Not sure if it's ever been mentioned but a summer or Christmas dog rescue event I think could be cool, and a great way to spread awareness, easier pets, can be normal breeds, mixed breeds, old dogs, disabled dogs, puppies, etc. Higher value pets could be based of of mythical dogs or something?

I know the summer event is a little more versatile but I also don't think around Christmas would be the worst because people often buy puppies without research and then end up rehoming them, so I sorta thought that could line up.

This is a great idea!!

I also think mini-events like World Ocean day and things like that should appear more often. Even if it's 1 pet or item I think it would be awesome. I just found out 'Alice in Wonderland' Day is on July 4th.
World Snake Day is July 16th.
July 17th is World Emoji day! There are so many pet/item options for these days, I think maybe doing 1 a month at the very least [so that there are more for upcoming years] would be really cool!

I was not there, I forgot the site existed for that. Maybe it can be tied into one involving gods. But whoever would be in charge would need to make up their own, as some people here have patron deities. That might be offensive to someone. So then there would be Yoldar the goddess of storms, wrestling and queens, in place of a chief deity

Summer event settings could be...
A yokai/ghost village with a hot spring hotel serviced by sparrows and snow monkeys could be interesting.

Mountain exploring with yetis, base camps, various wildlife, yaks, glaciers, skiing, abandoned mines, gold panning, etc.

Alternatively, a western setting as suggested by others could have abandoned mines and gold panning, classic mine car nonsense, mules/donkey, bats, and pack rats.

For next Endangered Species day, can we get some more Axolotl pets? I don't think we have very many (afaik it's just the cave event)

What ever is the opposite of camping, do that for the week. What is the opposite? Working? City tourism ? What can you do inside ? That is a hard one

Lunar New Year: Since 2024 is the year of the dragon, I would absolutely love for the mini event release to have a litter of Eastern dragons which start out in fish eggs and koi-like (doesn't have to be Malk lines, could be koi-inspired Eastern dragon stages) and with each stage they grow more dragonlike until the final elder stage. Ideally each stage would have a split and we'd have one PPS of each stage and then the others would keep growing. This is based on a well-known story in Chinese folklore of koi turning into dragons in order to get over a waterfall.

A strange multiverse mash-up of past Summer events would be neat. The pets could be April fools-like, age-swapped, and cross-over litters. Some of the places could have fun little lore updates. Mixed items would be kind of wild to see.

A comic book summer event could also be fun with CS heros, villains, sidekicks, secret hideouts, comic styles, etc.

I came here to suggest something like this past idea actually! With so many summer events gone by it would be fun to have one that was a call back to all the previous ones, and had a few new pets and items from each theme.
