Enter pin when accepting trading!

So I'm one of the people who fell victim to a reverse trade and I know some people are weary about 2 Factory Authentication because it takes time and it can be annoying so why not have a PIN NUMBER you can enter to confirm trades. You can set your pin as like "0069" or have a long one like "1291872918" that you have to enter before confirming / accepting a trade. Also if the pin is entered incorrectly it can alert you VIA email that the wrong pin was entered and your account could be compromised giving you the option to "force log out that device". It could solve so many problems.



Edit: The pin would be optional for people who don't want 2FA or want something within the site specifically so they don't have to open up something on phone or anything like that

Edit 2: This would not be for editting trades or starting edittable trades. This would be for ACCEPTING the trades. If you select "Ask them to accept the trade" when you start / begin / first send a trade then it will prompt you with a pin. So you could edit and suggest back and forth without putting a pin in.



Edit 3: I have been compensated for the reverse trade and even if I wasn't I will not accept compensation from another player for something that wasn't their fault! <3 I adore you guys very much, but when I say all my trades are halted I mean ALL so please don't try and gift me or compensate me T_T

Oh no we can totally disagree that's fine. I can go grab some screenshots to show you the feature on neopets since I'm on right now doing some daily stuff (i play everyday religiously almost).


When you go to bank without a pin (I have a pin, but removed it for these pics for you) it prompts you that adding a pin to your bank can be a good way to protect your account because then they (hacker) cannot remove the thousands/millions of neopoints you have in the bank.


Once you click it then it brings you to a prompt to make a pin along with showing at the top other preferences in security and account safety.



I have set my pin and now it will prompt me again that I have done so.



Now it will show me all opens for places I want it to require the pin and where I do not want it to require the pin.



Now I put it on my bank and shop and where else I feel and when I try to do things it comes up like this:



I just wanted to give you a visual because I'm sure seeing pin can be kind of confusing for people who have never played games with bank pins or storage pins or any security pins in their stuff. Also again this would be optional and it wouldn't be forced on people, but instead is an alternative for more security if they want it.

support! My only concern would be what to do if you forget your pin but that can easily be solved with a "forgot pin" option which could be fixed via an authentication code.

Yeah a [FORGOT PIN] could also send an email letting you know someone's on your account attempting to reset your pin which would be another huge help. Adding a "log out on that device" option in the email would stop all the issues so easily

huge support. 2-3 accounts have been comprimised today so far (I wouldn't be surprised if there are more to come), and while they're being caught at a faster rate now it still doesn't solve the site-wide issue we're experiencing. there are so many ways of approaching the situation that I can think of off of the top of my head - it really isn't difficult to install proper security measures to protect accounts from being hacked into like this.
