A soft chuckle escaped the small males mouth,
“Yeah…the warriors do eat though. I might just have to need something. Something to keep my strength up” he responded.
Listening to the silence before Labrador responded made the cheerfulness fade away. Even though the fellow hunter tried to move it on, changing the conversation to about the patrol, Kane felt he must talk to about it.

“Well…yes I will. I slept in a bit so I should do my job…” he said softly,
“But…hey…” he said gently after a small bit of silence. He scooted himself closer to the larger hunter.
“Was there anything that happened today that made it seem different?” Kane asked, looking up to try meet his eyes,
“Or…what causes the day to become just like everyday?” He asked again after a moment. The small white wolf’s ear lowered slightly.
“I-Im sorry. Those were some personal questions…but I just sense there’s something…going on”

They sighed as they looked down at the pup. They tilted their head as they regarded her a moment, looking to the others then back to her. They rolled their eyes as they saw Shy Fawn get caught...They shook their head, and looked at Daisy. "Don't go near that wolf...the one Liberty is dealing with. He came back, but I don't really trust him right now. Now...why would you go to our rival pack?" he asked her. "You don't have any family or friends there...and aren't some of us your friends?" they asked.

They looked to Hyuuga and the pup again. They waited alongside him, for her to give some sort of answer.

Deep foresty green eyes with gold ringing the pupils looked at them both. The white foot black phase she wolf sighed with relief. The other she wolf had said thank you to her. She nodded to her, then glanced towards Blaze a moment. "I'm worried..." she said, though didn't really elaborate on that. Nova didn't ask, either, or say anything more on it. She didn't know why she'd acted like that. Nova was a pretty she wolf, and Blaze seemed close to her or at least respectful. Was it jealousy, then, she asked herself? She'd never even really liked anyone before...so she didn't know. Shaking her head, she offered a small smile to the other she wolf. She then looked to the pup, and offered a canine smile.

She felt something as the pup smiled at her, some sort of maternal feeling or such. Shaking her head, she watched him. She nodded as he told her exactly how his dinner had been. She gave a little wolfen laugh, more a bark or such really. "That's good," she said, about him finishing the meat. She then nodded again, when he said the two were going to have a race. She wagged her tail a bit, saying "Good luck on the race." She then thought on something. She said "I could...be like a referee, if you two want. I could watch you and tell you who wins," she said. "If not, I'm still going to watch if that's okay. This should be an interesting race," she said, plus...it would get her mind off her worry.

The reddish looking male twitched darker reddish or brown ears, and the tipped tail flicked. Lighter brownish looking eyes glanced to her. She swallowed as she said he should try talking to them. "He might not want to be bothered...but I guess I should try." He nodded to her a moment. He said good bye to her, and turned to look at Milo and River. Still...he hesitated a bit as he watched them. He sighed and scolded himself, taking a couple steps but then stopping again.

The smaller and slender white marked black phase wolf sighed as the she wolf headed off...The golden eyed one saw she could do it herself, then. He shook his head a couple times. He glanced to the others, watching as they moved the prey. They didn't really seem to need his help either...He sighed again, and headed to the camp as well. He found Dante with Destiny, and made a sound of worry. They both seemed...off, sad or something, so he walked over and asked "What's...what's going on?"

The pretty but handsome smaller and slender golden pup nodded. Brown ears twitched as the brown tipped tail flicked. Brown and blue eyes looked to Kiyu as she continued to speak to them. He nodded to her, as she said she didn't think the future sounded fun. "Well...if I can't see Eros ever again, then yeah. I'd have to agree with you then," he said to her. He wasn't thinking about the fact adults had to work...He'd seen them stop to have fun from time to time, so he didn't even think on it. He then tilted his head as he looked at her. She seemed to be possibly thinking on something. She then said words about the wrath of Scythe. He nodded and said "Oh, yeah...she can be scary... sorry if you had to see that." It didn't seem like she had, if her dad had kept her from it. Maybe she'd heard the adult wolf, though.

He nodded to the older she pups again after that. "Yeah...lets talk about something else," he agreed with the both of them. He hummed a small sound, then shook his head. He smiled a canine smile as he looked between them, and said "We could just keep talking. We can't really play in here..." he sighed. Well, maybe they actually could though.

