long ago, a group of cats formed a clan at the base of a volcano, attracted to the fresh, succulent pine forest that was blossoming after an eruption seven years prior. they say that through the ashes of a volcano comes the most fertile land, afterall. thus, volcanoclan was born, a group of hardy felines who pride themselves in being fearless and resiliant. decades have passed since an eruption, but volcanoclan's luck will soon run out... the medicine cat has received ominous message from starclan, while clan members are starting to sense a shift in the earth beneath them. the cats of volcanoclan must first escape the explosion of lava, and those who make it out in one piece must make a treacherous journey to find a new home after decades of living in peace without the involvement of twolegs and other clans.

territory: volcanoclan's home territory is in a pine forest at the base of the volcano. a river runs through the end of their territory furthest from the volcano, forming their border. the camp is an area of dense undergrowth, with the leaders den being at the base of a rock, the medicine cat den being inside a large, hollowed tree, and the nursery, apprentice's, elder's, and warriors' dens being dugouts beneath large bushes. the cats hunt rodents and birds most frequently, sometimes fish from the river.

weather: currently sunny with a warm breeze

plot information: the volcanic eruption will begin on page 5 of the roleplay, giving us all time to develop our characters a bit before chaos ensues. then, the cats will be forced to find a new territory, as the pine forest is on fire. they will make a journey, experiencing twolegs and other cats for the first time, and the survivors will reside in a new territory.

history: infernostar was born to plumflame and sprucepelt, two volcanoclan warriors. he was raised with his sister, cinderstream. he has always been protective over his sister, keeping a close eye on her, though at the same time tries to encourage her to step up. he wants her to be the best version of herself, but he can come off as pushy or critical of her to her face. when it comes to how he talks about her to others, though, its undeniable how much he cares about cinderstream. he went through apprenticeship taking his training a little too serious, and became the deputy at 35 moons. he became leader after the death of thistlestar 5 moons later and has lost 3 lives (badger attack, tree falling, combat with a rogue).

stoneflower is a slightly larger than average molly, with most of her size represented by her well kept pelt. she takes pride in her appearance and is hardly ever seen ungroomed. her put together appearance is often intimidating to others, however she is anything but intimidating after speaking with her. under all that fur is a compassionate and warmhearted cat that just wants everyone to be loved. she will often go above and beyond for her clanmates when they are feeling low. she can be very passionate about what she believes in, and often finds it difficult to admit when she is wrong.

the dark tabby molly was born to loners, but was taken in by the clan at a very young age. she was raised by a few different queens, passing her throughout the nursery. Plumface was the nicest to her, and she held a strong bond with Infernostar as they grew up. it was only until just recently that she realized her feelings for him were deeper than just a simple friendship. stoneflower has yet to mention these feelings to anyone, and is still deciding what to do.

wolftalon has always been known for how introverted he is, often sticking to the back of training when he was an apprentice and not liking drawing much attention to himself. he has always been the most soft spoken warrior the clan has, but his dedication and passion is what drove Infernostar to name him deputy. while he was very skeptical at first if he would be a good fit, he has settled into his role very well; thriving on the structure. he loves his clanmates and constantly strives to do the most he can for them. he does find himself the butt of most jokes for how often he falls for tricks, but it doesn't bother him at all. in his mind, even if he is a point to be laughed at, it is still doing something to uplift the clan.

wolftalon was the biggest kit out of 4 in his litter. after a season of greencough, his siblings fell terribly ill and one passed away before they could become apprentices. he has one brother and one sister ( open to be played if someone wants ) whom he is very close with. he often relies on them when he needs to recharge after a long day, finding comfort in their chatter.

wolftalons parents are both in starclan, having succumb to old age and illness.

frostflight is an intelligent and smart mouthed little molly, who got into trouble quite a lot while she was an apprentice. she struggled to maintain friendships with the other cats her age, primarily because she doesn't know when to shut her maw. she often says too much, and will talk anyones ear off if they let her. her tendency to info dump also causes her to say things and not sugar coat them, which has also gotten her into her fair shares of a pickle.
she is a small molly, and this had the other warriors thinking she would not amount to much, however she is very quick on her feet. she earned her surname due to her ability to catch up to rabbits with ease. she can turn on a dime in the middle of a sprint, and can easily outrun the fastest of predators and prey.

frostflight grew up in the clan as an only kit to fairly unremarkable parents. they were simple warriors who have now retired and are living their best lives as elders, she was their last litter together due to several failed attempts before at having kits.

she currently does not have a crush on anyone, and has a pretty bleak out look on ever finding love.

aspenshade is one of those toms that exudes confidence. he has not yet failed in his short warrior career and uses that to boost himself up. he also has not yet had anyone call him out on his ways, so his 'holier than thou' attitude continues throughout the day to day activies of him and his clanmates. it isn't quite clear where he obtained this way of thinking, but it does tend to get on some of the elder warriors nerves. he, however, has yet to notice this.

he can be quite the jerk, however it truly doesn't come from a place of hate. deep down he does want to be the best he can be ; he just judges others when they don't seem to be trying hard enough. ( or to his standards ) once he gets kicked down a peg or two, this tom would be an amazing warrior and companion.

aspenshade came to the clan as a young outsider, when he was 7 moons. he quickly picked up on his warrior training and made his warrior ceremony with less time than most. he recieved a lot of praise from his mentor and it inflated his head a bit; only adding to his growning ego.

he has a small crush on ashenfall, but is unsure if it would ever amount to anything.
