Lady ran to the pups and dropped the rabbit. "Eat this" she softly commanded, panted. She stood still to catch her breath. She looked over at carmen, her expression hard to read. She curled her tail around the pups.

Kingston
He gulped down several bites of rabbit, then left the rest for Dutchess. He snarled at Carmen. Despite his age, he was large and his voice was deep.

Dutchess was awake now but couldnt move to eat she had been hurt badly when she hit the tree.

[Fauraline]

James lunged to carmen's throat for the pups that were dead. Fury in his eyes, he actually liked pups. He bit down her neck and barked while he held.

Lady put her long, bushy tail around the pups, struggling to do so, she put her body around them, licking their fur for comfort. She did this in case they were cold. She would go hunting again but she didn't want to leave the pups.

Carmen let out a loud yelp."You....know...i....only....did....this....because.....i....was..... jealous..." she muttered before she took her last breath and died.

Dutchess looked around and tried to move but whimpered with the slightest movement.

Izzy watched as Carmen died. "She wanted pups of her own... but no one would love her..." she muttered. She looked at Dutchess and Kingston. "Welcome to the group, pups. We'll teach you street smarts. Luke, wanna help me teach them how to sing?

[Laughter]

Luke looks back at Carmen and says "I don't care why she did it.There's more important things to learn" he says waling over, blood on his muzzle. "first teach show them who they can trust, then tell them safe places, water and such. then teach them to hunt." he says harshly looking back at the dead puppy. He pads over and digs a hole, big enough for the puppy and he picks the puppy up in his mouth and sets him down and whispers "you could have been my pup, or my sibling." he says softly.He burries the pup and says to himself " he had a mother, siblings." he closes his eyes and shaks his head. He felt no remorse.

She watched Luke.

Lady licked the pups more "They're safe with me and James, but we can live anywhere...i just don't want the pups hurt...ill teach them how to control anger and ways to lose somebody when running. Or even how to not let a rabbit hear you when you're hunting or something.."

James let go of Carmen and padded over. "I agree Luke...we also must teach them to fight. They're growing fast. This might as well be a pack...but where will they sleep at?" James questioned.

Duchess finally was able to sit up and talk. "Brother are you ok?" She asked weakly.She was worried about her brother more than herself even though her back and head were in terrible pain and she was barely holding back her tears.
