I have the stickers and the pins! Showing my age here LOL. A good amount of discussion happened earlier about revisiting physical merch, and I think it's an interesting and nuanced conversation that deserves its own thread :)

holy smokes I forgot about the pins! crazy

I just looked at the spreadsheet- mini events/ monthly events would be cool but I imagine would be too much of a task to pull off. I feel like the increase of lil bonus litters we have gotten recently have been an attempt to do this: world oceans day, more new items for the store, the limited-release birthstone sets, pancake day, etc. These people only have so much time in a day

but an item re-release??? I LOVE THAT. The lost and found is relatively new considering the age of the site. With its birth, I wonder what happened to the items lost from banned accounts before the lost and found existed. Did they keep track of how many of which items? Items are harder to trade for since they don't have rarities so they're very subjective and people are nervous to offer or trade them away. I think an item re-release is my favorite thing on that list

Hear me out, item rarities

don't mean to interrupt, just adding my 2 cents, and i'm sure someone has already mentioned this stuff before, I haven't read through most of this thread but
I really wish getting older pets were easier, I've actively been here since 2012 and I still don't have a single OMGSR pet, now granted- I have barely tried to trade for them xD but that's mostly because I'd have to trade a lot of my pets for them and I'd rather keep more pets I only have one of than sacrifice them for just one OMGSR pet, and it's hard to get into trading rarer pets when you're not that familiar with what people view as their value, so yeah I wish they'd add more days like Dec 18th since there's pets I've given up on getting lol and I dunno how new players could even get older pets without people being really generous

what if...we had like a rares pound/lost and found, that would only open every once in a while (with re-releases or older ones) sure maybe the value of older pets would drop a bit but over all I think it would be really fun especially for newer players

I think a discord would be cool, but I would be a little concerned about safety issues with it, wouldn't coppa players want or try to join even if they may not be old enough? and CS wouldn't be able to monitor DMs. I'm not sure how all that works but maybe there's a way for updates and things to be added to the site more instead
CURRENTLY.... SORTING ALL MY PETS, FINALLY

For me items are hard to trade because there is no rarities. It’s hard to know if you’re trading an old item from 2009 for something that was released a month ago, at the bare minimum I think there should be an item name and date on each item

I do think there are some rarities for items if I'm not mistaken

Pixel Cat's End has an official Discord Server that is view-only. It would be interesting to see CS do something similar, as it would negate the need for intense moderation of a Discord Server.

A Discord Server that implements:

2. Announcements for Events
3. Announcements for Pound / LNF
4. QnA sessions
5. Suggestions

Would be really interesting to see!

I have to disgaree with CS having an official discord. I believe the admin have already stated previously that nothing officially CS will ever take place on discord, and that is because it is not possible to protect the child user audience. They can monitor the channels and server, but they cannot monitor DMs, and that can make it all too easy to give a potential predator an opportunity.
Chickensmoothie has been thankfully free of predatory behavior and that is becaus of its strict regulation what is allowed to be posted on forums and in PMs. This can often be suffocating and boring for the older user base, but it is a necessary precaution to protect children on this site.
The perception that CS is mostly adult users is based on limited interactions in forums and in CS-related discords but does not represent the actual number of children they may not be as active on the social side of chickensmoothie.
While having a discord would make chatting easier, and would likely breathe new life into CS, it comes at a risk that many users and the admins are not willing to take. Even if the site was 90% 18 and up, I still believe the staff would choose to make this a comfortable environment for children as this is and has always intended to be a children's site.
i like chickensmoothie :^)

I agree with this however it can be solved by making it read only and for people to get direct notifications on things

Another thing that could be done is making an official Chicken Smoothie app? I don't believe I've seen that suggested before
