_Rowan grinned at the pup's enthusiasm. "Thank you, Thane." He trotted over to the carcass and peeled a large piece of meat from the hindquarters. He set it down for a moment as the wind shifted. It was a familiar scent, one that he couldn't quite place... "Stormfire? Is that you?" He called out. It seemed like the scent of that family, but he wasn't positive.

Thane watched King Rowan. When he called what seemed to be a family name, he raised his head and sniffed the air has well. There! He could smell. It smelled of wolf, but not one he knew. He sat down and awaited to meet more of the pack.

Adele, hearing the Prince calling their family name, jumped up and darted out of the bushes, not waiting for her sister's instructions. She was far too happy that he recognized them. She stopped a few feet away, mostly quivering in excitement.

Callista smiled and shook her head, standing up with her brother and padding out. "Nice to see you, (Prince"?) Rowan."

((King. He was just coronated.))

_He bowed his head. "Callista. It is a relief to see you." He turned and looked down at Adele. "And who are you, little one?" he asked. She must have been born after the Great Battle, he thought.

Callista smiled, bowing her head. "You too, Rowan."

Adele looked up at Rowan, having to take a few steps back, standing next to her sister. "I'm Adele." she said, with a quick wag of her tail. She looked at Callista and Adair. "How do you two know him?" she said, gesturing to the male wolf.

"We were part of the same pack...before the battle..." Adair replied to his younger sister. He turned to look at Rowan and smiled, dipping his head in resepct. "It is nice to see you again, Rowan."

_"And you, Adair." He bent to Adele's eye level. "Pleased to meet you, Lady." He turned to the carcass. "Adair, would you mind helping me bring this back to camp?" The big male grabbed the right antler. He'd heard that most wolves did not bring back their kills, but this was not a pack; it was a kingdom, and they used as much of the elk as they could.

[abandoned.]

Adair nodded. "Of course I will." He padded over to the other antler and grabbed it with his jaws.

Callista looked at both the males. "Do you need any more help?" she asked.

Adele watched them, standing next to her sister. She was happy. They finally found their old friends. Her mother, father, Callista and Adair, had all told her a lot about the days when they were all together. Before she was born.

Alvena Icefall~Apothecary

Alvena stopped and peered out through the tall-growing trees at the group of wolves. Ah, I see that they have been successful in their hunt. A good catch, for an elk will feed many wolves. A good omen, perhaps? I can only hope that my dreams will say the same. Stepping out in full view, she slowly made her way towards King Rowan. Normally she would not make herself known unless she was planning to bargain for food, but she wanted to pay her respects to the new ruler.

_Rowan shook his head at Callista, then looked up at the approaching apothecary. "Greetings, Alvena," he said, bowing his head in respect. "Would you like some elk? We have plenty to spare."

Alvena dipped her head at Rowan gratefully, nodded, and took a strip of the fresh meat. "Thank you. The favor shall be returned. " She gazed at him for a moment. "May the Spirit Kings look favorably on you, young ruler. I wish you a long and successful reign."
