Shy Fawn nodded. "Yes, Liberty." His act seemed to vanish as he followed his leader. He caught Blaze's eye. In his own was a smoldering dark promise. He looked away, settling down to watch the pack. "One day I'll be first to eat and you'll be last." He looked around, a dangerous type of glee in his eyes. He stared at Blaze again, before yurning to look at the meat. His belly didn't rumble. They thought he was weak.
Well they'd regret ever letting him
in. Not that there'd be much time to. He licked his lips and sat down.

Bluebell crept upon her prey. A mouse. She lunged to grab it, but her broken foreleg prevented this. Her only chance meal scurried away. Bluebell turned away, skinnier than a twig. Shy Fawn's threat ran clear in her mind. "Fine, But breathe a word and your dead." Bluebell sighed. The blue she wolf had been starving for 5 weeks. She went to Starlights hunting grounds. "How will they react to an old clanmate?" She askes herself. She could only hope she'd be let in. She gulped. And...She would have to tell them about shy fawn. Despair overwhelmed her, and she collasped, sobbing.

After laying a piece or morsel in front of the pup, she waited just a moment for him to begin eating. Instead, Eros decided that he'd attack her with sweet kisses. Oh, to have a pup or be a pup again. She lowered her entire body to the ground, embracing the thank you from the pup. Her tail wagged for a moment or two , before looking up at the others.

Nova wanted to roll her eyes at the wolf who questioned her watching over Eros. It was no ones concern what she did, as long as it brought no harm to the pack. "If you must know, Jessie. Liberty is currently out handling business. It's my duty to ensure everyone's safety and looked after. Including Eros." she spoke calmly to the she wolf. This was the second time in a single day. She wondered why the females in this pack were the way that they were.

Soon after, her attention turned back to Eros to watch the pup as he chewed on the meat she had given him. Nova almost asked if he needed any help with it, but if she did the young wolf would never learn. She walked a few steps away to grab some of the left over morsel for herself. She found her a place a mere three feet from the pup, to allow him some personal space to eat. The she wolf dropped the meat between her front paws and began to scavenge her food. Her nose now with a scent layer of the meat, she dug in , using her paws to rip it apart. It only took her a few minutes to finish the small amount of food that she'd taken from the pile. With the last swallow , Nova looked over at Eros , "Satisfied ?" she asked.

As the she wolf begun to go over the wolves of their pack, he did his best to keep up. Mentally, he took note of their pelt colors as River touched basis on who they were. He would try his best to remember, but of course - he'd actually have to start talking to them all. It would take at least a month for him to figure out the basics here.

A few days prior to joining, as he admitted to River already, he had taken a moment to scout out the pack. It was never in detail enough to know which wolf was who. He faintly remembered, the hunters going out on their mission. Obviously, as a lone wolf he didn't approach them. "When you have time, I would like to meet the hunters" he motioned towards the gaggle of wolves standing nearby the carcass. Eventually , he'd have to get to know them individually to make sure he'd work in this pack.

He slowly made his way back to the den that he shared with his daughter. Louie poked his head in to see that she was still sound asleep, curled up in the back of the den. For a moment, he kept his focus on her and watched her breathing. Then den was silent now, only the light breeze in the wind could be heard. The large wolf hovered over Kiyu, licking the tips of her ears. Kiyu, unpleased with her father's touch - pawed at her ears. She's still breathing.

Louie turned around to sit at the edge of their den. His paws shoveling snow across the ground away from their quarters. Now that he had a bit of free time before he went to bed, he figured he'd keep an eye on the other pups. The nursey was an eyeshot away from him. Of course, he did his best to make sure it was not oblivious that he was looking out for them.

He came back, but I don't really trust him right now. Now...why would you go to our rival pack?" he asked her. "You don't have any family or friends there...and aren't some of us your friends?" they asked.

The reddish looking male twitched darker reddish or brown ears, and the tipped tail flicked. Lighter brownish looking eyes looked there, then back to her. He shook his head a couple times. "I...not really...but he's newer to the pack anyway, right? I don't think I've really seen him hang out with any-wolf before. Well...that is except River now." He then nodded as she spoke. "Well, it's good to want a mate one day, but if no one has caught your interest then it can wait."

