In a forest live two Packs, Lightning and Fire, each standing for something very different. A river separates their territory, a very clear line. These Packs once lived in harmony, but that was a long time ago. A very, very long time ago. Now they are bitter enemies. Generations ago, a quarrel broke out between the Alphas, though no one aside from Alphas know, as knowledge of it has been passed down only from Alpha to future Alpha.


Fire Pack Info The Fire Pack are master fighters. Most of their members are trained specifically for battle, and they are enemies to be feared. They are led by what seems on the outside a heartless Alpha, Max. However, they do care for their Pack. These wolves are a nearly lawless type in tough times, not above petty tricks, kidnap, attacking without a real reason that’s stated, spying, trickery or, well... anything else, really. They'll do anything they can to increase their dominance and have the forest and all its hunting grounds to themselves, though often seek ways to do so without breaking the Code of Honour established between the Packs.

Lightning Pack Info The Lightning Pack spread their ranks out and are known for being strategists and family oriented more than battle oriented like their rivals. That said, they’re not afraid to fight. Their Alphas died not long ago, and they’d had no set Beta at the time, so it fell to their eldest daughter, Shadow, who now, almost three years later, leads with pride and joy. These wolves are just and fair, they play by the rules unless it’s absolutely impossible to survive without breaking them. They have a focus on social relationships, training their young to be the best they can be at what they want to be, and on establishing themselves as strong, worth being in the forest just as much as the Fire Pack.


However, now more trouble is on the horizon. It’s winter, prey will be scarce, especially in large game, tempers and anxieties will be high, and this is the season when tensions raise. Nobody understands how, but the quarrel of Alphas always seems to carry through the years, the new Alphas always find a reason to remain bitter at each other. This doesn’t get any better with the incoming cold season. Will they make it through all the storms, cold and rivalries to see the spring?

Lead Warrior: The Warrior in charge of leading Warriors when a Beta or Alpha cannot, and of organizing patrols. Chosen in RP unless arranged with me prior.

Lead Hunter: The Hunter in charge of hunting parties and Hunter organization. Chosen in RP unless arranged with me prior.

Warriors: The wolves who fight for and defend the Pack, the fighters.

Hunters: They Hunt for the Pack, oftentimes forming hunting parties to do so, and join in a fight if there is NO other choice.

Mothers: The she-wolves nursing or expecting pups

Elders: Wolves over 9 who have served their time in the Pack well. (Keep in mind wolves rarely live over 12. Sometimes, but not often in the wild)

Trainees: The wolves between 3 and 8 months old who are in training to become Warrior, Hunter or Healer. Healer training may run longer depending on circumstance.

Pups: young ones under 3 months old

Omega: The singular wolf that does the jobs no other wolf wants to do, and is often treated as less than others. This may be because of broken pack law, or failing in a challenge for the Alpha role. This wolf is forbidden from having a mate or young as long as they maintain this rank.

Pack: Lightning

Name: Shadow
Age: 6 years, 7 months
Gender: Female
Rank: Alpha

Personality: Shadow is courageous and a bit prideful. She believes strongly in equality and justice, and is unafraid to take action should the need arise, with the weakness of her soft spot for youngsters. Shadow is a very affectionate and motherly figure to young wolves, and often acts as a mentor of sorts to those who need assistance. For the most-part, she rules firmly, but not cruelly, and mostly leaves her wolves to their own devices, valuing everyone's individuality and uniqueness, even if at times, such as in the cases of Warriors Fish and Smoke, it gets on her nerves.

There is almost nothing that bothers Shadow more than blatant disrespect for one's elders or the hierarchy, and most shows of this are likely to cause her to snap. Shadow is a very respectful wolf herself, and believes that almost every wolf is worthy of trust and respect, save for those who are outright cruel. She knows very well how to hold a grudge, and will often hold a grudge for months if not years on end— hence the war— and can become very bitter. Shadow is a very emotional wolf overall, but often tried to bottle this up and conceal it for the better of her Pack so that she shows and overall strong, confident face. Most of the time, this is not hard, as Shadow is quite sound in and used to her role as Alpha, and is quite confident in her own leadership, being, and skills.

