Her mind raced with thoughts of the day. So much had happened in such a short amount of time, what was a basic check of the border was now something completely different. She hoped, prayed that she was choosing the best decision for her pack. Her anxiety couldn't take it and she partly feared what the rest of her pack would say. Dante didn't agree, she knew that loud and clear however part of her hoped he could see the better side of it. Sure, it could end badly and it was a risk. Destiny knew that, anything at this point was a risk. But she wanted things to change - this stupid rivalry needs to end before the prey leaves and they turn on their own packs. A war wasn't needed and if possible Destiny would do anything to avoid it.
She sighed and began to blink her eyes open - adjusting to the light, moments before Destiny shot up from her position of laying down. She hadn't expected to fall asleep and scolded herself for it. Sure, she felt relaxed and more rested however she didn't have the time to slack off these days. The pack needed constant attention and maintenance and without being there to watch Destiny felt useless. Had she really been planning and counseling herself while she was asleep? That was wild to her. But she hoped it had helped her work through some of her concern.
She rose to her paws slowly, standing and shaking off her fur to rid if of the dust and debris from her slumber. She didn't even know how long she had been asleep. The sun seemed to be a little more west sided so she knew the day would soon draw to an end.
Forcing herself to move, Destiny walked outside of her den and stood by the opening, her eyes scanning the pack. Something seemed off but she couldn't put her paw on it to place it. She didn't see anything out of the normal from where she was surveying the middle of camp.
Her nose raised towards the air as she took a deep inhale, something also smelled - different, a smell she had tried her best to block out over the years. The smell of death. Fear struck Destiny as she came to the realization one of her pack members had passed. With a soft sigh Destiny padded into the center of camp, her eyes searching for what had happened.

Blaze watched the interaction with Liberty and ShyFawn carefully, making sure not to make a move out of line. His eyes remained on ShyFawn and he studied the newly restored omega carefully. He wondered why this wolf acted like such a prey animal and then could go to act like he ruled the world. It didn't sit right with Blaze one bit and he vowed to figure out what was going on with the wolf.
As ShyFawn walked away, Blaze could feel Liberty turn to face him, with a tail flick Blaze turned to face his Alpha. He knew he didn't have the best look today - however he had been ordered to go to the hunt site and eat with the pack. And against his better judgement he had almost given in and eaten. His moment of weakness and distraction had caused ShyFawn to slip away and now it was going to reflect poorly on him. Blaze vowed, even if he needed to starve - he wouldn't let any distractions get in his way form this moment forward. He had let himself be distracted moments ago speaking to Gauge. Blaze had let his guard down and it backfired. But never again.
He lifted his head to look at Liberty, he wasn't wanting to come across as challenging however he knew a conversation was brewing and he was prepared.

Cypher-Male-Lead Hunter-3yrs-Starlight-Tags: Kuroyuki, Mentions: Hakuren,Kuroyuki,Mikage,Athena

Cypher looked around, noticing Athena had come as well. Before he really could speak, a sharp pain made him gasp slightly, even as he was suppressing the emotions and aches. He felt light headed, as if he were to faint, before he grabbed the stags leg to drag it. But it wasn't exactly what happened. While he had grabbed on, he also stabilized himself, taking deep breaths through his nose and out the mouth, as his mother had thought him as a pup. But his vision was darkening, closing in on all sides, and he felt himself falling, before everything went dark.

( Hopefully y'all aren't furious with me for poofing, life's been crazy.)

They sighed as they looked down at the pup. They tilted their head as they regarded her a moment, looking to the others then back to her. They rolled their eyes as they saw Shy Fawn get caught...They shook their head, and looked at Daisy. "Don't go near that wolf...the one Liberty is dealing with. He came back, but I don't really trust him right now. Now...why would you go to our rival pack?" he asked her. "You don't have any family or friends there...and aren't some of us your friends?" they asked.

They glanced over to Castor and Labrador a moment. They noticed a she wolf was no longer there, but only shook their head at this. They then looked to Hyuuga and the pup again. They waited alongside him, for her to give some sort of answer.