The black-phase wolf laid there. He didn't move much, and soon it seemed like his breathing began to slow as well. He shivered a bit then stopped, and his breathing slowed more. He made a couple small sounds, then passed away peacefully.

The smaller and slender black phase wolf watched. The white toed and jawed one flicked his white tipped tail. The golden eyed one nodded back to the other male a moment. He felt warm inside, as the other seemed to silently thank him for the rabbit. He felt like he might faint...He scolded himself, then quickly looked to the other once more. He nodded to Dante a second time, smiling a wolf smile. "Okay," he said, as Dante spoke to him in what was an encouraging way.

He was nodding to the other male, and opening his mouth to speak when the others showed up. He sighed and shook his head as those two finally showed up. "Well...it's good you're both here," he said to Hakuren and Mikage. He glanced to Cypher a moment. He'd already decided he wasn't going to say anything. Cypher had asked him to keep quiet about it, after all. He watched the lead hunter grab one of the legs. He grabbed one on the opposite side, and waited for the two others.

The pretty but handsome smaller and slender golden pup sighed. Brown ears twitched as the brown tipped tail flicked. Brown and blue eyes looked to them both. First, to Yomi, he said "I mean, yeah, but it seems so long for it to happen..." Then he looked to Kuroi and shook his head. "I don't think they just left, they might have run into trouble. There's bears and cougars and stuff out there...I've also heard male deer can badly injure even an adult wolf," he said.

He looked at the lead hunter and the Kuroyuki, a little bit suspicious as he did feel that there was something going on there, what they didn't say. Thought as long it was not his problem he didn't take it up at all "Alright, we will just help you to carry this stag to the camp..." he said to the Cypher. He looked over to Athena as he took his hold of the stag's leg.

He looked at the two then to Athena "Well this stag doesn't need all of us to carry it, back, maybe some of us could go to see that rabbit burrow you mentioned..." he said to him. His eyes looked at Athena who was the last one to join them, but then again he felt like he was in trouble with Dante about earlier.

She sorted some of her herbs to calm her mind about the stress and anger she got when the pups were missing. For now, they were all back in camp so she could calm down now, and take a deep breath. She looked at the herb piles for a moment 'Now that I think about it Kikui was acting a little bit odd there, was he always that way?' she started to think the elder. She left the healer's den after finishing her sortings and watched the camp for a moment, but had this weird feeling on her like something was off. Her eyes looked at the elder's den, the entrance seemed normal, but she decided to see if the elder needed anything there "Kikui?" she called out before she stepped into the somewhat large den "Kikui..." she called out once again as she watched the wolf laying at the ground. She watched the wolf there, sitting down when she realized that the elder's side did not move and she could not hear the sound of breathing "...so this is the path you chose..." she said silently.

She flicked her tail "Hmm yeah I know there are many dangers, but could someone tell you something if they were killed?" she asked confused, but then she realized that Kairo was pretty young then, so that kind of news could be traumatizing to him. She nodded "Yeah I've heard that too on hunters, if they find a herd with females and calves they need to be careful not to be seen by the lead male," she said.

He finished his share to the buck, now as most of the pack seemed to be there eating he was pretty much done his duties this morning. Flicking his tail he gave the lead hunter a look to tell him that he was leaving. No words need to be told as he turned away to get back to the camp.

She looked at Milo "hmm, maybe you will have your chase to know him, maybe he wants to know the pack too, including you as you belong to the pack," she said.

She took a small nap after her duo huntings alongside her sister Freya. She perked her ears a little bit as she heard the food call, but for now, she was so tired to get out just yet. After a deep breath the brute gathered himself letting go of the the thoughts that haunted his brief nap. Yet, His peaceful breath that cleared his thoughts carried a smell it was one that was very familiar to him because it was the smell of death. A being who could only be recognized by those who were close to their unavoidable embrace and Dante who had been near his beloved Weiss had felt that embrace and he had taken it unto himself as to memorize the taint of Death’s sickening scent so he knew when death was lurking waiting to take a life and death was very close he could tell.