The forest was silent for a moment, with only the sound of a small piterpatter of feet. Soon, you were able to se her. Her amber eyes shining through the bush, she hodn't noticed anyone around her yet. the wind blowing in her direction.

But her nose was close to the ground, ready to pick up the smallest scents. her dark brown pelt shining in the sun.

Where m I now? Agh... this breeze is making me get lost... Riley thought as she sat to scratch her head briefly.
She'd wanted to find some prey on her own, slight guilt gnawed at her for eating her meal this morning and not helping with the hunt. (GAH THIS PUPPY IS TOO CUTE)

Cleo nods, her gaze shifts from Louie the river below. “Tranquility, it’s also like a release of emotions. A strong mind is a strong body.” She says, hopeful that she will be the best warrior this clan has ever seen.
The snow under her warm paws were melting, which was quite uncomfortable. So she shifted to sit in a different spot. ”Where were you headed? Might I join you?” She asked with a friendly smile on her face.

The Beta’s honey brown eyes followed Gauge’s gaze when she looked over to Blaze, briefly scanning the wolf’s different shades in his fur. She heard Gauge say that she was worried, but did not understand as to why she felt the way she did. Not wanting to be rude and speak on the obvious, the wolf looked away to turn her attention back to Gauge and Eros. “Worrying solves nothing, but communicating does.” The wolf offered some sort of advice without going into detail on what exactly was going on in the fighter’s head. It wasn’t any of her business what they did with their personal lives. As long as every wolf did their job , she could care less on what else they had done.

Nova slightly cocked her head to the side as her eyes read the wolf next to her. She seemed to be dazed or spaced into her own thoughts on something. Once again , following the trail of the fighter’s eyes , she noticed she was looking at Eros. It did not take long for the Beta to decode the look that she was witnessing - at least to what she thought it meant. Gauge held the same look in her eyes as any female wolf did when she felt love for a pup or maybe wanted her own. It was like a glistening love and warmth dancing over her expression when her eyes rested upon the pup. ‘I wonder if she - no I am not on that level with her … yet’ she thought to herself. Her eyes never left the two wolves as they interacted with one another.


“Maybe you can watch who wins the race. Might not be much of one though - someone ate his weight in food” Nova teased the pup , playfully nodding her head in the direction of his round belly. There was no way that the pup could beat her in a race if he was full to the rim with food and not giving himself much time. She hoped that Gauge’s interruption allowed Eros time for his food to go down a bit. She was sure she’d get an earful if he huck up his breakfast because they decided to play. “Ready Eros?” she asked him, ready to assume the position to take off and win the race.

The large gray wolf stood on all fours to shake his fur free moistness. He hated the feeling of a wet belly as much as any wolf would. It was an uncomfortable feeling to have the warmth of his body slowly defeated by the cold white blanket beneath them. He moved further away from the tranquil river, the sound allowing a soothing environment for the both of them. Too bad they could not make dens over here, to Louie , this was prime real estate. To have the pack a little further away, water at will, a bath at will, space, and most importantly -peace-.

His ears swiveled in her direction, as she asked him a question about where he was going. He was still waiting for Dante to call him to clean up the remains. Louie hoped that it would not be the she wolf’s first rodeo in clean up duty. “I am waiting for Dante to tell me what to do with Kikui.” he paused. The ending of his words sounded so harsh on the outside, ‘ what to do with Kikui’ like the elder wasn’t one of them. Louie cleared his throat hoping that she did not take it offensively. “Unfortunately, Kikui has passed away from old age - there is a vigil being held for him. Come with me.” he offered her. Dark brown eyes moved from the she wolf to the pathway that he had come from. His paw prints still fresh into the snow’s brief memory. Louie began to pad away from Cleo and head towards the rest of the pack.

