cats in attendance; charredsoul, obeliskshriek, thoth, trapjaw
charredsoul tom - 35 moons (medicine cat) - tags; finchheart (beamclan)
β shorthaired bicolor sepia point oriental w/ amber eyes & fangs. β£
the dark-colored tom took the time that he waited for a response from finchheart to observe the cat. his body-type and the way he held himself made charredsoul assume that he was a younger cat, perhaps a few moons younger than he himself was, and his friendly nature hadn't yet been trampled by the weight of a medicine cat's job. part of him hoped that the young tom would maintain that youthful exuberance, as he had long lost his own. he nodded his head in agreement at the other tom's words as though in agreement before he chose his own words to respond with. "our travels weren't too bad as well, compared to some other clans. we also reside within mountains, but instead of being near the bottoms, yangclan lives high up within the ragged peaks." it was basic information, nothing giving too much away, but still enough to not appear to be holding back. "no, i can't say that I have. i've been with yangclan for only a pawful of moons so far, so our other medicine cats typically attended the gathering as i was still getting used to things within the clan. and yourself? is this your first time attending?"
obeliskshriek tom - 84 moons (fighter) - tags; briston (whiskered away)
β longhaired black smoke maine coon w/ scarring & heterochromia. β£
the large, dark-furred tom dipped his head graciously as the orange tabby appeared enthusiastic about his approach, taking a seat a respectable distance away, wrapping his fluffy tail around his paws as he made himself comfortable. "its good to meet you as well, briston." he spoke politely, his deep voice practically rumbling with its usual low timbre. he listened intently as the other tom told him about his life, and he found his ears perking up in curiosity at the sound of all of those travels that this briston goes on. "that sounds like a very fascinating life you've lived! was that before you joined your clan, or are you still able to travel now?" his heterochromic eyes seemed to sparkle at the question, generally wondering all of what this other cat could have seen in his life. "yangclan has over a hundred cats, so i suppose it could be considered a large clan in the minds of some. i suppose large groups just don't really bother me; never really have." he shrugged a bit nonchalantly.
thoth tom - 17 moons (fighter) - tags; echopaw (caveclan)
β black ticked caracat mix with low white, green eyes, & tufted ears. β£
the tom watched carefully as though he could see the wheels turning in the young molly's head as she considered his words, finding his chest puffing with slight pride as she seemed to really consider his words before responding. he himself listened intently as she spoke to him about the way that her clan did things compared to his clan, always finding it interesting to learn more about the ways of other cats. "that makes sense, wanting to ensure everyone has a decent understanding of basic skills. but yes i would say its very similar to how you send out some cats that blend in better during certain seasons. that's actually a really good idea; i'd like to bring that u p to my clan's leader as an idea, because leaf-bare hunting patrols can be very bare." he had a very thoughtful look on his face as he spoke; he had no plans on really telling obeliskshriek or stratusstar, but thought it could be very beneficial in the future for his own plans. he took notice to the way the young molly's body language changed as she relaxed in front of him, and he offered a small smile. "tell me, what was your favorite skill to learn about, or the one you think is your highest strength?"
trapjaw tom - 70 moons (fighter) - tags; scorpionthroat (meadowclan)
β ginger mackerel shorthair with yellow snake-like eyes. β£
the more petite tom-cat couldn't help but notice how intently the molly before him was watching someone in the crowd; of course he was curious as to who she was watching, but he didn't feel comfortable prying. he assumed it was either some member of her family, or it could be someone she saw acting suspiciously in some type of way. finally, the molly turned her gaze towards him, and he offered a small smile, despite the slightly-gruff tone of voice she gave him, sitting down as she had stated he was allowed to. as she began to speak however, he felt his body relaxing more, a surprising (to those who would know him) kindness reaching his eyes. "that's alright; it does sound quite stressful. my mate and i haven't really had any kits of our own, although i do have some step-kits from before our time together. i'm not necessarily the closest to them though, as they were raised primarily without me as a rolemodel. i can't imagine how it would feel watching this tiny kit that you, as a mother especially, carried and gave birth to, grow into a little adult." he hoped his words made sense, as trapjaw wasn't necessarily known as the most eloquent cat with his words; he hoped that he didn't say anything offensive. "i'm trapjaw, by the way, of yangclan."
