WEATHER !!

NEWLEAF || The sun begins to peek through the leaves as the dark and heavy clouds of Leafbare roll away. Birds begin to trill earlier in the morning, and the hibernating rodents stir from their slumber as they seek out meals to fill their aching bellies. Prey will be easier to catch, and kittings will grow easier on mothers. Cats are less desperate for homes and will be friendlier to patrols. However, with warmer weather comes more danger. Predators are no longer hungry and vicious, but they have full bellies and growing muscle. They lay unseen, waiting to attack. Twolegs sightings grow more common as well, though cats do not know why the strange creatures seem to prefer warmer weather.

acorn's kits are apprenticed? it seems like yesterday they were squirming around the nursery *sobs*. anyways she's sooo proud of them and they are assigned mentors. the four are so excited that they spend all night up chittering about what it's going to be like. littlepaw, ready to graduate and move in with her girlfriend, tells them to shut up and if they go to sleep they'll be able to start training sooner. they are like oooo you're so right bestie and go to sleep. finally. they wake up and are ready to seize the day!!!

wolverinestar is getting ready to tell hailthroat how she feels and that they should make adorbs babies, but then the night before the ancestors catch her and are like. wait. we know we told you to have kits like yesterday, but there's rumors spreading about disruption and evil and blood and maybe you should wait BCS we don't want our heir to die, yknow? wolverinestar, acting like she's mad but secretly grateful she has more time, promises to keep a look out.

vultureclaw is training with the bad juju spirits every night at this point. they still haven't told him what exactly they'll be doing, just that the ancestors are corrupt and they chose wolverinestar out of their rotting hearts and idealoigies. for some reason, vulture believes them. sigma male type beat. anyways, he begins to subtly drop hints that maybe wolverinestar's line shouldn't be leader. and who chose her anyways? most cats are appalled that he's talking bad about their leader. but some listen...

creekpaw and honeypaw spend the moon in the medicine den, confined to bedrest. they are a little embarrassed that their first training sesh went so poorly, but the clan seems very supportive and tells them that it's normal to be so excited. lichenbite comes to visit them daily, proudly nestling up and telling them stories until they fall asleep. he loves them so much and he would die for them (foreshadowing?). Anyways, they are such a cute family unit. sorrelcreek looks on happily and begs flintcry to tell them. he hasn't spoken much to anyone to be honest, too many voices talking in his head. but his first words are to lichenbite while he comes back from patrol. he says that sorrelcreek loves him and is proud of how he's raising their kits. she also asks if he can tell them how proud she is of the kits. flintcry shuffles away before lichenbite can rouse himself from his state of shock, but he obliges and the family shares tearful appreciations of sorrelcreek.

at last, the thaw has come. flower buds replace snowdrifts, and the land is freed from frost.
clan can expect to find more prey, more herbs, and more cats looking for a home. however,
predators have started coming out of hiding as well, and may pose extra threats in the nice
weather; beware to those who try to challenge them.

- Burrowkit is found! (Lost and Found event) When retrieved, this kit seems to find peace in digging and burrowing into the soft soil. They are brought to the nursery and taken in by Sprucecinder, who, after closer examination, hands her over to Onyxflight.