Deep foresty green eyes with gold ringing the pupils looked around. The white foot black phase she wolf ate some more meat. However, she couldn't seem to focus on that now. She sighed and looked to Nova and Eros a moment, then shook her head. She looked over to where Blaze, Liberty, and Shy Fawn were. She knew he was going to be in a lot more trouble now. She hoped Blaze wasn't beating himself up over this...She also hoped Liberty wouldn't be harsh with him. She wondered if Blaze would blame her, if he thought she was a distraction...Would he ignore her now? If she asked to have a walk or sit down with him, either one to talk, would he refuse? She shook her head again.

The reddish looking male twitched darker reddish or brown ears, and the tipped tail flicked. Lighter brownish looking eyes looked to her. He didn't mention he'd meant that for himself. He thought the two males were quite nice to look at. Shaking his head, he nodded at her again. "Yeah...we are like one big family," he agreed, then ripped off some meat. He began to eat, and glanced to her. He wondered if she'd eat now too, or if they should keep talking.

Starlight

The smaller and slender black phase wolf continued to walk. The white toed and jawed one flicked his white tipped tail. The golden eyed one glanced to where Cypher was. He tilted his head, seeing the other didn't seem well. He seemed...off, though he wasn't showing much. Kuro could just tell, he could tell something was going on. He yelped as Cypher fell to the ground, seeming to have passed out. He dropped the other leg and ran over, nudging the other male then saying "We need to get him back to camp!"

The pretty but handsome smaller and slender golden pup nodded. Brown ears twitched as the brown tipped tail flicked. Brown and blue eyes looked around, then back to them. He glanced to Kuroi, and squeaked as his belly grumbled...He sighed and shook his head. He then looked to Yomi, saying "I...don't know, maybe we could go and start our own pack. Otherwise...if he becomes alpha there in the far future, I'd have to go there." He shook his head, then looked to Kuroi again. He opened his maw to speak, but then Kiyu showed up. "Ah...there she is," he said. He then nodded to the other she pup. He somehow couldn't believe he was the only male pup...but shook it off and said "Hi, Kiyu."

Liberty

Even with his back turned as he approached Blaze, who was the next target of interest, the brute heard over his shoulder the words that spilled from Shy-Fawns mouth. A fire formed in the Alpha’s tummy that nearly forced an immediate reaction from him but he held back the urge and ignored what the newly realigned brute said on the surface because, in the privacy of his thoughts, chaos stirred. What an ignorant thing to say while within earshot of an Alpha even said indirectly that was a threat and Liberty would take it as such making a mental note to never allow Shy-Fawn to be alone for if he ever was Liberty couldn't say what may happen to the brute or what he may do. Instinct demanded that he dispose of a wolf who had an alternative motive besides being useful for his pack. But a part of him wanted to see what kind of bile Shy-Fawn had in that feeble body of his so that Liberty could take joy in breaking it once he had a measurement.

Liberty’s walking stopped when he was eye to eye with the fighter named Blaze but turned his head to snarl at Shy-Fawn as the little brute retreated back to the kill to watch the others eat before resuming eye contact with the fighter. He narrowed his eyes and then spoke in a harsh whisper, “Let's not make a habit of doing whatever it is you think you are doing.” his comment was a reference to how twice today things had either not gone as intended for Blaze or sheer aloofness to his duties had led to failure. Negligence was not something that the Alpha liked tolerating. Liberty stepped with one paw making a motion to move past Blaze but not before adding, “Make sure you eat before we leave.” his voice was fuller and thick with its deepness as he stepped away brushing past the shoulder of the fighter not expecting or waiting for a response. He had stated earlier that he wanted to speak with Blaze once back in camp so felt like he needn’t remind him of it that is unless Blaze failed to remember to add 3 to his lack of success.

He followed in the footsteps made by their arrival but he took his time using this moment of alone time to think. Looking back on the events of today nothing had gone as he originally wanted only the meeting between Destiny and himself had proceeded as intended because of a squabble at the border over of a heck-raising young pup. Today ruined whatever image he thought he was showing off, today the mask slipped a bit, he knew he must work harder at putting up his act and never allow himself to slip again. But anger is ultimately his weakness.

