to answer your question, i started my hoard like the second i rejoined in 2014, but it was super lowkey until 2017 when i was like insanely active and literally dedicated my entire chicken smoothie existence to getting 100,000 rats. then when i hit that goal in 2021, i've just been trading all my leftover trade fodder to continue the tradition because ratties bring me so much joy. im not super active anymore :') only when i have an excessive amount of freetime, but i totally brag about my rat mischief irl too LOL

i'm proud of you for this !!! 264k is insane<33 and it's for such a noble cause<3 my friend volunteered at a shelter on our college campus last year for a few months and it was heartbreaking the stories she would tell about euthanasia.

I started my deer hoard more recently. I want to say it was around 2 weeks ago. At the time I'm writing this, I have 726. I was also going to do a cat hoard but I decided to focus on my deer hoard instead

Sometimes i feel like removing the reason i hoard, since some think i am guilt tripping people to donate cats. Most cats i get, are 1:1 trades with other hoarders. I have a lot of commons. I rarely get free cats.
But i also dont want to remove it, since i want to spread awereness to "fix" the pets.
I think i do this hoard for about 10 years now...
Recently got back from a hiatus.

Congratulations on the huge milestone!! <3 That's so awesome. I don't think you need to remove the reason you're hoarding cats, as most people who are going to donate pets to someone for free will do so regardless of whether you ask them to or not. Those who will, will. Those who wouldn't normally usually won't anyway despite your message. But it's up to you and what you're comfortable with =^)

i wish there was a tracker on this site for how many hours i've spent the past few years on this site, because all i've been doing when i'm here is sending and accepting trades.

i'm sure it's the same for a lot of other hoarders, especially those who specialize in contributing their entire trading fodder just to get hoard pets, but it's kind of like a little ounce of sunshine in my life, and it still makes me feel productive at the end of the day bc i know how freaking excited 2013 me would be to see how many rats i've gotten over the years.

thank you ! lol it's so exciting when i get a whole week off of work/school and can just sit here all day sending and receiving trades for my hoard LOL, i've done sooo many mass bulk trades, its genuinely so exhilarating.

Hi guys! Need some suggestions for my mini hoards;

I collect any pets that resemble alligators - and any pets with a cyan/orange color palette

I'm wondering if there's any other pets that would fit these groups that arent already in there! I'm still pretty new and haven't looked at pets beyond what I've gotten- pretty excited about this months chameleons though, i hope they stay orange and blue
