Artist Applications are currently closed!

We're looking for full time and guest artists! The closing date for applications will be April 29th.
There are a few simple rules to follow, going against them will have your application ignored.

Mod positions are open as well, preferable with a little bit of past experience! Message me if you're interested.

A note on artists: You'll be expected to work on item applications as well! You're welcome to
opt out or instead request to just work on item applications, leave a note in your entry!

Rules

- Do not remove the "fake aero" watermark, but you're allowed to move it around.

- You can make as many entries as you like, but we'd like to see at least one without
edits and one with as a minimum.

- Designs have to be original, they cannot copy an existing character or aero.

- You're welcome to expand the canvas for bigger designs.

- The "pose" should still be similar to the base and parts of the original lineart should
still be present.

- Line edits are welcome, and encouraged! But we'd like to still have the wispy
formations somewhere on the design.

- Shading and sparkle layers are optional, but shading is preferred.

- You can remove/add your own sparkles, they do not have to look like the base given.

- Do not share your application outside of this thread (after posting is okay!) and do not
pass off the lineart as your own.

I made a couple of each! On base:

This was my first one, because the theme made me think of galaxy! All the dots and stars I made look good too so I'm proud of it!
with this one, I just really like the colorful contrast on greys! I also really wanted to do something with a face pattern like that so 👀
Now for the line edits!

I made a moon bunny and I love her! These Aeros just make me think of soft, wispy little magic creatures, and so I wanted to do a lop bunny themed one!
for this one I knew I wanted to do something with lots of wings, and it turned into me messing with pastels and colored lineart :3 I also made the wisps in the eye so that it was still present! I wanted to do an ethereal theme, but this also looks cool and is similar!
Why you want to be an artist for Aeros: Being an artist for an UMA is something I've always wanted since my discovery of them and my first UMA, Wermz! I also run the UMA Flutter-Friends since it was something I really wanted to do And on top of that it would be fun to dedicate and be a part of this community!! I also love the Aeros so much and have been jiggling in my seat in anticipation!! I'd love to be a part of this <33

Why you want to be an artist for Aeros: I'm actually a artist for a couple other uma's so im just applying for the guest position! I enjoy making designs and it brings me joy to see others enjoying them, so id love to make some guest Aeros for the community to enjoy ^v^

Why you want to be an artist for Aeros: I wish to be an artist because I enjoy it, I enjoy making things for people, I enjoy seeing the reactions, and excitement, and watching a community grow, it's a great feeling and experience. Plus I love these lines so much.

Explanation: In Order- First girl is just a lil' koi pond edit. Love the fish in her tail and think it's a fun unique characteristic. Second girl is just a purple girl, the butterfly at the top of her would be an item! A butterfly headpiece. The third girl is based on Starry Night, did my best to mimic the idea of an oil painting! Instead of sparkles/shimmers she has the yellow to mimic the stars in the painting. Fourth is slightly based on a phoenix, wing markings on her along with fire-like wisps. Fifth is (I now know not the kind of line-art changes that you want) but I just wanted to make an aero with pink on it. The last girl is my favorite! She is based on a tiger shark and has a lil cowboy hat item on her.

Why you want to be an artist for Aeros:
I would like to be an artist for Aeros for multiple reasons. First and most importantly, man are they cute. This is one of the top tier UMA's I have seen, so it definitely falls at the top of my list for a reason. Secondly, I am a new mom to a two month old little girl, (my sweet, sweet baby) so I happen to have all the extra time to join an artist group! I am in no rush to go back to work so even more free time while my little one naps and I have been picking back up my ipad like crazy lately (and finally made a toyhou.se ! nothing is on it yet but I plan to fill that in soon !) Third, I'm in the Wermz discord and seeing everyone go crazy for their Wermz, and how excited they get for giveaways and open commissions- I just want to be a part of a community that has such an amazing fanbase that I could provide them with excitement and characters! I would prefer to be an artist but I am open to guest artist as well! I'm even open to being a mod if my designs aren't what you guys are looking for! I just want to be a part of the community!!
Overall, I love the excitement for UMA's and I would love to get into one starting from start and be able to help create such a loving and exciting community! Since joining the discord and Aero's starting- everyone has been so kind to me. You guys are all such amazing and kind staff members and get along so well, you guys are just the kind of people I would choose to work closely with <3

flower fairy type thing 0u0 at the beginning i got inspiration from listening to melanie's portals album but as i kept going it evolved into this, which kinda makes sense since i love all things plants <3

Space Cowboy by Jamiroquai was my muse, this one is my no edits entry i honestly love it cause the colours are very brain-scratchy to me ^^ i took the sparkle layer and added it all over because pretty sparkles =] [edit: i didn't see that celia did a galaxy/space based one too i'm sorry about that i wasn't meaning to repeat a theme </3]
Why you want to be an artist for Aeros:
i want to make things for other people to enjoy <3 the species is really cute and everyone seems super nice so i'd love to be able to help out however i can and make litters ! i think it'll help push me to making better art and stuff knowing that i have a community that wants to see it ! i hope that maybe ygs'll give me a chance but i understand if not and will still love being part of the community, whoever gets chosen to be artists will do a great job !
