Nodding the blond chuckled and rested his hands on top of hers, ordering the same thing he moved off to the side to wait. Keeping her close he rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb, taking in a deep breath as he watched her hands move with his breathing.

Maddie had kept her face buried in his chest, embarrassed and shy as they waited.

Holding her close the blond stroked her hair with one hand and rubbed her back with the other. "It's okay.. you're okay.." he whispered gently, hoping to calm her down a bit. Soon the vendor motioned towards Soren and handed him both orders, the blond taking them and handing the other cash. Holding the items in one arm he led her over to a nearby bench and had her sit.

Maddie glanced at him before she hid her face one more, until he left to grab the food. When he came back she sat down and nibbled on the food, shy and embarrassed at the fact that she was out in public relying on someone else. This used to be one of her neighborhoods she used to steal from, so she was sure someone would recognize her.

Resting a hand gently on her thigh the blond stayed close to her protectively. "Don't worry.. I won't let anything happen to you.." he said, a determined tone to his voice. Quietly eating he was relieved to finally have something in his stomach, becoming a bit zoned out.

Maddie zoned out and nodded, eating her hot dog and fries silently as she stared at her feet.

Blinking and shaking his head the blond soon became alert again, his eyes constantly darting from one stranger to another. He was determined to keep her safe, no matter what happened to him. Once he finished he pulled Maddie onto his lap and wrapped his arms protectively around her, resting his chin on her shoulder. "Mine.." he mumbled.

Maddie was surprised when he pulled her onto his lap and called her his. However she blushed and finished eating. She noticed one person in particular watching her and realized it was someone she used to know. She lowered her gaze and nuzzled Soren, not wanting to talk with anyone but Soren right now.

Keeping her close he noticed someone looking at them and narrowed his eyes, anger sparkling within the depths of his ruby red eyes. Pulling his lips back in a snarl he kept her close, hoping to scare the stranger off.
