Harestar X - male - 55 moons - leader - tagged: Hazelstar(Beamclan)open Harestar listened politely and nodded. There seemed like there was new clans popping up almost constantly, so there was usually a good mix of older, larger clans with new, smaller clans. This moon's gathering was no exception. "You'll grow faster than you'll realize." Harestar assured him. He and his sister had been born into Caveclan when the clan's numbers were still small and since then, they'd grown swiftly. Now, it was hard for him to imagine Caveclan as small as it had been all those moons ago. They'd become a safe haven for those in need and Harestar was proud of how far they'd come. Harestar followed Hazelstar's gaze to the cat who must be a medicine cat and mewed, "It'd be hard for any cat not to find a companion to talk to here. There's always so many cats here."
Sunstripe X - male - 41 moons - deputy - tagged: Mothbillow(Lilyclan) Their clan wasn't familiar to him, Sunstripe realized after a moment of thought, carefully committing the name of Lilyclan to memory. It was hard to keep up with all of the different clans sometimes, but he tried his best. "Nice to meet you Mothbillow," The yellow tabby replied, keeping his voice light and friendly to try to calm his companion somewhat. "Ah, that makes sense. It can definitely be nerve-racking but your clanmates will keep an eye on your mate."' Sunstripe said reassuringly. "Congratulations, though! My mate recently had kits as well," Sunstripe said, unable to disguise the pride in his voice. "3 kits as perfect and as beautiful as their mother Thymepool. We named them Morningkit, Cherrykit, and Honeykit." The deputy smiled, thinking of his family with warmth. "You must be thrilled as well as nervous then? Will this be your first litter?"
Cloudpool X - male - 53 moons - medicine cat - tagged: Blackbird(Whiskered Away) His companion was a little nervous perhaps, Cloudpool observed, hoping that he'd be able to help the younger male relax. Cloudpool nodded encouragingly, saying, "Nice to meet you Blackbird. Yes, I'm Caveclan's medicine cat. I have an apprentice as well, Mosspaw, but she chose to remain at camp this gathering. She wanted to work on her herb recognition skills." Mosspaw's training was coming along well and he'd left her working on memorizing blackberry leaves, burnet, and chervil. "I suppose a sylph must be the equivalent of a medicine cat then? Do you like being a medicine cat?" Cloudpool prompted, remembering how difficult the job had seemed back then. It had gotten easier with time but Cloudpool could remember very well how much he had struggled, and helping Mosspaw was a reminder it hadn't always been easy. He'd had Shadedleaf to help him back then though, when he had needed her.
Willowtail X - female - 32 moons - warrior - tagged: Poppypounce, open Poppypounce X - female - 28 moons - warrior - tagged: Willowtail, open The mollies sat next to each other, eagerly scanning the crowd with bright eyes. The freezing leaf-bare chills were finally beginning to give way to the warmth and energy of spring and it was contagious. “I hope we find someone interesting,” Willowtail murmured, flicking her tail tip eagerly. Poppypounce was somewhat more relaxed, though she couldn’t seem to stay still, pacing eagerly around her best friend. “I’m sure we will, it’s been so long since we’ve been to a gathering together.” The mollies exchanged an amused look. “Especially without our brothers,” Willowtail joked, amused. Tigerjaws and Stormfeather had been left back at camp, although Stormfeather didn’t seem to mind. The tom had only had eyes for Heatherbreeze lately.
Echopaw X - female - 12 moons - warrior apprentice- tagged: Thoth(Yangclan) Echopaw flicked an ear as she thought about his words and nodded slowly. "I guess that makes sense but our cats train a little differently maybe. Our mentors try to to focus on helping apprentices strengthen skills that they might be weaker at compared to other skills. Although it sounds more similar to how we sometimes send out our paler furred warriors like Lilystem or Shimmerpelt hunting more often during leaf-bare because they blend in with the snow easier than other cats?" Echopaw asked him thoughtfully. Their leaf-bare system wasn't used throughout all year but Echopaw had to admit, it was easier to use since their patrols tended to be somewhat more successful during leaf-bare. Being able to blend into one's surroundings made it harder for prey to detect the hunting patrols. Accepting the warrior's apology with a nod, Echopaw relaxed. "Oh, alright then. Just so you know though, my skills aren't lacking."
Softpaw X - female - 10 moons - warrior - tagged: Poppypaw(Meadowclan) The seal mink apprentice hovered in an area between Cloudpool and the warriors, Poppypounce and Willowtail, glancing around the gathering with mixed curiosity and nerves. Softpaw wasn’t surprised that Echopaw was already gone but she did wish that any other apprentice would have come instead of Echopaw. She could have used their support among such a big crowd. Tail whisking nervously, Softpaw glanced around, hoping to find someone who looked kind enough to approach, or even better, hoping another apprentice would approach her.
Fortunately, she'd spotted a tom nearby who looked similar in age to herself. Softpaw's purple eyes brightened and she started to approach the other tom before hesitating, uncertain. She didn't know anything about the other cat, and what it he was awful? Owlheart and Quailpaw would want her to talk to someone though. With a deep breath, Softpaw, approached the tom, noting as she approached that although he was an apprentice, this cat was smaller than her. Perhaps a newly made apprentice? Either way, this cat was certainly much more confident than Softpaw felt. "Hello!' She mewed, "I'm Softpaw of Caveclan. Nice to meet you!" Softpaw's words came quick, a tremor of nerves making her voice shake. She took a moment to try to steady herself before trying again, "What's your name?"
