty sad about it, Because ofc I understand like i could give them to people who need it and stuff like that, which is why I have a pound. I accept their opinion, because a few people don’t support hoards.. but it is sometimes saddening ;-;
I have no hoards yet, I deleted them because the public didn’t like it so far, but I want to start a mini hoard of 3 rocks as well so my one rock can have a fam :3 and a hoard of the summer wolves, around as many as I can get because irl I’m in “ the Wolfpack “ and I’ve been in itt for 6+ years and it’s my thriving friend group that I’ve had <3

Yeah, those messages are indeed not what one would like to read, but don't listen to them.
Hoards are not forbidden and just a different way of "playing the game" so to speak. ^^ You are trading for the pets like any other user, so it's your right to have more than one of them.
"The public" is smaller than you think, most people are okay with hoarders. Especially when it is about more common pets or only mini hoards.

Yeah, those messages are indeed not what one would like to read, but don't listen to them.
Hoards are not forbidden and just a different way of "playing the game" so to speak. ^^ You are trading for the pets like any other user, so it's your right to have more than one of them.

I think it is all a matter of debate. It would be one thing if someone was somehow able to hoard every single one of the same pet and absolutely refused to trade them. But honestly, what is so different about a group full of different VRs and a group full of the same VRs? In general, there are thousands on thousands of adopted pets, there is enough to go around. c:

I feel you. I havent seen any ofsuch messages in a long time tho.
I hoard all cats in the new lineart (not sitting or malk ones). I consider it as doing the community a favour. Normally commons can stick in trade groups for a long time and have very low demand. People often visit to swap hoard pets, get pets with better demand etc.
I also.hoard the malk penguin pps, which has decent demand and is very rare. I felt wrong at first, but not anymore. If i can find 30+ and (over)pay for them, i am sure others can find 1. I havent gotten one in 2 years tho.

Hoarding is a matter of opinion. Soms people dont like rare and rarer hoards, but i havent seen many who dont like common hoards.
If you like it: hoard it. Dont let anyone stop you ♡

A lot of users are very okay with any hoards that are uncommon or less, but not rare+. It's a question of availability for them and most users who are against those kinds of hoards are usually newer players or not so active ones who don't have that much trade fodder.
And I CAN understand their feeling of seeing a full page of OMG so rare pets that I don't own myself, but in the end, I share your view - one page of different or one page of the same VR. Potato, potahto. :')

I've stopped caring about a complete collection myself.
Why should I bother to trade for those hard to reach pets I don't even like that much, when I can focus on these cool very common pets from last month =P hehehehe

ahaha. I guess if I am being honest, it sucks (as I am trying to complete my collection) when someone has like 30 of the pet I need and I cannot, for the life of me, trade for it *ehem... space event galaxy cats* BUTTT.. at the same time, I gaze upon my skeleton hoard and think "wow.. that would be so hypocritical." (I only have one "valuable" hoard though) I think where I can rationalize is that those pets get re-released. There will be a ton more at the end of the year.. it makes me feel less guilty about it. But STOREPETS... haha just kidding. I just think it's impressive. It's not like those pets aren't any less hard to get for the hoarder... in fact, it is harder sometimes because people know you hoard them.

But I agree, do what you want! Everyone will have opinions, but at the end of the day, it is your experience. And you have a whole thread to cheer you on!
