Should I write a story?PART ONE
Elizabeth
I scurried across the street impatiently, just returning to my home. My mother stood hands-on-hips. "Yes?" I asked.
She smirked, taking her hands and putting them on my shoulders. "Elizabeth," She began. "Where have you been? Its 4 am." Suprisingly, she didnt yell.
I shifted my hands. "Umm... out with some friends. We had coffee at 12 am, ha, not a good idea, then we got a little hung over with laughter and hyperness, then we just... wandered."
Mom smiled. "Thats alright, honey. Every teenager has their moments." I now just notice She sounds a little droopy. I flinch as she drops a plate and a towel. She leaves it there. "Mom?" I ask. "Are you okay?"
She flopped onto the couch. "Y-eyes..yes, honey.. Everything is wonderful." She now laughed uncontrollably.
I peered into the kitchen for clues as she flipped through channels ranging from Barney to the News. I was a little bit of a slooth, so I tiptoed into the kitchen, keeping my eyes peeled.
Finally I saw 2 empty fancy cups, and a half a bottle of wine gone. Oh god.
My mom is drunk.

Hey, Leesh! I've been working on this for awhile now.
It's all our memories together! It was supposed to be your next birthday present...
But I suppose that if I'm letting you look at it now, I was unable to wait for your birthday.
Anyways, enjoy it, Babe! I had a hell of a time making it for you.
Love, Willy

"You sure? We haven't even cut the cake yet."
"Yeah, I'm sure, mum wants me home by one."
"You need a ride then?"
"Naw, my apartment is the street over."
"Alright, don't jaywalk."
"I promise. Bye."
Sofia started walking back home to her apartment after her friend's sister's 7 Birthday party. A butterfly was keeping her happy, so she didn't mind walking. As the lights turned red, the butterfly left. As she jaywalked, seeing she had it down perfectly, she felt like she was being followed. Great, gotta take the long way home. Sofia thought to herself. When she was old enough, her mother wisked her to self-defence classes. She got up to a black belt, and they always said: Iillued your attacker. Anything can be used as a barrier. Sofia zig-zaged in and out of trafic, lalmost colliding with a couple of bikers, but she was alright.As she got to the top of the street, she broke into a run. She hear increasing footsteps behind her. Almost there... She felt a had on her shoulder.
"Isn't it a bit dangerous for a girl like you to be walking on the streets of New York alone?"
And the world went black.

Shayla (f) and Jace (m)
I did once.
That friend ship that only comes once in a lifetime.
Because no matter the fights and tears,
They always come back
The party was in full swing. Soda was spilled onto desks and clothes, the scent of pizza wafting through the room. A movie was playing on the old television, which flickered stubbornly now and then. Almost everyone was there, giggling at the idiots on the screen. Most kids were sitting with at least an arms length away from each other, thanks to the small class.
All except for two. Two kids, brunette and black-haired, sat in a corner, head's leaned together as if telling a secret. Their legs touched, something that was forbidden in second grade. Usually, this would draw much attention, with taunts of cooties and such. But their was food and sugar in their faces. Who ignored that?
Anyways, the two were giggling. Hard. Shayla, a tiny girl with brunette ringletts, was holding the palm of her hand against her mouth, and blowing into it. This made a farting noise that any seven year old found hilarious. Especially Jace, her black haired friend. His green eye's glittered at every laugh as he tried to copy her. But it failed everytime.
"You know what?" Shayla was trying not to laugh loud, not wanting to be caught. The boy looked at her with a grin. "You make me seem smart. Which says alot."
They laughed together, rocking hard onto their lower backs. They muffled it with soft hands, still not knowing the pains of scars. "You're not dumb." He replied, knocking his skull against hers lightly. "Your smarter then anyone here. Even Mrs. Chan!" They stopped from bursting out again.
She then did something that would make them social outcasts, if anyone watched. Shayla wrapped her arms tightly around her best friend's neck, face buried in his neck. "Best friends forever?"
Jace nodded, hugging her back lightly. "And ever and ever." Of course, someone threw a pencil at them.
(The reason I'm showing these moments is to show them grow. I could've just showed you the end, but you couldn't find why I fell in love with them.)