The sound of snow crunching ringing in his ears as they traveled. When he made it towards the common grounds area, he looked to his right to see wolves gathering over the elder’s den. He was not one for vigils or death events. Louie preferred to bury the lost ones and move on. Something he’d taught himself , as a way to cope with unfortunate life events upon the demise of Mira and his pups. He kept moving his ears , keeping an ear out for Cleo whilst they walked together. “If you want, the vigil is over there.” his snoot motioned towards the gaggle of wolves piling up as they came to say their goodbyes. He wanted no parts of the mourning fiesta. “I’m going to check in with Dante. I’ve had my fill of death for a lifetime.” he mentioned. He was about to head straight to Dante , until he saw another group of wolves near him and Destiny. Maybe he should hold off a moment, he figured that Dante would howl for him when he was ready. There was probably a lot to tend to between the hunt and the death. “On second thought” the sound of his voice carried with the wind just as fast as his thoughts traveling. “I’ll take a hike until they’re all situated - someone needs to watch the border,” he shared. With everyone being here on the common grounds, that left them defenseless of their rivals. Louie quickly started to walk again, towards the border to patrol while the rest did what needed to be done.

Athena gave the healer her space in order to take care of Cypher. Even though she was confident in their healer, the lack of empathy from Scythe was astonishingly disappointing to Athena. She thought that someone in medicine would not be so harsh with words when dealing with their patients. Assumingly, she figured that Cypher would be in shock and panic at the idea of being alright after an injury. The healer’s words felt quick with no empathy. Her focus shifted back on Cypher as the pair went back and forth in a brief conversation.

The healer had practically shoved Athena out of the den and told her to take something to the elder’s den since she could not do two things at once. “I’m not helping someone with an attitude like that.” she retorted , her voice now serious with a full punch of bluntness. The hunter’s tail flickered with irritation as she rose from the ground beneath them. None the less - Cypher would be fine once he healed properly. At least if he gives himself the chance to. Athena turned away from the duo and proceeded to pad away from the healer’s den. Instead, she decided to wait until the commotion was over from Kikui’s vigil.

Of course the pack was going to hold a vigil for the elder wolf, who she knew so little about. In her time here, she had only encountered the elder a pawful of times. He would tell stories to the pups to keep them motivated for their future to come. Nothing too striking there as that was something most elders did in their free time. She took a glance over to where Kikui’s final resting place was, seeing the abundance of wolves saying their goodbyes to him as they went along. Athena lowered her ears , while she and Kikui weren’t close , it was unfortunate that they’d lost a pack member.

Without haste, the wolf walked back to her own private den. It was placed just behind a tree that led to a pathway to the woods. A jet black figure made its way through the den area, thinking to herself about the recent events. Maybe that’s what set her off about Scythe - there was a sudden avalanche of issues arriving in the pack. She gave it a very brief thought before chalking it up to the fact that there is a lot going on at the moment. Between the elder’s death, Cypher’s injury , her missing majority of the hunt, the border issue from earlier. Athena could only imagine what was going through Destiny’s mind while all of this was happening.

He watched the situation around the elder's den, there were too many wolves there so he didn't even bother to get there and he was not that close to Kikui. He lived in the same pack with him and talked with him sometimes, but mostly they did their own things, so his dead was not as heartbreaking to him as it could be if they were a little bit closer. He looked at the elk and then the female hunters carrying the lead hunter to the healer.

He watched the camp there for a moment, unsure if he could inform Dante or Destiny that they had the prey there, but in this situation, they probably did see the buck in their own eyes too. He didn't know if the pack wanted to do the vigil of the Kikui first or eat first, he didn't really know, but he didn't have hungry so he left the elk there near the entrance and walked to the hunter's den.

She sighed not really even knowing what to think about anything at the moment, she just wanted to lie down and never woke up. She looked at Athena but didn't say a word 'Fine, then I don't help you either whenever you need it' she thought to herself before she looked at Cypher "No it's not deadly, but very painful...the wound could heal faster if you don't move too much for a day...and don't worry about Dante...he could be more upset if you die to follow his orders than being just injured..." she said to him with another sight. She took some herbs to the wound "anyway I don't think we have much to do today eventually, speaking of that we're going to have Kikui's vigil and you did get a prey to feed the pack so...you could take the evening easier" she said to him as she took some saliva to his wounds to stop the bleeding and protect the wound for any infections. He took some popyyseed "ate those...they will help with the pain, and make you more relaxed...stressing too much is never too good" she said.

She looked a Kiyu "No it doesn't but I guess we do need to someday think about our futures too" she said silently. She nodded to Kairo "Not only for old age, dead don't look the age, it can happen to anyone, anytime, but the healthier you are the longer you can avoid it, as long something bad doesn't happen" she said flicking her tail a little bit "kind of scary when you think about it...but okay, what about stop this sad subject and let's talk something else?" she said to them, even if it was her who talked the most depressing way.

