Really glad people are bringing up hoarding being an issue tbh. I thought I was just being sensitive lol. But man, as someone who hasn't been on the site for as long as most other users have, it's really frustrating seeing people hoard tens or sometimes literal hundreds of ONE older or uncommon + pet and making them ridiculously hard to trade for, or just not trading them at all. If people are willing to trade off pets they have plenty multiples of without issue, I don't see a problem with it, but unfortunately it seems like that isn't the case with most hoarders.

as has been mentioned in the past, this is a collector's game, and I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with "hoarders", I have a few hoards myself that I've had for years. for example, my sin and virtue foxes from 2014, I have quote a few of them, and I obtained them around the time that they were released. I worked hard to get as many as I did, andi don't particularly feel inclined to start giving them away because someone else thinks it's "unfair" when I worked hard to accumulate them.

I love how many people are contributing to this post without being overly pushy with thoughts. I'm so glad we all have come together to discuss the weaker points of CS :>

I'm laughing a little at the hoarding comments ONLY cause some of the biggest, most ridiculous Hoards belong to CS staff

^ this would be a win lose situation with hoarders, they probably spent a decent amount to get that many pets but on the other hand it could make the newer players be able to get some of the "rarer" pets

Just 100% no? however they get them from friends, family, legitimately trading for them or even having them when they were originally uncommon becoming very rare, the answer is not limiting people from doing what they want to do

Honestly wish they would keep the mini games that they make for summer events on the site year round and have pet drops/item drops from it. Itll keep players busy and more active, while also adding more pets to the trading circulation.

Anyways. as always my suggestion is more re releases.

i definitely agree!, i think if we as a community actually wanna push certain ideas forward to better the site, we need to prioritise levelling the playing field by boosting pet availability and ease of access to higher value items, not taking away/ limiting older players who have built up their rares over time! that would only create divide and unhappiness within those players, and it ultimately isnt fair to control who can have certain pets.

Luaii wrote:I don't agree with any of the suggestion that would set limits on players themselves. The solution is not to force people to play a certain way or police a certain playstyle. What we need is a change to how the site functions, such as the pound and rereleases. Yes, there are certain issues that stem from the community itself, but imposing limitations just seem unfair to me.

Seconding this ^ My way of collecting pets is to 'hoard'-- I like to have many of the same pet. But I trade fairly for the pets I 'hoard', and I disband hoards when I no longer want them to sit. It's the same with other hoarders-- I feel like if everyone else gets to collect pets the way they want to, why should my way be limited?

Hordes are only bad when you’re mean about it, friendly reminder! People work really hard to collect things, and this effort should not be limited! If you want to collect every of a certain oet on the site? Go for it! As long as you are being polite and respectful about it.

Agreed. Maybe something similar like what FR has got going on? I always love playing the FR games, even the puzzles.

I agree! I think an arcade of sorts would be a very good idea, even if just for fun