Shadow loves to spar and train, even though she is a graduated adult with high skill. Shadow is certainly not one to back down if she or her Packmates are provoked, and being as determined and protective as she is, she will fight to the bitter end for each and every one of her Packmates. While she isn’t afraid to lay down law and occasionally snap at, scold, or become cold to her Packmates, she will always stand by them. Shadow does not have many friends, as she’s distanced herself emotionally from most of her Pack in order to maintain a feeling and air of professionalism, with a few select exceptions to this rule, and there are many times she regrets not being closer to some of her Pack, but she firmly believes it's for the best.

Shadow has a soft spot for Pups and Trainees, and is more than a little protective over each and every one of them. She hasn’t been a mother in a long time, but when the chance arises, enjoys telling stories to the young and trying to inspire and encourage them, and is far gentler and warmer with them than she is with most of her Packmates.

Even if she’s not a strategist, Shadow is a thinker, a philosopher. She likes to contemplate the little things in life, and tends to overthink big decisions, weighing out each and every pro and con, and often seeking advice. Shadow strives to be the best of the best, and believes she has achieved that, as a skillful fighter and a firm ruler. Her mind state is not the most stable, and wavers from time to time. She’s fine most of the time, but on occasion, she forgets herself and has depressive episodes or moments where she’s not quite clear-minded. Despite this, she’s very firm in her decisions, and does not second guess herself once she had spoken, and she commands respect. Shows of disrespect are more often than not met with at least a scolding, if not worse, depending on her mood at the time, and the overall situation.

Pack: Lightning

Name: Leo
Age: 1 year, 6 months
Gender: Male
Rank: Warrior

Personality: Leo is bubbly, energetic, curious, and upbeat, and probably unhealthily affectionate, due to having been deprived of the closeness of a Pack for almost four months after his incident, he craves contact. He’s unaware for the most-part of exactly how clingy he is, unfortunately. He didn’t have support when he was on his own, and wants to make sure nobody else feels alone, so tries his best to offer support and encouragement when he can. Leo can be a bit impulsive, and aggressive when his home or his family and friends are threatened. He’s a bit moody on occasion, and clingy to say the least.

Leo is dedicated to what he does, and loyal to his friends and family. He strives to be the best Warrior he can, like his mother before him, although more than once he’s wondered if he would’ve been better as a Healer, whose whole job is to help others, with Leo himself often acting as a protective figure for his Packmates when the chance presents itself. Leo likes taking risks and stepping outside the box. He’s very open-minded, but indecisive most of the time. Leo is an emotional wolf, and makes no secret of it. He’s fine just being completely himself, and is quite humble most of the time. He does like being in the spotlight from time to time though!

Leo isn’t afraid to flirt with almost any wolf in his age range, even if it’s not for serious purposes and more for fun, and is DEFINITELY a bit of an attention seeker. He’s protective, and always tries to look on the bright side of things. He’s good at putting things together, even if he’s a bit naive to the world around him.


History: He's not shy. When he was six months old, Leo and his sisters took a walk and accidentally crossed the border. They encountered the Beta at the time of the Fire Pack, who attacked and killed his sisters Anna and Merida, and Leo just barely escaped. He returned after a while out on his own to his own Pack, and went on to become a Warrior. He is unaware of his true parentage, and wonders often if there’s something he’s missing. He is not usually aggressive, but holds bitterness towards their rivalling Pack for the attack and murder of his littermates, whom he was quite protective over.

Name: Fish
Age: 4 years
Gender: Female
Rank: Warrior

Personality: Fish is generally cheerful and bubbly, a happy-go-lucky wolf, quite energetic no matter what the situation, and always willing to crack a joke- puns are her favourite whenever she gets the chance and is in the mood- about anything. She’s very friendly, but quite an in-your-face kind of wolf, which can be more than a little off-putting. She’s very social, and she wants to do her best for her Pack, which sadly is not enough. She’s been quite well trained as a Warrior, but often thinks she should have been an All-Around, given her love of fishing, even if all she knows how to catch are trout.