She looked at the pups and listened to Yomi "Yeah agree, we could speak something else this depressing, but we could not be too happy either as one of us just died and I don't want to be seen the wrong way if I go there laughing when others are mourning for the elder" she said. She was silent for a moment "so what could we do now then? We're still on arrest?" she said to them with sight.

He got to the somewhat empty den, he saw only Chi sleeping at her nest there. He laid down on his nest and took a good position, before closing his eyes. He still heard the conversation between his younger brother and Kane outside of the den. He heard depression in Labrador's voice, he did feel a little uncomfortable and lonely when he watched the pack eating the buck. All of them had someone to talk to, he had nobody, and maybe Labrador felt the same way.

He shook his head "It could not be normal if there was happening something different...yes the day felt so...empty..." he said to him with a flick of his white tail "You go to sleep, you woke up, you go to hunting, you catch the prey, you bring it back and eat it, then you took snaps or just sit around doing nothing then you go hunting again, the same circle then you go to sleep so you can wake up at morning to hunt more..." he repeated with a sight "sometimes I wonder that I am wasting my life for nothing..." he kept saying.

He looked over to the Maison and then the pup, flicking his ears rather confused yet surprised about the pup's words "You want to leave, why?" he asked the pup suddenly "What do you seek in Starlight pack what we don't have here?" he questioned the female pup.

She gave the male a smile watching as he walked to where Milo and River were talking, but she was not sure he could have the response he could want as in her eyes, it seemed that Milo and River liked each other already. She flicked her tail as she left the prey and took the longest path back to camp, she didn't really have anything in plans for now, so why not just took her time to walk and enjoy the forest?

She took a small nap after her duo huntings alongside her sister Freya. She perked her ears a little bit as she heard the food call, but for now, she was so tired to get out just yet. She decided to eat a little bit later, maybe they could be some leftovers left for whatever prey the other hunters got.

Duty and the returning to it was the only thing Dante needed now it was his way of getting over death because if the brute remained busy he didn’t have time to sulk and despair over death of a treasured friend. Having spent too much of his life already dragging by allowing depression to hold him down remaining busy was all he had to hold back the ever lurking darkness that lingered in the deepest corners of the brutes thoughts.

Dante nodded silently agreeing with Destiny as she counseled him and his feelings about the situation. Just like before he knew there was nothing he could do to make the wolf return or stay. The brute returned her smile having forgotten to return her kind nuzzle earlier, but Destiny knew touch wasn’t the way he’d reciprocate because he would return the kindness through his dutiful work ethic, “You are right…I shouldn’t give my self that guilt…” he added softly realizing the weight of guilt wasn’t his responsibility to take. He owed it to him self to treasure those memories in stead of regretting the lost time. That was good counsel from Destiny he knew it and appreciated it.

Destiny claimed she would be okay but he knew that would be on the surface and in the face of her fellow pack mates so he half expected her response but he felt he should let her know. Dante was proud of her ability to maintain poise in this situation because even he wanted to feel weak and allow the despair to put him into a depressed sleep but his past experience and his Alpha inspired him to not allow that. “….and I you Destiny..” he said softly in response to her claim of appreciation of him. “I won’t be needing anything else except your next order.” In truth he needed anything right now to distract him from these events.

He was silent listening to his Alpha speak freely though she seemed to be shaming her self for ordering the healer to tell everyone of the elders passing it made perfect sense to him. But then he thought for a moment that the issue Destiny had was because it is her duty to gather the pack not order some one else to do it. Another small quality he respected. “I am sure it will be just fine this once considering the circumstances..” he added quickly when she trailed off, though after he spoke he did feel a bit of guilt in being her main distraction with his own personal woes that could have waited kept her from doing her duties. If any one was at fault Dante felt it was him.

