WHY PEOPLE ARE QUITTING CS- A Discussion

The idea of an official discord server for Chicken Smoothie could actually be a nice way for people to communicate with one another, and be able to communicate with staff

i remember there being a big one, tho i'm not sure what happened to it? i was in it a few months ago i think. there is one CS discord that exists right now though ! i'm not sure if it is considered "official" but it is the only one i know of right now that has a decent amount of members and is active. i don't have the thread but you should be able to find it in the other websites forum, i think it's called CSDS

I saw a post in here and I was wondering if someone could explain to me as I don't do much in the C$ Store, there was an inflation in price of C$?? As in the items in the store or the actual cost of buying C$?

Someone fact check me on this, please! So what happened was, I think, individual players were buying large amounts of store pets to use as currency. Due to this the rarity (and value) of the store pets went down because there were so many in circulation. To combat this, the cs team raised the price of storepets to I assume discourage mass-buying. Hope this helps

i'm not entirely sure that there was an official one ever, but there's always been the active unofficial one on discord. i guess it's different because staff isn't actual CS staff, just random members who have been active in the discord? also the fact that it's unofficial makes it more difficult for new members to find

Re: some feedback I've gotten
The Spreadsheet contains every suggestion made by a user. I will not "prune" it per se, especially because that would be an opinion-driven process where I may remove a suggestion I personally disagree with, but that resonates with a portion of the userbase. If you see something on the spreadsheet you disagree with, feel free to comment politely on it, but understand that the user(s) whose opinion that statement reflects deserves the same standing as you :)

There are a handful of things, even yellow/bolded topics, that I personally disagree with. However, I'm not going to hurt the reach of those stances because of my own opinions.

I was contacted by a member staff thanking me for the spreadsheet. It is comforting and great to know that staff are taking community feedback into consideration, and I wanted to let the thread know this! <3

Stuff I Like

...it might be good to turn the discussion to what users can do. If you want a better site guide or trading rarity list that is something you can work on...If you want to revitalize the roleplay boards, start some RPs. If you want new users to come to the site, invite some from another site or discord you're on and offer them mentorship if you're able, or just friendship. If you want to have a guild of people who collect dog lineart pets, start one in the clubs board.

Encouraging the staff to quit if they can't handle user "criticism" is such a thoughtless and cruel take...Neither of those are helpful and they demonstrate an incredible lack of empathy.

Thank you! I was wondering if there was a discord for this game. It would be nice if there was an official one. Fan made discord servers are nice, but with official ones communicating with staff and sharing ideas would have a better chance of being seen

Ah I see. That makes a lot of sense. I've been seeing more and more rare store pets lately and I was wondering why that was when they were very rare all the time lol

Pixel Cat's End has an official Discord Server that is view-only. It would be interesting to see CS do something similar, as it would negate the need for intense moderation of a Discord Server.

A Discord Server that implements:
1. Site Updates / Announcements
2. Announcements for Events
3. Announcements for Pound / LNF
4. QnA sessions
5. Suggestions

Would be really interesting to see!