Felicia woke up with a feeling of dread. She checked the calendar by her bed. September 10th. She had been right.
Exactly a year ago, her boyfriend Willy had been killed in a terrible car accident. She hadn't gone out with a single boy since his death and just the mere thought of him could still bring a flood of tears to her eyes.
She got up and put on the soft cotton dress Willy had given to her as a birthday present last year. It put a lump in her throat to think about all the times they had shared, but Felicia wasn't going to allow herself to cry. Not yet. Taking a shaky breath, she picked up her phone to text her mom, who was away on business. Her dad had been out of the picture sine he walked out on them when she was only 4, so whenever her mom went away, Felicia was left alone.
Just as she was hitting the send button, the doorbell rang. She walked downstairs, curious because there was no mail deliveries on Sundays an most of her friends knew she wanted to be alone on this particular day.
"Hi, Felicia."
Felicia stood open-mouthed at the door, gaping at the gorgeous girl standing on her doorstep. Realizing how stupid she must have looked, she snapped her mouth shut and tried to speak. "Wow! Um hi, Isabella. Not that I'm not pleased to see you ... but what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be up at Brown?"
Willy's older sister laughed. "I know I look different, it's okay to be shocked. I've been working out, getting into shape, cut and dyed my hair ... I decided it was time for a new look. Anyways," she continued, the smile leaving her face, "I came home for the weekend because I thought Mom and Dad might need some company. We were going through Willy's room and we found this."
She shifted through her backpack an pulled out a small photo album. "There was a note taped to it that said your name."
Felicia stared at the book and slowly took it in her hands. "Thanks, Isa."
The older girl smiled. "No problem, Felicia. I should probably get back home, but you take care okay? Know that we're all suffering today and call me anytime if you ever need anything. Love you, girl." She gave Felicia a hug an kissed her on the forehead.
Felicia breathed in deeply as she wrapped her arms around Isabella. Her scent was so familiar to Willy's. Releasing her, she smiled. "Love you too, Isa."
~~~
Back inside, Felicia curled up on the sofa and closed her eyes momentarily. Taking a deep breath, she opened the book.
You can be the peanut butter to my jelly
You can be the butterflies I feel in my belly
You can be the captain and I can be your first mate
You can be the chills that I feel on our first date
Already choking back tears, Felicia smiled at Willy's messy handwriting. Four pictures stared up at her. A PB&J sandwich, a butterfly and a ship surrounded a photo of the first date her and Willy had gone on. They had taken it in a photo booth and the silly picture made her laugh.
You can be the hero and I can be your side kick
You can be the tear that I cry if we ever split
You can be the rain from the cloud when it's stormin'
Or you can be the sun when it shines in the mornin'
The next page held another four pictures. This time, a teardrop, a raincloud and a smiling sun were positioned around a picture of their first Halloween together. Willy had gone as Batman and Felicia had gone as Robin. They were making superhero poses and laughing into the camera. It made her heart ache to see Willy's happy face smiling at her once more.
You can be the prince and I can be your princess
You can be the sweet tooth I can be the dentist
You can be the shoes and I can be the laces
You can be the heart that I spill on the pages
On the third page, Willy had pasted in pictures of a tooth, a prince and princess, and a heart. The center picture showed him bent on his knees, tying Felicia's shoe for her.
You can be the vodka and I can be the chaser
You can be the pencil and I can be the paper
You can be as cold as the winter weather
But I don't care as long as we're together
She flipped to the next page and laughed out loud. A vodka bottle, a pencil and pad of paper, and a snowflake were nothing compared to the big picture in the middle. Willy's best friend Todd had tied him and Felicia together with a sweatshirt and some old rope they had found so that they were facing each other, tummy-to-tummy. Felicia had her head thrown back in laughter while Willy was shaking his fist at a laughing Todd.
Don't know if I could ever be
Without you cause boy you complete me
And in time I know that we'll both see
That we're all we need
Several pictures of them covered the fifth page. One taken at the beach, another at the zoo, another at school ... in every singe one, they had their arms wrapped around each other. Felicia reached out and gently traced her fingers around Willy's face. Oh, how she missed him.
Cause you're the apple to my pie
You're the straw to my berry
You're the smoke to my high
And you're the one I wanna marry
The last page contained an apple pie, a strawberry, a cigarette and the picture Felicia had sitting on the table next to her bed. Willy was down on one knee, kissing Felicia's hand. She was looking down at him, blushing but smiling, with her other hand on her cheek. It had been on their 3rd anniversary, the last one they had spent together before Willy was killed. Turning to the back cover of the book, a small note was scrawled their.
Hey, Leesh! I've been working on this for awhile now.
But I suppose that if I'm letting you look at it now, I was unable to wait for your birthday.