Dante was facing the exit of then den looking outside, the angle allowed him to only see the exit to the camp yard and none of the other interior activities, he felt The gentle gust of air that signified that Destiny was sitting next to him he looked to her slightly comfortable with Destiny being in his personal space then cleared his throat since it was time to resume a semi-professional conversation for the sake of the pack, “Outstanding, Louie & Manfred have volunteered to help handle the remains when it is necessary.” He added in a feint formal response then added, “I was wanting one other to help…” it was at this exact moment he realized that he hadn’t heard anything from the hunters that had been absent for over an hour not a howl or anything. A miserable feeling swelled in his stomach that urged him to believe something horrible happened. “Besides that other urgent matters have suddenly come to mind I have not heard from Cypher and his squad of hunters who left earlier on your orders. I fear for the worse the situation deserves investigation.” he added lastly not meaning for his words to have a darker tone to them.

Liberty

The gods above be good for once again the brute had lost sense of his position and hunted after a misbehaving Shy-Fawn instead of allowing Blaze who was the wolf ordered to handle the situation. Old habits died hard he figured but he had to keep up an appearance and punishing wolves to stave off his frustration like therapy would eventually chip at it. What good would all this work be if minor slip-ups ruined it all for him in the end?

The brutes pace had slowed down since he began thinking, always thinking, never free from it. His thoughts drifted back to the conversation he had with Nova and now that his mind was right, or as calm as it could be, he found himself agreeing. The beta unintentionally gave him a brilliant way to execute his next few steps delicately and maybe even unnoticed if the odds of success were high in his favor. Yes, keep the pack out of the loop for some time until he and Destiny meet up again to further discuss the guidelines that they would lay down for peace. No sense in telling the pack peace had been made when such a feeble and not well-executed proposition is all that was achieved. Not to mention the argument at the border caused by his adopted son didn't help with any of the pack relations that Liberty wanted to start work on. All eyes were on the Alpha at all times he couldn't let his eagerness for success ruin an opportunity to recover should an unavoidable flaw appear forcing a reapproach. Patience and further discussion are what his beta inadvertently showed him not too long ago at the border. His cheeks ran a bit hot as he filled with a bit of embarrassment for probably looking a bit of a fool in front of her by stating what he did and then giving his beta an Ultimatum. Whatever trust or understanding had been crafted between them more than likely would need some mending if it could ever be fixed and if it couldn't it would be a pity to have Nova as an enemy because he’d seen the things he wanted in a Beta and a fair amount more that maybe hadn't been recognized by Nova her self.

Having decided it would be best to heed the advice he’d shut down earlier he trotted back to the kill the pack was mostly gathered at, since the change of plan he wouldn't be announcing anything today or for some time. He’d probably demand that patrols occurred more often and in better shifts to allow rest and recuperation for the warriors otherwise things will continue as they have until more than one meeting came to pass.

Upon arrival to the kill he was pleased to see the pack operating at its normal capacity his wolves were complacent and distracted with their own personal activities with others, even his beta had her self occupied baby sitting Eros and it seems as if they were about to race. Liberty smiled a bit it was very clear that his son had enjoyed a very large serving by the way his tummy bulged with fullness giving Eros this balloon look while watching him socialize from a different angle and even though this amused him he didn’t dare make a noise because he was a bit certain his reappearance would disturb the natural mood the pack had at the moment which appeared to be content at the least. He watched gauge closely as the she-wolf interacted with the beta and Eros, he could see that something had fluffed the fur of the lower ranking member but he only had a handful of guesses he thought could accurately identify the issue Gauge was having. Perhaps Gauge is threatened by Nova? Which if she was is good Liberty wanted that from his leaders.

Liberty had no doubts that even with the pup as full as he was Eros would still accept the race, he thought with an amused expression on his face as he watched Nova ask Eros if he was ready. Apparently Gauge would be the referee for this little test of speed.

He probably looked a fool sitting off to the side with silent smile on his face watching Eros interact innocently with the beta he couldn’t help it though Eros deserved more moments like these after everything he’d been through. Eros deserved every smile, every laugh, every teasing jape or joke, every hug, every comfort, and every lesson any member of this pack would have to offer knowing Eros would suck it all up like a sponge and retain it forever.

