I have been seeing people offer up to 50c$ for the Valentine's Day lioness??? How can we be sure it will end up being worth that much before everyone has even adopted their event pets or seen the rarity outcome??

Very close! They’re actually supposed to be Grape Hyacinths!
I was looking up blue flowers and I thought they had such a fun and interesting shape.
It was a little difficult to capture in such a small canvas though I’m sorry!

I love it! They do look like grapes, so I can see where the name came from.
Are you basing the flower rats on wildflowers near where you live, or just ones you like? My mind went to bluebells because those are common near me, and it looks like grape hyacinths wouldn't grow anywhere near me (not in my US state at all!)
I really love these rats because I love finding, photographing, and identifying wildflowers! I actually got a wildflower field guide for my state on Christmas, so this was pretty fitting lol

I based them on flowers that I like not just ones that grow near me, though that would have been a cool idea!

It's more just that people are trying to complete collections as quickly as possible, so they're willing to overpay by fairly substantial amounts just so they don't have to search forever. Not to mention the rampant inflation of C$, so 50 C$ isn't really as much as it used to be. But that's a different topic. ^^"

Not only the lioness, some people want ridiculous overpay for normal pets too.
I tried swapping a macaw egg with someone and they canceled with: no, overpay in WL or C$ only!

It's not rare, it just has crazy demand because a) It's a lion, and b) while some people got more than one, a whole lot of others didn't get any. The swap thread is evidence enough of that.

I feel like that might have just been bad luck. ^^" There's always going to be at least a few traders who want overpay most of the time. Not to mention the macaw eggs are still growing of course, and 2nd gens have split before, so I'm sure many are holding onto their eggs until they know for sure what they have.
