I totally agree with quality over quantity as that's what I have always been taught to write for when responding to something, but a lot of times I really think you need that quantity to help explain those details that help out with the quality of that post. I have written numerous essays that have required that quality not quantity thing going on, and the reason I joined RP sites was so that I could escape from that, allowing me to explain something that would help the reader understand as to why that action happened no matter the length of the post. Now is it literate to this scale? I'm not sure, but honestly I think every one here is literate, even if they don't post the whole word or they really don't complete the scentence. If they can read, they can definantly write, and since being 'literate' is being able to read and write, they are definantly literate if they are attempting to respond. But sometimes I believe they are rather lazy about actually putting down a responce and so I join literate RPs due to the fact that I know if I use my time to post something, others will also as well take time to respond.

Semi-Lit RPs to me are questionable, since it means something different to every one else. To some it means three scentences is fine, some others it means a nice chunck of 9 to 11 scentences. I fall under the 9 to 11 scentences. Semi-Lits are sure the way to allow a person to grow, seeing as they have no set boundries they are able to see the different types of writing abilities. But if I don't see the effort to at least connect to others in the RP, despite the difference in word typing, then I don't give the effort to them.

Yes. The more I think about it the more I think that maybe the Five Point Scale would compliment the Literacy scale. So semi-literate would include 2, 3, and 4 from the Five Point Scale. Literate includes 4 and 5, Illiterate includes 1 and 2. Any thoughts?

I think I'm either a two or three. Not sure. I might as well be illiterate! DX

Keep at it then, and don't loose fate. I really wish I could find some of my first RP posts. I was awful back then! A -10!

My best posts are when my characters aren't talking, or interacting with others.

Hmm. Well, RPing is all about talking and interacting. The only way to get better is practice.
