I think Seraphine and Cirrus went to check out the fire that Green cabin saw from the top of the firewatch tower. Someone burning a campfire in the middle of the woods, in the summer? That could be dangerous - Seraphine would definitely want to check it out, and bringing a buddy along is good practice when hiking in case you get injured and someone needs to go for help. They also brought along trail-marking equipment, so the likelihood of them being kidnapped from the camp seems low to me.

I'm not sure that "real" cryptids are involved, but I'd like to think so! Maybe it's more like a Scooby-Doo plot where someone is pretending? Another clue is that the lake is called Lake Tess - it's the Loch "Tess" Monster! The red eyes are definitely Mothman; it's one of his distinguishing features. Bigfoot is thought to live in deep forest caves as well.

I don't think these are malicious disappearances or kidnappings, so I don't think there are any "suspects" per se, but I think someone at camp definitely knows more than they're saying. Conall said to think of it like an adventure; maybe this is some sort of camper initiation or counsellor prank gone slightly awry?

I definitely think more counsellors will be "missing" tomorrow - I think Mason is going to strike out on their own, or maybe with a buddy, to try and find the cryptids. The best course of action is to talk to the other campers, get our bearings, and strike out first thing tomorrow for that cave in the woods. Campfires don't start on their own. Someone is out there!

Agreeing with the "lured away" thought. Might even be illusions at work. Not sure if it's nefarious necessarily, but I think instead of being taken they both went - potentially hastily - on their own. Partway through I thought something about Cirrus finding baby bears and deciding to bring them to the cave with Seraphine so they're safe or something.

I have a question for Mason (or anyone else who knows about this): Can you tell us more about the "relief who stays here" that Seraphine told us about? What kind of person are they? Is there a schedule as to when they're around?

i think it is a PRANK. or like the main camp activity. have all the cabins work together to solve this mystery put on by the camp staff. hiding clues relevant to each cabin in places they're likely to go. everyone is in on it.. a test of teamwork and perseverance..

I think since Seraphine had maps and neon yellow paint in her tower and the trails being marked that she willingly went looking for something and marked her way.

I think something happened to Cirrus and maybe Seraphine rushed to help or maybe something took her. BUT a green clue mentioned there being a fire lit on the other side of the lake and someone had previously taught her to build fires in another cabins clue. So if something did take her she is now safe (?)


"There are a few people in a canoe who you recognize from the Glampgrounds, and they seem to be heading out further into the lake with quite a bit of gear" They are the ones in the boat called Fintastic confirmed by green & Creamsicle clue

Deep in the woods, there is a cave where it was rumored that a cavern full of glittering gems beyond your wildest imaginings lies hidden, waiting for an intrepid explorer to discover it. For many years, scientists studied the cave--from its giant waterfall to its glowing mushrooms--without discovering its secrets. Then, one day, there was a collapse! All of the rocks in one part of the cave crashed to the ground, and those in the cave traveled through to find the rumored crystals a mysterious land where a civilization had lived in a cold pocket for thousands of years. It is rumored that those explorers even found a way to travel through time and found proof of ancient animals. They weren't supposed to bring anything back, but I think they might have. Late at night, you can sometimes hear strange noises in the woods, and I've heard tales of strange beasts that don't look like any animal we know...

Nothing 100% concrete with this one imo but this paired with several of the clues linking to cryptids it'd at least suggest that there's local legends about whatever it is that's out there. Even if it's totally logical and this is just legend.

I believe this is a ref to the cavern summer event from 2 years ago! but maybe this will be a crossover event!!

I think that cirrus and seraphine went off voluntarily but someone is messing with them now! (the altered trail sign!) i do NOT trust the glampers and suspect it may be some kind of revenge for getting yelled at by camp staff >_> cirrus might even be in on it!

i think they had an agreement with the beast of loch tess so they could run annoying generators at night and now she demands a SACRIFICE!!! they probably made them walk the plank... into the beast's mouth!!!

I'm wondering if Seraphine already knew about the cave with the portal. Their design being a dinosaur fossil cat might reference that. Maybe the reason they've been saying cryptids are explainable is because they know they're real animals from ancient times.

As you leave, though, your flashlight catches on a red reflection in the bushes.