Dante

He waited patiently for the healer to respond to his question while looking down on the empty husk that was once named Kikui who not too long ago was alive and appeared to be healthy so Dante was left with conflicting thoughts but ultimately decided that perhaps Kikui wanted to die and this was the result of willingly giving your self to the silent liberator he'd referred to before in his thoughts as death. When the she-wolf responded he nodded his head in reaction to her words understanding fulfilling your duties to others didn't mean you had to love or even like them which is a practice Dante had been utilizing for some time since he was left alone in this world.

“Well. Since you didn't know him very well he was an intelligent and good-natured wolf who in his youth served this pack as a skillful hunter. “ he exhaled softly then breathed again and added, “Kikui outlived the original alpha...” if no one chose to respond or even cared to do so he whispered quietly. “Grumpy lazy ol’git...” his face carried an expression that was sullen but only for just as long as he could manage because pitiful sadness was a difficult thing for him to give out.

If any wolf had something to add like a memory either sad or happy Dante would have waited and listened. But, he agreed with the healer it was imperative to inform the alpha of the loss. “Scythe, at your earliest convenience could you inform Destiny about our loss? And then return to me?” That was his kindest way of giving some one an order, he would sit back and arrange a relocation of the corpse with Scythe upon their return. He also wanted to sit back on the account he doesn't want to be the one to wake the Alpha. Of course he hadn't noticed his extra company until he turned to step away from the body. Surprise filled his face when he nearly pooped the snoop of Louie and he stepped back once to give them some space, “Louie!” he said in a sharp stifled whisper but then he noticed that the brute’s company had Manfred who should have been in the hunt. “Manny!” his voice growled. He shook his head, more problems to deal with later, “Good god! Both of you speak up before you send another old mutt to an early grave..” he whispered, a dry attempt at humor that did not beg for a reaction.

He sighed as the lead hunter collapsed, he was being silent about it all this time, but he did see him acting suspiciously during this time he was there and he thought that it was pretty obvious to anyone there as well.

Hakuren - male - demi - crush open - hunter - tags: Cypher, Kuroyuki, Athena

He looked at the lead hunter and then the prey "This is impossible...for us to carry him and the prey back to camp, I don't get why are we even trying that in the first place?" he spoke his thought up loud.

Scythe - female - bi - crush developing Louis - healer - tags: "Kikui", Dante, Louis, Manfred, Destiny

She saw the two male wolves peeking at the elder's den all silent, she looked at Dante "Sometimes silent goodbyes work better than talkative ones" she said to the temp beta "Any of us deals with grief and loss differently, so don't force them to speak if they don't want to" she said to him as she stood up to leave the den. She gave Manfred a quick small nod as she walked past him, and gave Louis a quick sad smile before she turned away to look for the alpha. She didn't need to look for her for long as she was already searching for something at the camp "Alpha...uh...You could go to the elder's den, Kikui just passed away...Dante is with him now" she called out to her, not too silent or not too loud, but enough for the other female to hear her.

She looked at him for a moment "Start your own pack, that's going to be hard...you can't start a family together without some little help...and mother to leave their pups behind is not that common!" she said to him. She thought for a moment "I could maybe give you a pup or two when I grow up, maybe if you want, but I guess that's too early to think of now" she responded thoughtfully. She looked at Kiyu when she arrived at the nursery.

She listened to the others, but the conversations about mates and pups didn't really interest her at the moment. She flicked her tail as the other female pup arrived "Hello Kiyu, I wondered where did you vanished? Were you afraid to come here with us, after Scythe's rage?" she questioned the pup.

Redmoon Pack
Castor - male - demi/ a - crush open - lead hunter - tags: open

He looked over to the pup there, then to his adoptive brother with Jessie there, at last, he flicked his red ears over to where Milo and River were. He overheard some of the hunter's latest words when she told him about them, which made him wonder who exactly is this Milo. He thought with a sight.

Labrador - male - questioning - crush open - hunter - tags: open

He finished his share to the buck, now as most of the pack seemed to be there eating he was pretty much done his duties this morning. Flicking his tail he gave the lead hunter a look to tell him that he was leaving. No words need to be told as he turned away to get back to the camp.

