This outcome appears to have just turned rare with the most recent (February) rarity update!

Sorry if this is a dumb question but how could this bunny turn from VR to rare? I mean, it's a store pet!
Did so many users delete their accounts that there are now less users per one bunny and it turned rare again?

Often a pet will go down in rarity if a lot of players return from hiatus and therefore bringing their accounts back to active mode. Then their pets are counted again for rarity. This is most commonly seen in the update after December when so many return for Dec 18.

Other than the above, deleted accounts would mean fewer people, making the bunny more common. Though I think that's what you meant. To help:

1 bunny, 10 users, 1:10
two users accounts get deleted, now it's 1:8. The one bunny is available to a pool of 8 people instead of 10, making it more common.

From what I've seen, empty accounts (no pets, no items) get deleted in waves so you can look and find empty accounts now that are counting toward the user limit as long as they have logged in recently. Since December was a few months away, rarity droops are more likely to be from the explanation above. It would be interesting to see when these rarity drops happen and take record of them.