His head turned to the other active members currently available in this gaggle around the kill. He noticed River & Milo conversing peacefully off to the side.?(sorry if am wrong) Not to long ago the hunters were here but they seemed to have scampered off to do as they wish, which was fine since their assigned task was completed for the day they were allowed to enjoy their free time. The only group of wolves that never seemed to rest was fighters of this pack who would work in shifts to maintain a decent coverage of the border between them and their neighbors. Since his thoughts ended on fighters so did his scanning glance which fell to Blaze who had just plucked a morsel from the kill looking sullen. Liberty of course knew the weight of his words had a deep affect on the target they were meant to scathe but with his emotions hot all he accomplished was belittling one of his closest allies. Blaze deserved an apology and perhaps some mercy for how wrong doings that didn’t seem to be so much his fault know as some events just can’t be managed and happen randomly. So much to do and so much to say with so little time left in the day. Soon it would be night time and his wolves would be resting off the events of today and the pack would be silent and Liberty would be alone again.

The brute would scoop up his pup after Eros was done having a bit of fun without loosing his dinner. During the race he would dismiss any of those who hung around and allow them their free time for the evening before the sun fell.

Eros sat back on his haunches in between the adults after hearing Gauge’s proposal for joining the race in reaction his fat tummy suddenly filled with butterflies because he was not sure if he could face two full grown adults! Suddenly the prospect was overwhelming as if he even had a chance of beating the first adult who challenged him to a race. “Hey! I can’t race both of you!” He protested playfully, “What if you both team up against me! So you both can win!” He exclaimed as if his insight on this subject was spot on. But he sighed heavily when he noticed some conversation was being had that he didn’t quite understand it had gone over his head. Nova said something smart using her big ol’brain but the point didn’t land the way it would have if stated to an adult. What was there to worry about? Talking about it probably worked. UGH! This is to complicated on a full tummy. Eros just wanted to race and prove his superior performance in the sport of racing then be done for a nap. Because his eyes were starting to feel heavy the only thing keeping him awake was the race. It was time for a short wink if Liberty allowed it was but unlikely . Eros had a later bed time now which oddly enough he hated. Sleeping was a pleasure when he wanted to do it and right now was not the time it was time for a race.

But he was soon smiling again looking up at Nova since she teased him for eating a lot. “I will win! Eating big meals makes you strong!” He proclaimed asserting that he would not fail but that he would win! His confidence in his ability could be commendable but in truth he was unaware of his own inability to be able to perform at this time.

His smile went ear to ear then he rushed to Nova’s side nearly bowling over onto her when she asked if the pup was ready to race and though his actions made it clear he was he took a moment to recover then stand next to her ready for sure this time. “Yes LEEETS GOOOOOO!!! I am faster than fast! Quicker than quick! I—Am—Lightening!” He proclaimed getting down in a half attempt to look like Nova who seemed ready too.

Cypher listened to Scythe before he spoke up. "A day? I haven't even finished the hunt yet! We still need to bring in a few hares for the pack, especially the pups, and with Kikui's passing we need to get a white pelt hare! I can't wait a day!" he said, slightly worried and panicked. What would Dante think of him taking it easy while he should be fulfilling his duties as Lead Hunter? He winced a bit, feeling the pain Scythe mentioned all over again. He was mulling over his thoughts when he felt the herbs against his wound, hissing under his breath at the stinging sensation. " Nothing to do? I just rambled off everything that I need to do! A stag won't be enough for us all..." He trailed off, lowering his head before mumbling. " I'm sorry Scythe, I'm quite stressed right now. Thank you for your help." He didn't move as she licked his wound, watching the wolves outside the den. He looked down at the herb and ate it, silent after his outbursts. He laid down favoring his injured paw and waited for Scythe to finish taking care of his wound.

They sighed as they looked down at the pup. They tilted their head as they regarded her a moment, looking to the others then back to her. They rolled their eyes as they saw Shy Fawn get caught...They shook their head, and looked at Daisy. "Don't go near that wolf...the one Liberty is dealing with. He came back, but I don't really trust him right now. Now...why would you go to our rival pack?" he asked her. "You don't have any family or friends there...and aren't some of us your friends?" they asked.

They looked to Hyuuga and the pup again. They waited alongside him, for her to give some sort of answer.

Deep foresty green eyes with gold ringing the pupils looked at them both. The white foot black phase she wolf looked into the other's honey colored eyes. She then shook her head a couple times. She resisted the urge to look towards Blaze again. She let out a small sighing breath, and shook her head again. She twitched as she heard the other speak. She nodded to her, saying "I guess worrying doesn't help...Worrying is natural though," she said, more thinking of mothers worrying over pups. She then let her eyes wander a moment. She nearly jumped as she saw the alpha sitting there...She didn't bring up the fact he was there, though. Might ruin the moment, might distract Eros from his race with Nova.