He looked over to the Maison and then the pup, flicking his ears rather confused yet surprised about the pup's words "You want to leave, why?" he asked the pup suddenly "What do you seek in Starlight pack what we don't have here?" he questioned the female pup.

She took her last bite of the prey, she was not a heavy eater so she never really eat much. Swallowing her bite she step backward to give whoever else wants to eat, but so far it seemed like everyone was there at the moment. Was this pack always this small she started to wonder.

She took a small nap after her duo huntings alongside her sister Freya. She perked her ears a little bit as she heard the food call, but for now, she was so tired to get out just yet. She decided to eat a little bit later, maybe they could be some leftovers left for whatever prey the other hunters got.

Whilst the pup was distracted with the food. Nova took a moment to herself to gather her thoughts once more. Surely, Liberty would be back and before she knew it he would be announcing the new plan. Regardless of her being on his side or not - she still had to play the face of being the Beta the Alpha wanted her to be. The cold air breezed through her fur, brushing it back. Her eyes searched the other wolves who stood nearby. She wondered what they would think of Liberty if they saw the same darkness she did during their conversation. The she wolf felt a pang of worry for the pack , uncertain of what they would do.

It did not take Eros long to finish the slab of meat that the Beta provided to him a few minutes ago. Nova , now looking directly at Eros, smirked as she paced her way back over to him. Taking a mental note of how full his belly was. The curves at each end showed that he had eaten pretty much to the limit he could take. Round pup , would be his nickname at least in her mind.
Nova’s tail waved behind her , she felt pleased that the pup was full from all the food he ate. He should be - after all the berries and meat that filled his stomach for the evening. “Glad to hear that “ she replied with glee. She pushed his swollen belly with her nose, feeling the tip of the firmness his dinner had caused. “You should sleep through the night then.” the Beta teased the young wolf. Surely it was a joke that is beyond his years of understanding.

When Eros asked about Liberty, she wanted to change the subject. After the display of behavior he showed earlier, he was the last thing she wanted to talk about. Eros being a pup , she knew his curiosity was too great and that he would demand some sort of explanation eventually. Nova only needed a few seconds to calculate exactly what she would say to him. “He had a lot on his mind and just needed to walk. I am pretty confident that he won’t be a grump upon his return.” she teased. She raised her head to be leveled with her shoulders, as she looked the way that Blaze and Liberty had taken off too.

Certainly , they would be back sooner rather than later. That is - if they did not run into any issues. If she considered how most of their day went, the likelihood of them running into trouble was nearly tripled. The havoc causing pup was at home, but who knew what or who lounged on the outskirts of these two packs.

“What do you say we run around camp until bedtime ? A race if you're fast enough. ” she offered. It was her attempt at keeping the pup busy until his ‘father’ returned to the pack . After all , if Eros was exhausted and asleep, that could buy Liberty some time before he had to answer the pup’s questions in the morning.

Kiyu dipped her head towards Kairo as he greeted her - upon her arrival to the den. “I am sorry about earlier. Scythe wanted to make sure you were safe.” she shared, her ears pinned against the top of her head. The wave of guilt crashed over her once again. It was hard for her to realize that it was not her fault that the mother wolf went berserk on the pups. All she wanted to do was soothe the mother wolf in knowing that her pups were alive and well. She did not think it through - or she would have known that they would have gotten in trouble.

“My father sent me to the den - it wasn’t something he wanted me to see.” she explained herself. Louie would always protect Kiyu from things he did not want her to witness - especially if none of it pertained to her. Kiyu , sometimes, understood that he was trying to keep her focused on being a pup and training. The real adulthood of being a wolf would come soon enough as it was - might as well make due of the puphood she had left. Especially after the way her life had begun , starting with tragedy before she had the chance to make real memories with her family.

Kiyu had heard the very end of the previous conversation the pups were having. Something about adulthood that they were planning ahead for. She figured that it had nothing to do with her or Louie , so decided not to butt in and figure out what it was about.

Since the hunters had yet to arrive back at the pack , she figured that this was their normal time for dinner. “ What were you three up to anyway ?” she asked.

