i don't want to sound disappointed, ungrateful or demanding, but it makes me really sad that it's another year when in one litter we get 2 lesbian flags' inspired pets and none with strictly gay men flag. currently in mainstream popculture lesbians are much more visible while gay men are still underrepresented and it upsets me that they are kinda omitted even in the community that should remember about them best.
i know we have other pets with those colors but in this situation it's like adding a demigirl flag but forgetting about a demiboy flag.

to not make it too gloomy: i'm happy for the rats, they're very pretty. i'm probably so sad because they are so beautiful that i would like more of them.

as i said: i know there are OTHER pets. i talk specifically of the rats as they have 2 lesbian flags variations AND the flag with a flower and they do not have the strict gay flags (also 2 variations) - it bothers me as i have a feeling that the artists didn't think they are important...

I have a feeling it's due to the "controversy" and CS generally walking on tiptoes on anything remotely controversial among online queer people. Hence why the gay male flag item was only added a year later after the original flag set in 2021, and why there's two pansexual flag versions. I think a gay male/Cinthean/Turian mouse would've been so cute. And unrelated but yes I totally agree, I hope the pride mice make a return.

Hence why the gay male flag item was only added a year later after the original flag set in 2021, and why there's two pansexual flag versions. I think a gay male/Cinthean/Turian mouse would've been so cute. And unrelated but yes I totally agree, I hope the pride mice make a return.

i didn't know about the controversy around the gay flag - i only heard that it's not widely recognized because it was just made to be a visual counterpart for the lesbian flag (with no additional meaning), but is there anything else?

i also support the idea of returning pride mice. :O i'm still waiting for some small pic of gender nonconforming flag - it's cool we got the pony with these colors! <3

Also, I generally just really love the vibe of the pink flower mouse. But what is a sapphic? Or what is sapphic, I'm sorry if I butchered the grammar there lol! Love the mice so much !

LESBIAN MICE YESSSSSSSS these are one of my favorite linearts on the whole site so i'm so excited!!! also kind of hoping for some lesbian caterpillars, the colors are juuuuuust similar enough to get my hopes up hehehe

Sapphic is an umbrella term for all women (and nonbinary ppl who feel they fit under the label!) who like women in some way! So lesbians, bi and pan women and nby ppl etc. It's kind of like a sibling term to wlw :]
