The reddish-brown haired one hummed as they thought of this shop they'd heard of, and the interesting keeper of said shop. They'd heard there were some dogs there, which were referred to as shop dogs, and then there were ones for adopt. There were always new ones coming in, so Ami decided they might as well check the place out. Maybe they could also find some way to be of use to said shop owner, as they liked to help others, listen to their problems, tell stories, make food. There were so many things they could, and would, do, and it would make them feel happy if others were happy. Shaking their head, they hummed again, then they pulled on a light jacket as it was raining today, lightly of course.
They grabbed their bag, which had their phone, charger, money, ID, and other such essentials in it, and they slipped their keys in there. They put the bag over their shoulder, the strap actually over their head and shoulder. It sat against their neck and back, securing the bag so it wouldn't fall and wouldn't be able to be stolen away by anyone. They headed out the door after making sure it was locked up, closing the door behind them and heading down to the road. They headed down the street, and headed in the direction they'd been told this shop was at. They walked for a bit of time, until they saw a structure in the distance and nodded to their self, figuring that must be the place.
They headed up to the place, and greeted the shop keeper with a "Hello."
They told him they wanted to help, so he gave them a choice, and they chose to clean a kennel.
When he told them they could pick which one, they lit up.
He took them to the back, and they were immediately drawn to a white and minimally cream/golden marked one.
The shopkeeper told them this one was named Mirage, and was a male Salawa.
They nodded and said "He's very nice to look at."
The shopkeeper laughed, watching Mirage wag his tail a bit.
The shopkeeper said Mirage was thanking Ami, then he left Ami to it.
Ami entered the kennel with ease, as Mirage didn't seem to want to escape, though some dogs and other canines might. Ami smiled and praised the dog, then looked to the little shelter that had a bed and blanket inside of it. They pulled out the blanket and bed, brought them outside the kennel and went to find where cleans ones were. They made note of that and headed back, moving the hut so they could clean up the kennel first, and once that was finished they smiled. They went to where the beds, blankets, and other such things were, getting a clean bed and blanket. They brought those back as well as another toy, as Mirage seemed to have chewed up the one he'd already had in there.
Ambery eyes watched the human as they worked, and they smiled as they paused a moment to pat him, then put the bed and blanket in the hut/shelter. They'd already moved it back after cleaning up the kennel, and now they turned to the food and water. They went and got food to fill the bowl, but didn't know if the Salawa was really hungry at this point. They then filled the water and brought it back, placing it where it had been and smiling at the Salawa. He drank a bit then barked at them, and they smiled as they patted him again then thought a bit on what they'd been told to do.they just needed to play with him a bit now, so they grabbed the rope toy and ball they'd brought for him to play with.
They threw the ball, and he ran to grab it and bring it back.
"Good boy," they praised, taking the ball and throwing it again.
They threw it ten more times, and he fetched it ten more times.
After that, he laid down for a bit to rest, but then was up again.
They took the pull toy now, and held one end out to him.
He growled playfully and grabbed the end they weren't holding.
They tugged at the toy, playing together some more.
After ten to fifteen minutes, he seemed tired out and went to the shelter to lie down.
Ami smiled and said "Good bye, Mirage."
They left the toy there and stepped out, going to tell the shopkeeper Mirage was now sleeping.
They told him they'd done everything he'd asked.
They then headed off after he gave the okay.
(Will do scavenging and meet a new friend next, then stocking shelves which...will be my last one because then I'll have done all of em except the sports time one)
