S A M P L E ◦ I N T R O D U C T I O N
─── A gentle breeze awoke Silentfoot. After a large stretch, she stood. The sun was just barely coming up over the horizon, almost imperceptible. She glanced over at the other warriors, before to turning to leave. She sat there, listening to the sounds of the forest. It was always her favorite part of the day. She enjoyed the quiet, along with the sweet scent of nature. As she looked around her eyes fell upon the nursery. She thought of the kits, sleeping soundly. It warmed her heart. Slowly, she stretched out to lay down, waiting for her clan mates to wake from their sleep. The rustling of the leaves calmed her into nearly falling asleep herself, but she forced herself to stay awake.
─── A while had passed, and the camp was alive with her fellow dawnclan cats. She sighed and stood to leave. She padded out of the camp to hunt, temporarily glancing behind her at her clanmates.
─── (Apologies if my sample introduction wasn’t the best, it’s pretty late and I have a big test tomorrow so it was a little rushed lol)

S A M P L E ◦ I N T R O D U C T I O N
─── Mouse crouched down to look through the small hole in the fence that enclosed her yard. She could see the woods on the other side. She rolled onto her back and imagined she was out there, running through the trees. That would be so much better than being stuck here, with her owners who only seemed to care about their new puppy. The puppy didn’t know boundaries, it never left her alone, so she put it in its place. She made sure to never hurt it too bad, but for some reason her owners just didn’t understand. They threw her outside everytime she swatted at it! She rolled over onto her stomach and sat up, staring at the blue sky. It was a gorgeous day. Just as she was about to stretch out for a nap in the sun, she heard something. She whipped around to see that her owners had let out the puppy, and it was barreling towards her. She began to panic and unsheathed her claws. The yard had no protection, there were no trees to climb or bushes to hide in and the fence was much too tall to get to the top. She was about to go down fighting before she got an idea. She spun around and dropped to the ground. She drug herself through the hole in the fence as quickly as possible without cutting herself on the jagged edges of the wood.
─── Once she was safely to the other side, she turned around. The puppy was too big to fit anything more than its muzzle through the hole, but it tried anyway. She hissed and swatted at its nose a few times until it whined and ran off. “Hah! Mouse wins again!” she thought to herself, puffing out her chest triumphantly. Just then a wave of unease washed over her and she slowly turned to stare at the woods. She had never left her yard before, and now that she was face to face with the unknown she wasn’t sure what to do. She contemplated going back. Her owners would pet her, feed her, and give her everything she ever wanted. But somewhere deep down inside she felt a strange desire to venture out and see what was out there. “Just a little look…” she mewed quietly.
