@Kites: I'd say a 5, then.
@Forever: 5
@Kuu: No. Semicolons are nice, sure, but it's not a good way to judge someone's skill level. Often you can use them interchangeably with "because".
@Harplacy: Exactly. RPing, in my opinion, should be fast. I think that most posts should be around four sentences. Otherwise there's too much to take in to be able to respond effectively. And thank you. I enjoy making up terms

@Silver Stars: Thank you! And I'm going to say you're a 4.
I'M BACK!
Phew! Well that hiatus was way longer than I was planning!
I see that many of my friends have changed their usernames, so please excuse me while I figure out who's who, and also forgive me for temporarily dissapearing off the face of the earth.
Feel free to shoot me a PM and catch up!
End of the school year coming up so I might not be on for the next few days due to parties/graduation/family etc. etc.

This was to adopt in Adoptable Oekaki. Surprisingly, I didn't win...

Can you judge my level, please?
The black pup snuggled against his mother, sucking milk. He nuzzled against her side. From the other side of the den, the Omega male watched with pride. The Alpha female lifted her head to look at her pup. He lifted his tiny head to stare back at her. "I love you, Mama," he squeaked. His mother smiled, and so did his dad, though from far away, on the other side of the cave.
Shrieks could be heard throughout the pack's territory. Snarls, and the sound of claws on flesh. The Alpha female peeked out of her den and gasped. It was a gruesome sight. The Alpha male leaped on top of the Omega male, tearing out a chunk of his fur. The not-as-well-fed wolf buckled under his weight, and the Alpha lunged with his teeth at his throat. The Omega's paws flailed, but he was no match for the Alpha, who ripped through his throat in one swift movement. He spit the guts on the ground. "How dare you steal my mate," he growled. Then, in another fit of rage, he tore open the dead wolf's stomach, sending guts and blood flying everywhere. The Alpha female watched in horror as her official mate tore apart the father of her pup. The Alpha male looked up with a mad expression, like he had gone crazy. He had a twisted smile and was completely covered in blood. The pup yelped slightly, and the Alpha male turned his head slowly towards the Alpha female and the pup he had though was his- up until now. "You," he whispered angrily. "You!" he howled. He leaped up from the dead wolf and lunged at the pup and his mother. The Alpha female jumped in front of her son, and the Alpha male landed on her, his claws nailing her to the back wall of the cave by the throat. Her blood dripped down on her son as she said, with her last breath, "Run."
The little pup took off. He was old enough that he had had practice running around the cave. He still could feel his mother's blood on him. He did not stop running until he had crossed out of the pack's territory. Once there, he curled up in an empty tree hole and cried himself to sleep.
My lights are OFF!
I walked across
An empty land,
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth
Beneath my feet,
Sat by the river and it made me complete
Oh, simple thing
Where have you gone?
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when
You're gonna let me in,
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

You are truly a woman after me own 'eart, you are. I think about 2 short paragraphs - one reaction, one action - is the optimal amount. So, around 4-5 meaty sentences.

Holy carp, thats a little gruesome! D:
First thing I spotted, was that you used a lot of fullstops in the first paragraph. Comma's are friends (not food).

@Shimmerleaf: Like Kites said, commas are wonderful. I'd say a 4. I'll make a more accurate way to rate skill level once I get back to my computer. (In about 3 hours)
@Harpalyce: Action/Reaction is the heart and soul of RPing. More and more I see people posting things that no one can respond to. We don't really need to know if your character flicked his tail. Now, if you could tell us /why/ (as long as it wasn't just a fly or something) that would be amazing.

I have to ask judging by your replies so far (and in general): Are you trolling? Or is English your second language?
wow. if you think that is trolling, then I can still find it safe to assume "80% of the mean actions on line are blow out of proportion"
if I wanted to troll I'd say "pptttt, who needs to use correct spelling on a adoptable pet site where a good population are tweens" that is trolling.
I just don't understand it.

I don't think trolling means what you think it means, but I'll just assume that you meant "no" to my question.
Thank you for answering, a few people and myself were genuinely curious about the subject.
Other than that, I have to say it's beneficial to practice reading more often and grasp the workings of the English language as well as maintaining topic consistency for maximum benefit in communication. Too much side-tracking can render a post impossible to read in a practical manner. Which is worse than lacking punctuation in my opinion.
Also, as a just-in-case disclaimer, please do not blow the latter portion out of proportion as it is a general statement.
Thank you for the time though.

@kuroyami & Mao mi: Hey, hey. Calm down, both of you. We don't want his topic to be locked because of fighting. Take it to the PMs if you really must.
Although I'd like to point out that sometimes your character has something to say and if you run over 4-5 scentences, it's not bad. Here's a prime example from
The Wolves of Argentum Silva:
Kyoko wrote:(XD lol Woot!)
The silver furred she-wolf smiled and nodded, "I have no doubt you will." She said as she walked up to the top of a hill, overlooking a more open part of the forests, a large green meadow. "This is were you and I will be training now. First off, I want you to know what it means to be a spy." She turned towards him, ice blue gaze set on him. "The very title of 'Spy' speaks of stealth and cunning. Your mind must be sharp, able to react in a seconds notice." Her eyes held a look of seriousness, her tone strong. "You must be commited to learning every day, because even I have never stopped learned even after my years of being a Master."