Louie stood in silence as the Beta began to speak on the life of the elder in front of them. As he told his story about Kikui , Louie listened in as much as he could, he had not been there long enough to see Kikui in his younger years tending to the pack.

He glanced over as the hunter was sent off to alert the Alpha of the loss of their pack mate. His eyes met hers for a moment as she offered a weak smile filled with sadness due to the moment of grievance. Louie dipped his head towards her, maybe he’d check in after they’ve taken care of the remains. Louie's train of thought was abruptly derailed as he was nearly snoot to snoot with the Beta , who fluffed about sending him to his early demise.

“I apologize, it’s not my intent to startle you. I figured I would come and assist in moving the remains if necessary," Louie shared with the beta and shortly after heard the growl from the Beta as he spoke the other wolf’s name. From the sounds of it, Dante was not pleased to see Manfred at the unfortunate occasion. After all , he’d sent the hunters out over an hour ago to get dinner for the pack and yet Manny was here with them.

As the moment grew silent again he backed a few paw steps away from the den to give Dante and Manfred a bit of space to settle their issues. “I’ll give you a moment.” were the words he spoke to escape the obviously tense encounter with the others , before standing on all paws and moving further away from them, but still within an earshot if needed.

It seemed like an eternity waiting for the lead hunter to give her a command of some sort. She nodded her snoot in agreement that it would not take all of them to take the stag back to the rest of the pack . “I can scope out the hares while I wait for you all to return. Might be able to catch one. “ the novice hunter shared with the group.

Athena looked between the males , before her focus settled on Cypher. She tilted her head in slight curiosity as he gasped. The she-wolf attempted to figure out if the wolf was okay. A few moments went by as he attempted to steady himself - attempted. In the blink of an eye the wolf’s body dropped before the group of hunters. She watched in a brief frozen state as one of the wolves quickly approached Cypher. ‘We need to get him back.’ someone spoke to them. Snapping Athena back to the reality of what was happening. She quickly moved towards Cypher’s limp body

Brown eyes laid upon the wolf who’d fainted a few seconds ago. , “Let’s get him up.,” her nose scooped under Cypher’s neck - whilst the rest of her body lowered to evenly support him, it would probably take two of them to get him up and moving. She figured since she missed the majority of the hunt that she could assist them in carrying their lead back to the pack for medical assistance. Athena’s eyes shot over to the other hunters - awaiting their assistance in carrying the larger wolf.

Looking to Yomi, he said "Packs don't have to be related. I mean...I'm not related to you two. Destiny isn't related to any of us, I don't think. It...would be nice to have pups one day, though. If...if Eros would even want them but yeah, we are too young right now. Thank you though," he giggled at her. He then looked to Kuroi a moment. He glanced to Kiyu last, and said "I guess it's fine..."

When she said Louie hadn't wanted her to see something, Kairo sat up straight in alarm. "What...what happened, what didn't he want you to see?" he asked. He tilted his head as he looked at her. He then let out a small sigh as he looked to the others. "I was letting Kuroi eat the rest of my rabbit. I...feel kind of hungry again though." He shook his head a couple times. Kane
Hunter - 2 1/2 - Male - Hunter of Red Moon Pack - Tags: open

The young male was relaxing just outside the hunter dens. The food call had sounded not so long ago but he didn’t feel like eating. Kane is a small wolf, one that has smaller servings too. Hopefully there will be some later on, something he could pick at.
He rose to his paws, letting out a light yawn whilst stretching his leg muscles. Scanning the area, many wolves seem to be resting or chatting away around him. Though how tempting it is to walk into a conversation and see what’s going on, he sat himself back down, waiting patiently for someone to walk past.

