Cale Darkwind~Appentice Spy

Cale glared fiercely out of the dusty hole where he was being held hostage. Several lean, scruffy-looking coyotes stood guard above him. A large group of them had caught him when he had left his den at camp early, unable to sleep. He had attempted to fight them off, but was overpowered by their sheer numbers. Now he was stuck as a prisoner in their camp.
A snarl almost escaped his lips, but he held it in. The coyotes enjoyed having an animal larger than themselves as a prisoner, so they would take every opportunity to tease and snap at him. He already had several painful cuts across his shoulder and back, and he knew that he would need to save his strength for an escape.

:Tristen Farsight:
He slowly awoke from slumber, his dreams fading away. He rose to his paws and with his jaws stretching in a wide yawn, shook himself, making his thick dark fur swirl about him. Licking his chops, he padded outside into the early morning sunshine, blinking his eyes sleepily. He lowered himself to sit just outside his den, observing his pack for a moment. His mind wandered to thinking it was time for a refresher in fighting moves. He looked around for his Knights.

:Arianna Bloodheart:
She padded around the trees silently. She'd been up since morning's first light, as only a Spy should be, aware and keeping a look out. She padded back to the edge of camp, and tongue lolling, watched Alanna wake the apprentice spy Thane. Flicking her ears she padded into camp quickly. She had important news.

Thane awoke to the gentle sound of his trainer. He rolled over and yawned before looking up at her. "Really?!" His voice held excitement and joy, but also the thick sound of sleep. Thane stood and shook out his tri-color fur. Fixing his yellow eyes on his mentor he smiled. "I'm ready."

[Synni]

Alanna smiled as she turned, flicking her tail for him to follow. "Yep. On the boarders, it makes for better, inunteruppted training. It'll be just you and me today." She said as she began walked towards the edge of camp, looking around and recieving a confident glance from Allan that told her the area was clear, safe to travel in. "Follow me, as of now, you're my official apprentice, Thane." She broke into a brisk trot over the rolling hills that would lead to her oppinion of a perfect training ground.

"Official apprentice..." Thane whispered to himself. This meant he had been fully accepted into the pack. This had to be one of the best days he had lived. As he followed Alanna he looked up at the sky, only wishing his parents where watching over him. Thinking of his parents made him wonder. "Alanna did you know my parents?"

Alanna looked down at Thane as she trotted over the hills. "I was only a little young than I am now when I really met your parents. I remember them as expert spies, your father was acctually my inspiration for being the spy I am today." She said, remembering her younger days when she too was an apprentice. "When I became the Master Spy, I talked with your mother. We both knew that you'd someday be an amazing young wolf, and that's exactly what you are today." She smiled kindly down at the young pup, her ice blue eyes sympathetic towards his loss, she knew exactly how he felt, she had lost her parents as well when she was just about his age.

Thane smiled as she spoke of his parents. Then when she said they had spoke of him... It only made his heart swell. "I hope i can live up to their expectations of me..."