He was nearly blind with curiosity but duty and his promise to it brought him back to purpose. He must consult his Alpha immediately about the future and the consequences of forming a peace pact with the neighboring Alpha. But unfortunately besides his own fears, that were born through a distrust and maybe even a deep seeded hate that couldn’t be explained by simple words, kept him from a strong unbiased argument he knew his Alpha needed. He stared blankly at his paws for a moment wondering what it is he could say against Liberty. But, since Dante did not hear the contents of the two Alpha’s conversation due to his own attempt at causing a bit of drama at the border for his own humor he lacked major details that he felt if he knew he could speak against them to help curve his beloved Alpha back into his opinion which was to avoid this ridiculous peace treaty. With business on his mind the brute stood then turned quickly to the entrance of Destiny’s den marching briskly to his Alpha only to be surprised to see…she was a sleep resting her precious eyes and mending her weighted mind from todays earlier events. His heart warmed greatly at this sight because it was one he’d seen many times before. Destiny slept safely here in the Alpha’s den because her pack stood between her and any harm that could invade this peaceful silent moment including Liberty or that’s how Dante felt he couldn’t speak for the others because his thoughts were simply pulled from duty and gave way to much simpler things that would only cross the mind of a male who was in love. It was a feeling he’d forgotten about but at one point he treasured it more than anything but now that feeling was stronger than ever before as he looked upon the ball of curled fluff that took up the center space of the den. Destiny was the only one who had been there for him after his loss, she provided him with comfort, advice, and care when he put off his own personal self care. What had he given her in return? Certainly nothing equivalent to what she had given him he knew it. He’d taken so much of her energy an effort just to become the way he was which was defined as miserable and hateful towards his remaining life. Yet he didn’t want to do this alone anymore and he felt he had an obligation to his Alpha to return all her effort and energy she gave to him during his time of need. This was a silent promise he’d never say he just made because it was a personal quest that he would fulfill to his highest expectations.

A most inappropriate thought burned in his mind but even with the innocence of it he was sure Destiny would have firm words to say yet his thought was simple he would have cuddled with her had his intrusive thoughts not seemed so inappropriate at first. Since Destiny was truly in a sleep Dante knew it better than to wake sleeping dogs which meant he would leave his Alpha be and ignore his thoughts though he longed for it. It wasn’t until recently that he saw the full value of the relationship he built with his Alpha but it was a greatly unfortunate that he had become to love her more than perhaps he should. A hefty shame fell on his shoulders and barred at his heart because it was only just moments ago where he was suffering in silence over loss he should let go of before pursuing the current desire of his heart. He had seen the way she glared at Liberty and how her eyes lingered on his figure or how she never tore her eyes from his it was like in a small way she was attracted to the neighboring Alpha which could cause issues because love is not blind and it is a cannibal with an acute vision so he hoped he had t lost her to such primal urges. Perhaps, Destiny could still see without rose colored glasses and would consider the logic of his words of course when she was awake because a well rested mind could think clearly.

Speaking of clarity where had the hunters gone off to? It had been some time and he hadn’t heard a single bark or howl from Cypher or any of his subordinates what were they doing? Carrying a full sized kill back to camp? He wondered but thought better of it quickly because that would just be the most absurd thing he could think of so he put the thought furthest from his mind then turned from his Alpha’s den and walked to the center of camp where once again he was welcomed by the heavy scent of after death which was the presence of death still lingering long after a life had been taken, his stomach knotted, he wanted to lie to himself and believe his hunch was incorrect but he knew he had trained that 6th sense of his very well. Death had indeed made a visit and this was confirmed when Scythe, the packs loyal healer, exited her den rested for a moment scanning the surrounding faces. When he felt like she had looked at him he nodded kindly to her, which was odd why had he done that, then allowed his eyes to follow her a moment as she made her way to the Elders den where he was sure she’d see Kikui. When the she wolf disappeared into his den he heard her call out his name more than once which prompted a brisk reaction from the temp beta. He entered then den shortly after Scythe speaking, “Scythe! I heard you call out -pauses when he sees the passed on elder- I see…” His words seemed to fall off when he heard the she wolf comments about how Kikui had chosen this he of course knew that this wasn’t the case sometimes this is just how it was. “Surely if given the choice he wouldn’t have chosen this. But at least it was peaceful and he didn’t struggle..” he commented softly after she finished speaking. He stepped to the She-wolfs side and gave the mane of the deceased wolf a gentle nuzzle knowing that it was a bit pointless. “Were you two close friends?” He asked making small talk sure that the she wolf may need sometime to morn because he couldn’t due to death being a common visitor to Dante he’d grown cold to such sights over his years.