Destiny sighed as she paused in her steps, she could tell by the way Scythe was approaching that her guess was correct. One of her pack members had passed. Destiny raised her head a bit as the hunter approached, the sadness the wolf carried made Destiny's heart ache. She listened close to the quiet tone Sythe used. Nodding slowly "I understand. I will go speak with Dante and see what is left to be done." she spoke softly. A sad smile crossed her face "Kikui was an amazing wolf and will need an amazing sendoff. Can you please gather anyone you can so we can host a vigil?" she asked. Destiny flicked her tail and took a step towards the den Sythe had come from "Please excuse me" she commented before proceeding to the den to meet with Dante.
Destiny paused before entering, taking a moment to breathe and remind herself to hold her emotions. Now was a time she needed to be strong for her pack. She knew this loss would hit Dante, as he and Kikui were close. Kikiu was an asset to the pack and his loss would take a toll. She felt the energy in the pack had already shifted and it would be a challenge to fix. She looked around and noticed Louie standing a short distance away, she offered a kind head nod to the fighter.
Preparing herself, Destiny walked into the den, the sight of Kikiu laying on the ground almost brought a tear to her eye, but she reminded herself to stay strong. Her eyes turned to Dante who was standing startled, she guessed from the appearance of another pack member. She slowly approached her friend and offered a small nuzzle to the shoulder "I know you were close. Are you okay?" she asked. Taking a step back to look at the Beta.

Blaze lowered his gaze as Liberty spoke, although knowing that he could re-prove himself, Blaze couldn't help but feel like he had failed the back. Something that he always worked so hard NOT to do. He flicked an ear listening intently to Liberty. With the instruction to remember to eat before Liberty walked past him. Blaze nodded knowing Liberty wouldn't be able to see him, however it was natural to nod at an order.
Blaze walked away and approached the remains of the meal the pack was sharing. He lowered his head to bite off a piece as instructed. Carrying the meat a short distance from the others, he wanted to keep an eye on everyone remaining. Blaze noted that Liberty had wanted to speak with him once they arrived back to the camp so he needed to keep watch on when the Alpha made the move to return.

River's eyes followed Milo's as he had looked over the other wolves that she had just mentioned. She couldn't help but to gently wag her tail. Something about watching Milo adapt and learn about the pack made her incredibly happy. She had never been this involved with introducing someone to the pack and their way of life and she had to admit. It was kind of fun. River just secretly hoped even when Milo began building relationships with the other pack members that he would still talk to her. She thought he was kind, and so far liked having him around.
Her thoughts were broken when Milo spoke, River nodded in response "oh Absolutely. Let me know when you'd like to meet everyone and I can bring you over" she commented "They're all very nice once they open up." she added to ensure that he knew if they put on a hard front once they got used to the new pack member it would go well - hopefully.

Milo had to admit , at least mentally, that he had a lot to learn about the pack. A whole new set or rules, fresh faces, and a new beginning for the longevity in time that remains of his life. He lowered his hind legs, placing him into a sitting position. River had offered to individually have him meet some of the pack mates. Feeling a small sense of overwhelming excitement. This was something that he had been looking forward to for the last few months. While taking it all in , the fact that he finally resides in a pack, he kept looking between the round of wolves around them. It was dinner time and most of the wolves would probably kick off to get some rest. In his mind , that meant that now wasn't exactly the time for him to be introduced. Not to wolves who'd just shoved their stomachs with the remains of another. They were probably all stuffed to the rim and ready to hit the dirt. 'Maybe tomorrow.' his thoughts intruded once more.

"I will take you up on that offer , another day. If you have some time, can you show me to the nearest lake - even if it's frozen over." Milo quietly laughed to himself. With it being close to the end of the day, he needed a moment to just go wandering around the pack. Which in turn could help him map out his new surroundings better. "Or should I put a hold in that idea ?" he questioned out loud. He had not seen the Alpha is some time since his arrival. Figuring he must be out doing something - important. Milo's gaze wandered towards the bushes were Liberty and Blaze had run past a mere moment ago. Curiosity caught the wolf - wondering what the Alpha would leave them to chase after someone. 'Did they not have border patrol or warriors for that ? '

Milo's brow arched to follow the curious thoughts on his mind. He turned his snoot back to the wolf next to him and looked at her for a moment before he finally formulated the words. "Do you know why the Alpha and uhm... Blaze ran off?" he applied emphasis on the name of the fighter. Showing that he was not exactly confident in the name he'd called the wolf who ran behind Liberty. Maybe River would have the answer that he was looking for. Quietly, his eyes searched hers waiting for an answer to be said. A quick blink and he was looking off in the distance were the others pondered off to. An interesting bunch to say the least.
