Ember padded across the wet stone, her swaying belly dragging at her. It was hard work hunting alone, and she was tired, but she was also determined. For she was expecting kits. Ember's mate had died, so she now was left to hunt. A lot. An expecting queen
needed lots of food. Her soft spotted ear perked up at the smell of...Rats. If she was careful, she could have a nice
meal. Creeping quietly forward, keeping her tail
above the ground, Ember waited.

The rat shot out.

Ember leaped.

SQUEEAK! Ember just missed the rat. She watched, dismayed, as it scurried away.
Worst of all, it had squeaked loud enough to scare every creature between here and Log Cabin.
She shouldn't have missed that catch. She hadn't eaten in days.
She needed to keep up her energy to keep her and her kits alive.

(Then shes found but thats too long lol)
