"You're the reason it's beating.." he said softly, a tear slipping down his cheek as he said so. Looking away he blushed a bit as his heart began to beat faster, indicating his embarrassment. Although he wouldn't trade it for the world.

Maddie blushed and wiped his tear away. " Your the reason mine is beating as well. " She knew it was a weak comeback but she wanted to somehow express how she felt. She stared at her hand on his chest and smiled softly.

Soren blushed and looked away when she wiped his tear, a bit embarrassed that he started crying in the first place. "I'm glad, I will always protect and love you" he said genuinely.

Running his nimble fingers through her silky hair he pressed his lips against hers in a passionate kiss. Pulling away he gently stroked her cheek with his thumb and sighed, holding her close.

Maddie froze slightly at the display of affection, still not used to the feeling she got from it. She blushed and closed her eyes, sighing happily as she smiled softly. She opened her eyes and looked at him with an adoration so pure it was almost as if she believed she were staring at a god. She couldn't explain the feeling in her chest at the moment, but she knew it was a good one, something she was still getting used to.

What would she be doing at this moment if she weren't with Soren? She had no idea. She could feel his heart beating, just as hard as hers.