While he waited he began to reminisce the life of Kikui in his thoughts remembering that Kikui was a young adult when Dante was a pup becoming a teenager. The thoughts of wrestling and playing with the old man brought a warm feeling to him rather than despair. It was his duty to inform the others of the loss the pack just suffered.

Eros

The ebony pup was elated when the beta allowed her self to feel the full wraith of his loving thank you. His heart felt warm again that’s all he had needed after the weird awkwardness that was between Nova and Liberty. Eros couldn’t understand why Liberty could even be mad at Nova she was so nice! His tail slapped at his sides wagging vigorously showing his excitement. His obliviousness to the adults around him was part of the blissful mind of a child who was only concerned with eating the morsel of tough meat he had been given by the Beta. While he ate his mind wondered, ignoring the adults because he could hardly hear his own thoughts behind his own chewing or snarling with effort to eat, what had caused the tension between the two adults of course he would have the answer to that question had he just listened while the two were speaking but at the time all he could hear was the ever more intense groaning of his food depraved stomach which he was pleased to satisfy now.

It was a short venture, eating the meat, but it was a work out. The pups jaw burned from all the hard chewing he had to do in order to ingest the morsel that had been bestowed upon him yet even though his muscles burned he wished he hadn’t eaten all the grapes Liberty had given him so quickly because they would be a wonderful treat after such a filling meal.

It was very obvious that the pup was quite full by the way that his tummy bulged giving him a rounded look. At the time that he was addressed by Nova he had been running around, a bit slowly and lazily, dodging the legs of the adults that were around the kill apologizing occasionally when he’d scrape the heels of his fellow members. He would glance over at Nova every now and then to see if she had finished eating, knowing better than to bother an adult, but when it looked like the beta was nearly done he slowed his pace near her then responded quickly when she asked if he was satisfied with it. The pup sat back on his haunches huffing and puffing a bit heavily due to the extra weight of his fully loaded pot belly, “Yes ma’am! It was Grrrrreat! My belly soooooo full..” he said with some slight panting looking up at her once again just plainly oblivious to anything occurring that he was not involved with personally. “Thank you! Hey what’s Liberty doing? Is he nice again…big ol’grumpy rump…” he said making a face for a moment then looked surprised he had said such a thing using words Liberty probably would have forbade him to use. He’d ask kindly later if Nova would keep his jape to Liberty between them.

She sat there and watched the fallen elder. her ears perked behind her when she heard someone making its way to the elder's den. She didn't watch the comer, but she did recognize his scent and it was obvious when the lead fighter, temp beta spoke up. She didn't try to explain her words to the elder earlier about him choosing dead as she still thought he actually did 'He was too fine just a moment ago to actually just die so suddenly' she thought to herself. She knew that when you get old you can give up and die, or he was just faking his true feelings earlier. As the she wolf begun to go over the wolves of their pack, he did his best to keep up. Mentally, he took note of their pelt colors as River touched basis on who they were. He would try his best to remember, but of course - he'd actually have to start talking to them all. It would take at least a month for him to figure out the basics here.

A few days prior to joining, as he admitted to River already, he had taken a moment to scout out the pack. It was never in detail enough to know which wolf was who. He faintly remembered, the hunters going out on their mission. Obviously, as a lone wolf he didn't approach them. "When you have time, I would like to meet the hunters" he motioned towards the gaggle of wolves standing nearby the carcass. Eventually , he'd have to get to know them individually to make sure he'd work in this pack.