On the surface, Fish does not appear very intelligent. She’s a bit out of the loop in general, and is slow on the uptake. She’s not a strategist, and is quite gullible. However, she DOES have reasoning and logic to a degree, and is very empathetic to those around her. Fish is an emotional wolf, and unafraid to show it. That and she has no filter, for like, anything. She acts however she wants, whenever she wants, and says what’s on her mind, regardless of what others may think or say. She doesn’t appear to care what others think of her, but truly, she wishes she’d be able to make ONE real friend. She remembers having had one once, but that friend has long since disappeared.

Fish is quite blind to whether others like her or not for the most part, and doesn’t pick up easily on if others are frustrated with her. She’s blissfully oblivious to much. When Fish connects to someone as a friend, she connects strongly, and will support them to the end, and accept them for who they are, and not place on them any judgements. Despite the hierarchy system, Fish sees all wolves as equals, regardless of skills, rank, age, or gender, and bases her opinions solely on actions.

Fish is quite determined and stubborn despite her overall goofiness, and unafraid to take action when she needs to. She has a good memory for the little things, but strangely has a hard time recalling important information. She may be an oddball, spending much of her time in the river and sleeping in trees instead of a den, but she’s loyal to the core, and when it comes to fighting, she knows to take things seriously. Fish is by no means totally selfless, but nor is she selfish, so much as impulsive, and perhaps even bordering on reckless, she has no inner voice of reason. She’s open-minded and ready to accept and try change, though she does harbour a fear of the unknown, and even more, a fear of being left out of the loop, large due to her memory gaps.

History: Fish was born into the Lightning Pack. However, a walk in the forest after her parents split led to her mother's unfortunate fate, and Fish herself taking a fall…straight into the river. She claims a pair of salmon are her parents now, and has a tendency to be found in rivers and trees somehow, but it’s pretty common knowledge that something's not quite right in her head, so very few take her claims— any of them— very seriously.

Pack: Lightning

Name: Toby
Age: 2 years, 4 months
Gender: Male
Rank: Hunter

Personality: Toby is a very open and fun-loving wolf. He takes his job very seriously, and likes to look on the bright side of every situation. For all the bad in the world, there’s an equal amount of good, in his opinion. He’s bubbly and cheerful, yet empathetic, and not so much an in-your-face wolf as a curious and excessively supportive one.

Toby is an imaginative and creative thinker. He likes to look at hard situation in an abstract way, and consider ALL possibilities. He has genuine empathy and respect for each and every one of his Packmates, sometimes a little more than he should, as he often takes their burdens onto himself. Toby is very openly emotional and sensitive, which is good in some ways, and bad in others, as it has meant he does not have much of a filter.

Toby is not as impulsive as some wolves, and almost always considers his actions before he takes them. However, he’s not afraid to make unexpected or reckless moves when a situation calls for it. He's very brave, even if he couldn’t quite be considered selfless, and always looks out for his Packmates. Toby is quite prideful about what he does, and yet a bit awkward, and he has a high focus on family, valuing that family above all else.

Pack: Lightning

Name: Karter
Age: 2 years, 4 months
Gender: Male
Rank: Warrior

Personality: Karter is a rather sarcastic and dry fellow, if not determined, confident on the surface, and doesn’t react particularly well to high stress situations, try as he might, unless he has some reassurance of his own safety and— if any— the safety of his loved ones. He will do anything he can for his own survival and benefit, save for the sacrifice of the one or two wolves he may have that are closest to his heart. Those are the ones he would do anything for. He’s incredibly loyal to those few, and will open his heart to them, the wolves he truly loves. However, he knows that doesn’t make him good, as he would— sometimes begrudgingly— even work for all the wrong people or do things most wolves would not see as being "right" if it helps HIM move forward.

Karter is solitary and focused. He’s not opposed to social interaction, but he’s certainly not the life of the party. He’d rather watch before he approaches someone, deem them to be "safe" or not. He's adverse to touch when not warned first, or with a stranger/near stranger. When he’s not busy with his work, he can often be found watching and taking mental notes about what he observes. He often needs to retreat, hiding from the chaos. Sometimes at social gatherings or parties he tries to flirt or make people laugh just for the heck of it, as at the end of the day, he’s still a wolf, and wolves are pack animals. While not an extrovert, Karter can still APPRECIATE company on occasion.