She noticed how the beta followed her line of sight to Eros. She'd turned her attention back to the pup, so now Nova was looking there too. She tilted her head as she noticed the other noticing where Gauge looked. Shaking her head again, she smiled a canine smile. She also noticed the other had her head tilted. She yipped a little laughing like sound. She then saw the other seemed to want to ask something. Maybe she didn't have a question, maybe a statement instead. Gauge didn't know, though, since the other didn't voice it. Whatever she may have wanted to say or ask, she didn't do so. Gauge sighed at this fact. However, she didn't question her on it, didn't make the beta speak, as she didn't want to push her.

She nodded to the beta, saying "Yes...ill be like the referee, then." She didn't know if wolves should use the same words humans did...Shaking her head, she pushed that thought aside. It was the best word she could come up with, for it. She watched the pup with his full belly. She hoped he'd digested his food at least even a little bit. It wouldn't be good if he ended up sick or in pain...Not only would he possibly blame them, though she wasn't sure, but Liberty would likely get mad at them.

She shook her head with another laugh like sound as Eros spoke. "No, no Eros, I'm not racing with you; I'm watching to see which of you wins," she said. That meant she might need to run alongside them, though. She wasn't going to run right beside them, if so. She smiled a canine smile as she nosed and nudged at him a bit. She then watched him bound to Nova. As she saw they were ready, she said "On your marks, get set...go!" She then waited for the adult and pup to start running their race.

The reddish looking male twitched darker reddish or brown ears. The darker or brown tipped tail flicked from time to time. Lighter brownish looking eyes looked to Milo and River. He sighed, taking a couple deep breaths then stepping forward again. Once he was feet away, he stopped. He didn't want to upset or overwhelm Milo, though Akiro was just one wolf. Therefore, he called out from where he was. In a soft (gentle) voice, he called "Hello," to the other two wolves.

The smaller and slender white marked black phase wolf sighed as the she wolf headed off...The golden eyed one saw she could do it herself, then. He shook his head a couple times. He glanced to the others, watching as they moved the prey. They didn't really seem to need his help either...He sighed again, and headed to the camp as well. He found Dante with Destiny, and made a sound of worry. They both seemed...off, sad or something, so he walked over and asked "What's...what's going on?"

The pretty but handsome smaller and slender golden pup nodded. Brown ears twitched as the brown tipped tail flicked. Brown and blue eyes looked to Kiyu as she continued to speak to them. He nodded to her, as she said she didn't think the future sounded fun. "Well...if I can't see Eros ever again, then yeah. I'd have to agree with you then," he said to her. He wasn't thinking about the fact adults had to work...He'd seen them stop to have fun from time to time, so he didn't even think on it. He then tilted his head as he looked at her. She seemed to be possibly thinking on something. She then said words about the wrath of Scythe. He nodded and said "Oh, yeah...she can be scary... sorry if you had to see that." It didn't seem like she had, if her dad had kept her from it. Maybe she'd heard the adult wolf, though.

He nodded to the older she pups again after that. "Yeah...lets talk about something else," he agreed with the both of them. He hummed a small sound, then shook his head. He smiled a canine smile as he looked between them, and said "We could just keep talking. We can't really play in here..." he sighed. Well, maybe they actually could though.

Kane listened to his fellow hunter, slowly nodding in agreement to what he spoke. His tail lightly patted on the ground,
“Well I will let you know that hunting is your job. I think you already knew that though” He told him with a small chuckle. He gave a moment a silence before giving him a nudge on shoulder.
“You….need to find someone, someone that you can love and live your life with. Would that make you feel like life is wasted for nothing? There many more things to life than just living to do your job.” He gently spoke.

Kane felt a small warm on his cheeks as he said that. Definitely relatable for Kane. It’s a very similar mentality that he himself holds, Just less the depression and more the motivation to find meaning. He looked up to the hunter again,
“I think that’ll be the difference in your life that you need” he said with a growing smile, his tailed patting faster on the soft grass.