A few moments after Louie left their den , Kiyu woke up from her brief slumber. She thought about earlier when she had basically led the adults over to them. Kiyu did not mean for them to get in trouble , but she wanted the parent to know that they were safe." Hey guys. The wolf was nearly asleep when he heard the name of the elder being called. It sounded like a distress call from their healer he had spoken to earlier. Louie - now on full alert- proceeded to move from his den, leaving Kiyu behind to go see what the commotion was about. He took a moment to peep over at the pups seeing that the trouble trio had not left their den after their antics today.

Louie quickly paced a trot over to the Beta and healer who overlooked the now deceased elder Kikui. He sat on his haunches to look over at the Beta who questioned Scythe on her closeness with the elder. She went on to explain how they were just pack mates and no more. He figured that he would give the two a few moments to say something nice about Kikui before asking if the Beta would like for him to bury or dispose of the wolf's remains.

They glanced over to Castor and Labrador a moment. They noticed a she wolf was no longer there, but only shook their head at this. They then looked to Hyuuga and the pup again. They waited alongside him, for her to give some sort of answer.

He thought the two males were quite nice to look at. Shaking his head, he nodded at her again. "Yeah...we are like one big family," he agreed, then ripped off some meat. He began to eat, and glanced to her. He wondered if she'd eat now too, or if they should keep talking.

The smaller and slender black phase wolf nodded to Cypher. The white toed and jawed one flicked his white tipped tail. The golden eyed one opened his mouth to speak. However, he quickly quieted down and watched the others then.

He grabbed a leg on the opposite side, and waited for some of the others. He couldn't really talk now that he was doing this. He nodded to what Hakuren was saying, and glanced to the others. He waited to see if Athena would say anything.

"Ah...there she is," he said. He then nodded to the other she pup. He somehow couldn't believe he was the only male pup...but shook it off and said "Hi, Kiyu."

The poor brute wouldn’t have known any details of the coming day due to the fact he allowed his laziness to overwhelm causing him to lay about the camp invisible because of the blanket of snow that covered him and kept him very warm. His laziness kept him from being available for Cypher and Dante when the call for a hunt was made because Manny was able to sleep through even the howl as well as the threat of going hungry had any Hunter stay instead of hunt as demanded so unknowingly the brute had given up his right to eat with the pack for the day which wouldn’t bother him though he would be a bit cross to find out the hard way should Dante enforce his words. But none of that mattered really Manny was a Hunter he could just go out and feed himself rather than starve yet the amount of rest he was receiving had become a bit suspicious how late had it gotten? At the realization he sat up with a great exaggerated yawn then opened his eyes into a sunlit world and from the angle the light was reaching he figured that it was very late into the after noon. “Oh dear I’ve done it again..” he whispered softly to himself since once again he’d slept most of the day away. “I wonder what it is I should be doing..” the scents of the surrounding wolves filled his nose. He could tell Dante, the healer, Destiny, and a hand full of others were still here but he could tell most of the other hunters were missing. “Oh crap now I’ve really done it…” he whispered looking around himself for a moment then he stood from the pile of snow he had kicked over when he sat up from his resting place. Once he was standing he snuck into the center of camp hoping he could play off the mistake as some sort of late night hunt or he’d filled a warriors spot for patrol and was just exhausted and slept in late but he was sure the ever observant Dante would be able to tell beyond his lies.

Once in the social area of the camp an overwhelming amount of hideousness filled his nose but he couldn’t quite tell what it was. It was just then that Manny noticed one of the packs fighters, and father, make their way to the elders den looking alert like he was prepared for something to happen so curious wondering if he was heading to the source of the odd hideous feeling he felt in chest Manny followed quickly behind Louie. Once inside the den he gasped softly at the sight of Death, which is the harsh reality that all things must end and all those who live must accept that fate. Manny only heard the back half of a comment made by Scythe which to manny seemed a bit heartless while staring at the deceased face of a wolf because even he could recall a positive memory or two from the elderly wolf.

His heart sank at the sight how was his day suppose to recover after such a sight. A thought came to mind and he figured since he was lazy and missed his hunting duties, which he assumed was true because he was the only hunter still within the camp grounds, that he would offer his assistance in a burial ceremony or some other form of disposing of a corpse perhaps that could make up for his absence from the squad.