Karter is what one may call an adrenaline junkie. He'll do anything for the thrill and the burst of adrenaline it gives him, it’s his drive. Sometimes he ends up putting himself in…precarious situations for such reasons. However, he's liable to panic attacks and desperation if he finds himself in a truly dangerous situation, and he is not above ANYTHING in order to maintain his own safety, be it something as low as pleading, or something as extreme as attacking HIS attacker. Whatever it takes. He’s never one to skip out on a fight, and despite his physical challenges, he’s often the one to attack first, and prompts attackers to get them revved up.

Karter is very instinctive, and always follows his gut feeling, no matter what it leads him to. He has sharp senses, and does his best to put them to good use. Karter is able to acknowledge his own flaws, physical and mental alike, and will even acknowledge them aloud, often very dismissively, and sometimes to the faces of others, unafraid of what others think of him. That doesn’t mean he prides himself on those flaws.

Karter is flighty, and liable to run from situations when he can, assuming it’s not a fight he started in the first place, and especially if it seems impossible odds, even if it leaves others at risk. He often feels no remorse about such things, though is decent at faking it should the need to do so arise. He’s selfish and he knows if, and sadly, he has no wish to change things on that front. He feels insecure about a number of things. For all his callous and cold commentary here and there, Karter is quite an emotional youngster, and he’s unafraid to show it when the need to should arise.

Pack: Lightning Pack

Name: Blizzard
Age: 4 years, 6 months
Gender: Male
Rank: Warrior

Personality: Blizzard is energetic and hyper most of the time, save for those few times where he'll sink into a depressive episode. Mick can usually help with that! Blizzard is loyal to the bone, and would never let harm come to the Pack if there was anything he could do about it. He likes a good fight, and places strong value on his friends and Packmates.

Blizzard can be a bit judgemental and is highly emotional, being quick to snap and slow to recover, and he has a hard time admitting to his faults. However, he always tries his best to make things work out for the better. He’s also a cuddler with the wolves he's closest to, very touchy-feely.

Blizzard gets angry easily, having a sometimes grumpy or angry demeanour, but he tries his best to keep it in check, for everyone's sake. He’d rather NOT be the Packmate everyone hates on.

Appearance: Blizzard is an average sized wolf with sleek white fur and ice blue eyes.

Beta: He doesn’t think he’s suited for it, but if offered the role, he wouldn’t turn it down.

Name: Max
Age: 7 years, 8 months
Gender: Male
Rank: Alpha

Personality: Max is cold and firm, even with his own Pack, and is unafraid to lay down law, sometimes quite harshly. He loves being in control of a situation, and hates feeling below anyone else. He has to be on the top at all times, be the literal top-dog. He has a weakness for deals. No matter what the situation, he'll always be willing to stop and listen to a potential deal.

Max is manipulative, he likes to fill wolves' heads with ideas. He loves to pick fights, both for his aggressive streak and to prove his prowess, as he is prideful at having only rarely lost a battle due to his excessive size and strength. Max loves his family above all else, and will be undyingly loyal to them, no matter what the situation. His Pups are his pride and joy.

Max is cold on the surface and does not display much emotion most of the time. He is a thinker and a strategist, and likes to apply tactic as well as brute force, but can unfortunately be more than a little impulsive and reckless. He’s prideful, and this can often get in his way. He loves to compete in whatever way he can.

Max knows how to hold a grudge, and a strong one at that. He never forgets or forgives an insult, to himself or any of the few wolves he loves, and is unafraid to take revenge, or give way to cruel reactions.

Max knows when it’s time to be serious and despite his harshness, he acts as a pillar for his Packmates, building them up with strength and skill, creating a strong foundation for them. He does not fully trust anyone outside of his mate and a select few others, but he has faith in the physical and mental abilities of all his Packmates, and will always do his best to support them in his own way.

Personality: Arian is fiery and has a strong will. She wants her way and if there’s a way she can have it, she'll pounce on it. She can be quite snappish and short-tempered, however, she does respect and obey her superiors. If there is one thing Arian understands, it is strength. She respects strength, and wolves who are strong, both physically and mentally. She has no tolerance for disrespect.

