Mouse | Fire Omega | Location: Camp | Tagging: Arian, Rion
Mouse had nearly devoured the rabbit that had been offered to her. She didn't know when she was going to be able to eat so much at once again, or if this was going to end up as her last meal. The fluff of the rabbit had strewn around the dirt around her and she was gnawing on small leporine bones. As she heard paws approach, she kept her eyes down, towards her food. She had the instinct in her to protect what little she had, even though, as the Omega, she had nothing. She tucked her tail between her legs and let out a low whine.
"N-No..." She answered the voice. A brief glance at the speaker's paws told her it was Arian. Years of never making eye contact with wolves made her memorize who was who based on what their paws looked like. Arian's were so small, but that did not mean that the Lead Warrior was any less frightening. "The rabbit... found its way to me." If she were to implicate Rion directly, she would likely pay for it later. If she accused another pack wolf of giving an omega any prey, she would be accused of lying, even if her words were true. She was going to face the consequences of eating in whatever way they came to her.
A spark of defiance lit in her gut and she hurried to finish peeling the meat away from the carcass. There was no sense in wasting it and she didn't want any of her scraps to feed the vicious pack that she had been born into. While she kept her eyes carefully fixed on the ground, her teeth gnashed over the bones, scraping the soft bits left into her jaws. If only she was able to eat like this every day. Then maybe she would become strong enough to challenge the Alpha one day.
