Flowerstar -- she-cat -- leader -- tagged: Isopodstar [SquidClan]
- The time had come for the clan to leave, and Flowerstar felt a bit nervous at having come without working up the nerve to talk to someone. It was looking over at Bearpaw that gave her the conviction to start a last minute conversation, seeing the spark in his eyes and how happy he was to learn about someone else. Taking a moment to herself, she gave her clanmates looking at her a signal to hang tight for just a little bit longer, most of them gathering near the edge of the small crowd to wait, while Bearpaw continued to talk.
Flowerstar turned to the first leader she saw in the circle that wasn't already engaged with conversation, giving a short nod as she sat a respectable distance away. "Seemed like only a few clans here this moon..." She started, blinking over at the other cat, hoping her hunch was right and they had been here before... Or else she was about to make a fool of herself. "Are the gatherings usually this small?" She asked in genuine curiosity. "If you've been here before, that is..." she trailed off, ducking her head a bit, realizing she didn't want to assume. "I'm Flowerstar, by the way," she introduced herself. "MeadowClan is a somewhat new clan, and we haven't been to one of these before."
Scuapstream -- nonbinary -- Medicine Cat -- tagged: Bramblinglight [SeaClan]
The young medicine cat blinked over at their conversational partner, giving her a soft nod and a smile. "Of course," Scuapstream chimed softly, settling down into their paws and tucking them underneath their belly as a sign of welcome. "I've never been to one of these before," Scuapstream said as a way to break the ice. "Is this your first time too? Or have you been here before? I'm Scuapstream, by the way," they smiled. "I come from a clan called MeadowClan."
Urchinstorm -- tom -- Warrior -- tagged: open
The tom resisted a sigh as he followed Flowerstar into this gathering. He hated that he was selected to go, even if the fact brought him pride. He was trusted, but he truly did not want to deal with potential energetic cats. He just wanted a down to earth conversation. With the thought in mind that he might end up in a conversation with someone he didn't want, he kept a scowl on his face, hoping to scare away apprentices or overly enthusiastic warriors.
Bearpaw -- tom -- Apprentice -- tagged: Verglaspaw [Evergreen Park]
Nodding along, kneading the ground in delight as he listened to the other cat, Bearpaw felt his eyes shine with excitement. "Trainee honestly sounds a lot cooler than apprentice! I've always felt apprentice sounds like the warriors can ask us to do whatever they want and we'll have to obey them because we are learning or something," he laughed. "The other cats in my clan, and my mentor especially, doesn't really understand why it matters so much since it's just a word but I like meanings," he rambled, flicking his tail a bit. He took a pause, not wanting to sound rude. "It's nice to meet you Verglaspaw!" He took another pause, considering her question.
"I'm actually just about to take my warrior assessment! Mudleg says I'll be ready next moon to try for it. I'm excited because I really want to earn a new name and prove myself as a strong warrior, 'cause a lot of cats first thought I'd be a terrible warrior because of my shorter legs," he said simply, shifting his legs a little. "But I've proved them wrong," he said, a glint in his eyes.
Another pause, and Bearpaw stopped for a second. "I'm sorry I'm rambling," he said sheepishly. "I'm just so excited to learn about another clan and meet another apprentice!"

Midnightstar -- she-cat -- Leader -- tagged: open
Midnightstar felt at ease, knowing her clan was growing. She wanted to touch base with another leader, to hear how other clan's were faring. Her spirits were bright as she made her way to the center, letting her paws guide her.
Cocoastep -- tom -- Deputy -- tagged: open
The deputy was bored. He didn't keep the tired and somewhat unhappy look off of his face. He closed his eyes for a moment, thinking of his mate, who had just told him he was expecting kits. Smiling just a little, Cocoastep kept his eyes closed as he thought about his future kits, nerves dancing through his stomach at the thought of being a dad.
Snowpetal -- she-cat -- Warrior -- tagged: open
Snowpetal felt a little nervous, being at the gathering, but also giddy that Midnightstar hadn't abandoned her and still trusted her to come alongside her and Cocoastep. Snowpetal paced around the gathering, not really stopping herself to make conversation, hoping someone would approach her as she looked around.