Arian is always on the move, she likes to be kept active, rather than lazing around most of the time, and adores her job, both for the honour of defending her Pack, and for the thrill of the fight. Arian is a strategist and a trickster in battle, largely due to her small size, she relies on this, and prizes herself on it. That said, she is a very proud wolf and is not afraid to truly be herself, and doesn’t care the opinion of others regarding her.

Arian dislikes those who are impulsive and reckless overall, she admires someone who thinks before they act. She admires someone who knows who they are, and what they’re doing. She herself knows who she is, and is very solid on that. Unfortunately, part of that is also that she’s a bit of a pessimist, living in the moment and looking often at what’s happened in the past, and while she’s working on it, she has some issues looking towards the future, preferring to dwell on the past and live in the moment.

Arian is a lone wolf in a sense, as she often suspects others find it hard to be around her and her temper, and that’s okay with her. What happens, happens, and that’s that. She doesn’t mind being alone if that’s the way she was born to be. That said, it doesn’t mean she WANTS to be on her own. Despite her sharp tongue and impatience, Arian is a social enough wolf once she’s found it in herself to place trust in someone.

On the flipside of Arian's overall impatience and mistrust is a side that loves good, lighthearted fun, and craves positive interaction. She tries her best to be a support, though this can often come off at her just giving someone the blunt, brutal honesty, and attempting to give them ways to fix whatever the problem at hand is. She always tries her best to channel her strengths into keeping those under her command at any given time in line.


History: Arian was born to the Fire Pack and has been there happily. She’s always been a bit battle-hungry, and is more than happy to join in the fight. She lost her mother when she was a little more than a year old, and her father still dwells in the Pack somewhere, but is quite estranged from her. Arian doesn’t mind that in the least.

Sexuality: Bi, has never considered poly, but would be (tentatively) open should a partner want to try it. Monogamous by choice.

Pups: None yet, doubts she'll have them, but would like.

Appearance: A very small mottled red, grey, and black she-wolf with amber eyes and a small scar on her right front leg.

Beta: Arian is content where she is, though if offered a higher position, would not decline.

Name: Kassandra (Kass)
Age: 3 years, 6 months
Gender: Female
Rank: Hunter

Personality: Kassandra on the surface is a very confident and fun-loving young wolf with lots of energy. She’s a general flirt to males and females alike that she finds interesting, or wants information from, and enjoys engaging in that way. She’s quite selfish, and will stop at nothing to get what she wants and needs. Kass carries an air of authority with her, even when not in a position of power, and isn’t afraid to act like she’s the top dog when need be. She’s not afraid to twist morals and ethics around if it benefits her. Ultimately, despite her social and cheerful surface, she is loyal only to herself and who she considers to be her family. If anyone else stops being useful, she'll have no qualms about turning her back. Kass is not a trusting or forgiving wolf, and it takes quite a lot to get her to open up to her more vulnerable side.

On that soft side, Kass is sensitive. She’s incredibly emotional, bottled up years of pain and worry that she tries to keep to herself, pushing others away when they get too close. Fears, doubts, self-loathing when she’s at her worst, and it’s a lot to take, but she also has a side that’s genuinely affectionate and wants attention. A side of her that will find trust in someone and whom she will be undyingly loyal to, whom is the one or two wolves outside her family she feels is worthy of seeing both the good AND the bad, and whom is worthy of her trust and respect.

Kassandra values strength and hierarchy above all else. Honour? Bah. Unless it serves her or her loved ones, what does it matter? Once Kassandra's true colours are revealed, she doesn’t try to hide them, but lets people do what they will with that information, for as far as she’s concerned, she is who she is, for better or for worse. She’s not all bad though. She has a genuine care for youngsters, and will gladly act as a mentor for those younger than her, though whether her mentoring is GOOD is debatable...

Kass likes big events and gatherings, and having fun, sometimes even playing pranks. She doesn’t like super serious situations, but won’t shirk them either. She can be quite aggressive when needed, though she dislikes that side of herself, personally. She’s very independent and wants her way, and even if she has to work to get it, once she’s set her heart on something, she’ll go above and beyond for it. Is she selfish? To say the least. She’s aware of it too, and has certainly embraced it as part of herself. However, she’s also aware of her sweeter and gentler side, and when the chance presents itself and she finds she can place trust, it’s that side she prefers to show.
