I feel like I missed something- why is the valintines lioness going for so much?? I saw her sold for 100c$ and am confused haha xD

Because it's a lion, and also happens to be the most uncommon one of the bunch. A lot of people (myself included) didn't even get one in their own adopts. I managed to get one with just a straight 1:1 swap with a friend, but sadly not everyone is as fortunate.

I'm half tempted to trade for as many lions as possible, and gift them all to people who don't have it. I did that for the banner pets on Halloween, I was unfortunate to trade for the banner pets then suddenly get a few from the banner, so I gifted all the extras I got. C:

oh yep I bet you're right. I'm not sure why my brain went straight to 'vanilla' but star anise looks spot-on to me.

When the reindeer bats came out, Rudolph was just as hyped as the lion.
He turned out uncommon...

The rarity could have caused some people to not get it, like how Rudolph bat and the PPS Halloween snake were just a pain to get.

There’s a very small chance for everyone to get a zebra instead of one of their monthly horses. They’re pretty valuable

Yes. It’s a little like Dec 18 where we get old rares and new Ultra Rares, except it can happen any month. Only the horses have a chance for a special release
