He padded quickly and silently to Rowan's side, his ears pricked listening to his signals. He swung his gaze to the elk herd, their large brown bodies were a welcome sight tot he hungry male. His eyes alight with hunger and anticipation, he waited for Rowan to choose which elk to take down. His eyes roamed the herd searching for a weak or sick animal that would provide a welcome meal. His nose twitched with the warm musky smell of elk, and their heavy stamping and swishnig of heads and feet. He crouched ready to go.

Seeing so many of her packmates take off after Rowan and Tristen, she decided to also follow. Her stomach growled hungrily as she ran, letting her long strides eat up the ground to catch up with Tristen and Rowan. She slid to a stop as the familiar musky smell of elk wafted into her nostrils and soon enough she could see and hear them. She padded closer to Rowan, awaiting her King's orders.

Estelle ducked up from under a bush, taking the buck by surprise. She lept at it, taking hold of it's shoulder. It wasn't enough to take him down completely, but enough to slow him down. Estelle held tightly onto the bucks shoulder muscle with her large jaws, growling in strain of holding on.

Alvena Icefall~~Apothecary

Alvena placed the fresh herbs outside on a flat rock, where they would remain for several days until the the warm sun dried them. At a slow pace she began to hobble down the slope that led from her den to where the forest grew thickly. This was where she would find many herbs, seeds, and other plants to be used for healing purposes, as well as flowers to decorate the rather drab inside of her den.

As the downward slope leveled out and the trees crept closer together, Alvena tucked her crippled leg tight up against her underbelly. Her slow, seemingly weak steps become a fairly swift hopping gait. This was the fastest way for her to get anywhere; while she could put a certain amount of weight on her disfigured limb, it hindered her movement because of its twisted position and the pain which still lingered.

She raised her head to the wind and breathed in deeply, "tasting" the air for scent of the plants she had come to gather-or really, anything that could be useful to her. Instead, she caught the smells of a hunt. Wolves, determined, confident. Prey, alarmed and frightened, but equally determined to escape, to live.

_Rowan slammed into the buck's hindquarter's, causing it to stumble. It's momentum carried it through the air and smashing into the ground, letting loose a distressed bugle.

After what seemed a long time to Adele, they finally caught three rabbits, one for each of them. They stopped where they were and bent their heads down to eat, Callista finishing first, then Adair, while Adele took her time, savoring the taste. She was always the last one to finish, unless she was in a hurry or in a race. Finally, when they finished, they began padding forward again, Callista and Adair stopping every now and then to make sure they were headed in the right way.

_Rowan leapt over the fallen elk and placed a paw on it's neck. "Elk, I will not disrespect your spirit. I eat your flesh and it gives me power. I take your marrow and it makes my bone's strong. Your pelt will keep our dens warm in the wintertime." The great beast struggled, but the King placed his weight on it's neck, holding him down. "We thank you for your sacrifice, giver of life. Run safely with the stars, brother." With the end of the prayer Rowan ended it's life, tearing out the buck's throat. He turned to the belly and tore it open, eating the liver. He stepped back for Estelle.

The dark male ran closer as the new King finished his prayer. He was going to jump in and aide in taking down the large elk, but his packmates had succeeded in subduing the animal rather quickly. Slowing, he approached, hovering a few yards away from the fresh kill, licking his chops eagerly, but knowing his place and though starving, willing to wait for his turn. His nose breathed in the enticing scent and he was tempted to come closer and force his way in, but that was against the pack code. He flicked his ears and sat watching for his turn to enjoy the feast, licking his jowls.

:Arianna Bloodheart:
There wasn't any need of her jaws or teeth to bring the elk down and she was disappointed, she would have relished the feel of her jaws closing on a leg or its dark pelt. She padded to a halt, slinking even further from Tristen to await her turn at the fresh kill. She watched Rowan and Estelle hungrily partake of the flesh she could now smell. The sickly sweet scent of blood made her nose quiver and she licked her chops, waiting as the scent tempted her mercilessly.
